We know that the CBeebies Christmas Show is super popular, year in, year out, so we are delighted to let you know that the ballot for this year's show of The Nutcracker is now open!
Firstly, when and where will it be filmed?
There's a dress rehearsal at 4.30pm on Friday 4th November 2016 and two live performances at 1pm and 4.30pm on Saturday 5th November 2016. All performances are at The Crucible, Sheffield.
How do I get a ticket?
CBeebies allocate tickets for their yearly 'panto' by a ballot. This is because it's seriously popular.
The ballot is now open to applications and will close at 11am on 18th October 2016. It doesn't matter when you apply for your tickets between now and closing, as it's not done on first come first served basis.
Tickets are issued at random after the closing date. However, if you have a Sheffield postcode, you are more likely to be lucky. You can only have a maximum of six tickets per application and e-tickets for successful applicants will be sent out by the end of Friday 21st October 2016.
Tickets are required for everyone attending, including all children, and adults and babes in arms.
Performances are recorded for television, so because of this CBeebies state that the show may be stop-and-start, scenes may need to repeated if need be, and children attending will be asked to sit and participate in the recording for the full duration. With this in mind the show is recommended for children aged 4 upwards.
You can still apply for tickets if you children are younger but bear in mind the above. Whilst it's a fun even for children, the production team do reserve the right to remove audience members who are causing a significant disruption to the show recording.
Successful e-ticket applicants, are not guaranteed a seat, so you are advised to arrive early. The BBC issue more tickets than they can have attend as many people who apply don't turn up.
