I am so not ready to start thinking about next Christmas yet, but this Wooden Medieval Castle might just be my first purchase. My kids would LOVE it, and at £59.99 down from the original price of £79.99, I pretty much feel the same way about it.
This castle has multiple play levels of play, complete with a fully working drawbridge plus an opening and closing door - and isn't it always those kind of things that kids just love about a toy like this?
It's also available on a free delivery offer, which is always good.
It has been rated an average of 4 stars out of a possible 5 stars by Argos customers, and the reviews are generally very positive. Listen to this:
"I'm the grandma of 2 boys age 7 and 9. I bought this castle for them to play with at my house, they have their own bedroom here and come for visits and sleepovers. It is certainly a change from all the 'techno' stuff they have. They are well impressed! I had to buy figures from another site - no choice at Toys R Us. It is a lovely big size so not fiddly to play with. There is far more to it than any other I have seen and in comparison well worth the money. I found it quite easy to put together, the only thing I had to work out was the mechanics (piece of string) of the draw bridge, and I'm a creaky old gran, but done in a short length of time - it was harder to dispose of all the packaging. Very pleased with this product."
