If you or the kids play online on a Switch, you need Nintendo Switch Online, and a year of it is normally £17.99. EE Tech & Gaming has the 12-month individual membership with the code BIRTHDAY10 knocking £10 off, so it's down to £7.99, which is about as cheap as a year of it gets.
Add the code BIRTHDAY10 at checkout for the £10 off. The one catch is that you need to be signed in to an EE account for the code to work, but that's free to set up.
Two useful bits of information.
