Celebaby: Kate Silverton Has Given Birth To Her Second 'Miracle Baby'
BBC journalist and broadcaster Kate Silverton has given birth to her second baby.
Kate took to her Twitter account to share the happy news with her followers and fans, writing:
"Gorgeous morning all - Introducing #Wilbur our little ray of sunshine x"
Hello magazine reports:
"The little boy is a brother for two-year-old Clemency, her daughter by husband Mike Heron."
"Clemency's little baby brother - Wilbur Silverton-Heron - was born 26 June 2014 at 02.53 and weighed 8lbs 3oz."
Kate described her second pregnancy as 'beyond a miracle' due to the fact that she had an ovary removed during surgery to treat a cyst. Soon after announcing her second pregnancy, she said:
"It seems it's also beyond the doctors' understanding, too. It's simply amazing and we are so excited."
Kate conceived her first baby naturally after undergoing four failed rounds of IVF, and baby Wilbur is a similarly 'miraculous' baby.
As for the couple's choice of name, Kate says Wilbur has been named "after after the man who first inspired my love of #africa and its wildlife".
We think it's a cute moniker and a touching gesture. Did you name your baby after someone special?
