Weekend Plans - Father Christmas

Is it OTT to go to a few 'switching on the lights' ceremonies and so on? Does it confuse kids about father christmas? or is it better to just go to one? Thoughts?

No more so than visiting more than one Santa grotto I guess. But that's likely to happen as there's often a Santa at lots of events at this time of the year. Last year one of Daniel's friends wanted to know why the Santa we had just seen was not the same man he'd seen the year before. His mum explained that because Santa couldn't be absolutely everywhere all over the world in the run up to Christmas as it was such a busy time of the year, very special men and women were allowed to be Santa in his place. And whatever you told that Santa, the real Father Christmas would know too.
