If you struggle to think of cheap activities for the kids on the school holidays this looks like a great idea for getting them out and about and burning off some of that excess energy. Gofindit is an outdoor scavenger hunt game with a set of cards tasking children and families to explore the world around them and search out different objects. It's only £8.50 at Amazon right now, so I'm ordering one now ready for the Easter holidays.
The gofindit cards come with lots of different things for children to find, but rather than getting them to search for a specific item the idea is to find something that is smooth, spotty, bendy, stripey and so on. The idea is to encourage children to really look at the things around them and do some outdoor exploring.
The cards come in a small drawstring bag that is ideal for taking away with you on days out and holidays and it looks like loads of fun for the whole family.
You could make your own version of this game for a lot less if you are artistic, but if you struggle for time like me this could be a great little game to take away with you.
