I just saw an advert that has quite possibly changed my life. It was for the Samsung SmartThings Starter Kit*. Basically, I have three sometimes four children to organise and get out the door, this can be hectic and nine times out of ten I leave the house wondering if I unplugged my GHDs or switched off the heater.
This gadget will switch that off those items using an App, meaning I don't need to U-Turn to check. The thing is that Samsung one is £199.99, as dottled as I am I cannot justify that much money. There are other elements that you can purchase to work along with this too, all much cheaper than the Samsung version.
So, we know that the Belkin WeMo Smart Home Remote Switch would alleviate our fears of leaving Hair Straighteners on but I have an even better use. Switch off your little one's lamp or night light without needing to go into the room, thus not wakening them.
The Belkin WeMo Smart Home Remote Switch works by wifi and an app. You link your switch to your internet at home and the app requires internet connection when out and about.
Not the cheapest gadget in the world, but a cool one for those of you that are as forgetful as I, when your hands are full.
