CHILL, BABY Li'l Lager Baby Bottle : Really?!

CHILL, BABY Li'l Lager Baby Bottle, Really?!
1 May 2016

Well if I thought the recent Champagne Flute Baby Bottle we featured was strange, the CHILL, BABY Li'l Lager baby bottle is just, well wrong. My friend recently brought one back from a trip to the U.S. and brought it along to show us at a recent get together and the reactions were VERY mixed.

Now I'm no prude, I like a glass of vino as much as the next mum, but this just doesn't sit well with me at all. No, I don't think it's going to cause babies to grow up and have alcohol problems or indeed have any long term adverse effects, I just think it looks awful and well, a bit tacky.

My group of friends were divided on this, some thought it looked cute, while others, myself included, weren't impressed. I try not to judge other mums but I honestly can't think of a situation where I'd feel comfortable using this with my baby - can you imagine the judgemental looks you'd get?!

I'd love to know what you think of this, is it a bit of harmless fun, cute even, as one mum suggested, or are you not a fan? Would you buy it for your own baby?

Oh and if you do want to buy one from the U.S. you can check it out here. They're also available in the U.K. from Amazon* but beware, they're not cheap!

I think it's cute and harmless for a photoshoot prop or a novelty for a dress-up outfit/ fancy dress party. But I think it possibly could give the wrong image that drinking alcohol is cool, but I think this message is very much out there anyway with the amount of underage drinking that goes on in the world anyway.

Wtf why would anyone buy this this??

  • Melissa S.

Ha! Come on now, it's hardly child abuse :smirk:

Really tacky, why would you actually spend your money on this??

It's a gag/joke bottle. Something to be used at Halloween or a fancy dress party. No-one would seriously use this item for everyday use!!

  • Amy S.

I know!!! It's obviously a joke. But jeez the mums on here are basically calling it child abuse :sob::sob::sob:

You ask for Sens of humour. And I ask what is funny about teaching and encouraging a child to drink at this age . And then we will ask for people to make donation when they end up with stupid diseases.
