Take That fans this is one for you! If you recently watched Let It Shine featuring Gary Barlow on BBC One, you will know that they were on the hunt for a new band to feature in a musical stage show based on Take That.
If you have been itching to get your hands on tickets to see the show, you will be pleased to know that they are now available!
The theatre show is called 'The Band' and is a musical written by Tim Firth. It's produced by David Pugh and Dafydd Rogers alongside Gary Barlow, Howard Donald, Mark Owen, Robbie Williams.
The Band is a British musical about what it's like to grow up with a boy band. For five 16 year-old friends in 1992, 'the band' is everything. Twenty-five years on, we are reunited with the group of friends, now 40-something women, as they try once more to fulfil their dream of meeting their heroes.
Take That have said:
“We are incredibly proud and excited that our first production as theatre producers is THE BAND – a musical that we think will touch the hearts of not just our fans, but everyone."
There are several tour dates available between September 2017 and July 2018, they include dates at Manchester, Stoke-on-Trent, Glasgow, Liverpool, Bristol and Edinburgh.
As an avid Take That fan back in the 90's I NEED to see this! It would be a great idea for a girls night out or hen party! I still haven't forgiven my Mum for taking us away on holiday the week Take That came to town, I remind her of it to this day! Maybe she can make up for it by grabbing us some tickets to see The Band instead! Hint, hint!
