Celebaby: Christina Aquilera is Pregnant Again
Having only just announced her engagement to fiancé Matthew Rutler, it seems the baby news came as a happy surprise to the couple. Christina's fiancé popped the question on Valentine's Day after three years of being an item.
Christina shared the news of her engagement with her followers on Twitter, sharing the amazing snap above along with the caption:
"He asked and I said......."
Um, judging by the size of the rock on her ring finger, we're assuming the answer was a resounding Yes.
Christina is already mum to a little boy, six-year-old Max, and while the couple haven't formally announced the pregnancy, the news has hit the press just six days after their engagement.
Us Weekly reports:
"Looks like Christina Aguilera is going to have a "beautiful" 2014 -- with a baby on the way plus a wedding! As Us Weekly exclusively revealed on Thursday, Feb. 20, the Grammy-winning singer, 32, is pregnant with her second child. The happy news comes nearly a week after Aguilera announced her engagement to Matt Rutler, her boyfriend of three years."
"As it turns out, production assistant Rutler had been plotting a proposal before Aguilera discovered the baby news. The pregnancy "wasn't expected, but it also wasn't unwelcome. They are all very excited though! Christina loves being a mom," a source reveals."
"The baby-to-be will join big brother Max, Aguilera's 6-year-old with ex-husband Jordan Bratman. "They just want a healthy baby," the source adds."
And in the UK, the Daily Mail reports:
"While the couple have not yet confirmed the report, Kathleen Rutler, Matthew’s mother, told In Touch that she’s ‘been sort of told not to say anything,’ but hinted that the couple are expecting."
"Asked if they are planning a move to the East Coast from LA, she said: ‘I don’t know what their plans are. But when you have a baby, you’re not planning on moving anywhere anytime soon!’"
"Speaking about the star, she added: ‘We love Christina. She’s a Rutler.’"
Mega-congrats to the happy couple! It's going to be a big year for them...
