This is another bargain in the Boots toy reductions, as the My First Thomas and Friends Twisting Tower Tracks set is now half price, down from £30 to £15. It's still selling for more than £30 on Amazon, and the next best price to Boost is £22.49 at Toys R Us, so Boots is by far the lowest price right now.
I'll spare you the marketing blurb as my son has this so I can tell you exactly what it is. It's two tracks that twist around at a really steep angle, so the Thomas train that comes with it whizzes at high speed round the tracks. One one track Thomas will fly out of a swinging gate, on the other he will end up on a small circuit underneath the tower.
For the age group that this is aimed at of 18 months and above, sending Thomas whizzing down these twisty tracks really does provide a lot of fun. As well as Thomas we have had various other items sent down he tracks as experiments (balls, metal cars, spoons, apples...) and again that's lots of fun.
Is this track worth £30? No, I don't think so, but I paid nearer £17 for this before Christmas and for that I think it was really good value considering how much it gets played with. I think to get this Thomas and Friends Twisting Tower Tracks for £15 is a very good deal indeed.
