Fisher-Price Baby Studio Seat And Rocker £39.99 (was £79.99) @ Tesco

Fisher-Price Baby Studio Seat £39.99 (was £79.99) @ Tesco I LOVE THIS!  Of all the baby purchases I've made over the years (and there've been a lot), the rocking baby seat is one of the things that really earned its keep - in my opinion, they are an absolute MUST.

If you aren't keen on brightly-coloured plastic furniture and would prefer something a little more in-keeping with the rest of your home (assuming, of course, the rest of your furniture isn't bright plastic!) then you may well fall in love with it too.

Its elegant wooden frame curves beautifully and adjusts easily, allowing the seat to be in either a 'stationary' or 'rocking' position.  Being able to stabilise rocking seats is particularly useful when it comes to feeding times - many a spoonful of food has ended up as edible  face paint due to unintentional rocking!

It also has mesh sides - a clever idea that allows baby to feel safe and enclosed whilst still being able to see what's going on to both sides, and puts a stop to things falling over the sides and out of reach. The seat also has a removeable  'head-hugger' to support tiny babies' heads and there is, of course, the all-important safety harness which has a little pocket attached and holds a toy with a mirror to play with.

The small unobtrusive unit underneath the seat plays eight songs and nature sounds and vibrates gently, all of which help to soothe and comfort your baby.  It takes 3 'C' batteries but I can't find anywhere to say whether they're included or not.

If you're a clubcard holder you'll earn points on this purchase and if you order before midday Sunday through Friday then Tesco will try their best to deliver it to you the next day (orders placed on  Saturdays are usually delivered the following Monday).

I am so smitten with this chair I almost wish my youngest was small enough again just so I could have one!  On second thoughts, maybe I'll just enjoy it vicariously through all of you who go and buy one instead.
