Asda Recall Buzz Lightyear Costumes Due To Risk Of Strangulation

Asda Recall Buzz Lightyear Costumes

Asda have just issued a recall on their Buzz Lightyear Sound Effect Costumes, and if you have one you should return it to store for a full refund.

The issue is that the cord on the wings of the costume could present a strangulation hazard for younger children, and that the outfit does not carry the appropriate hazard warning label.

All sizes are being recalled, and you can obtain a full refund from Asda stores with no receipt necessary.

There have been other recent recalls of children's fancy dress costumes from Asda, so while you are checking the dressing-up box make sure you don't have this Horrible Histories Dressing Up Costume, or this Spiderman Costume .

You can keep up to date with all the recentrecalls here.

Great. My son will be devastated :slight_frown:

Surely common sense would be to not give younger children the wings???

  • Sarah P.

    Bloody hell x

  • Toni S.

Its only the string on the wings that they say are dangerous

In all fairness I dont see how the elastic on the wings pose a strangulation hazard tho. Its elastic and they've got velcro in the middle so it would snap open with too much pressure :frowning:
