The Shulips Review
I don’t know about you, but after my pregnancy I really struggled to get back into wearing high-heeled shoes. I used to wear them everywhere, I could even run in them, but now they tend to eat my feet.
I then discovered that feet can change size in pregnancy and stay that way! This meant that I was doomed to pain whenever I wore my lovely, lovely shoes. Until I found Shulips. These teeny, tiny inventions are pure genius and are basically heel cushions that you stick inside your shoes. The Shulips hook over the back of your shoes, forming a cushion to ensconce your heels in comfy bliss.
They come in a range of different colours so that they blend with your shoes (bonus) and because they stick into the heel they don’t move while you walk. It took a couple of tries to get my Shulips to fit properly into my zombie shoes but once they were in, they were in. And my shoes went from painful to comfortable in an instant.
The Shulips stopped my feet from sliding down as much (these are six-inch heels) and stopped that heel rubbing thing. Occasionally the Shulip would fold inwards but I think that may well have been user error when installing them, I really did have to unpeel and restick them a lot.
They were invented by Mario Granito when he noticed Hollywood A-listers like Jennifer Aniston wearing plasters on their heels to save their skin.
It makes me feel much better knowing that it isn’t just because I can’t afford to spend £4k on a pair of shoes…
I love the shulips, I do. They cost £4.99 for a pack of two. Unfortunately they are not reusable so you’ll need to get one set per pair.
