If you're sitting there melting in todays heat, you might want to consider getting something like the Pool Play Centre to help cool the kids down. Argos has this in its clearance section on eBay for £15.99
I haven't been able to find out much about this product. There's not a lot on the site about it, and the original isn't on the Argos website anymore. Nor can I find it sold elsewhere. Similar types of paddling pools seem to carry a price tag of around £40 though.
What you do get included with the inflatable pool is an inflatable palm tree (which has a height of 147cm), a slide, a basketball and a four ring toss, and a spray flower. You get a ball with it as well.
The pool measures 295cm long, 188cm wide and 30cm high (apart from the palm tree!). The pool has a capacity of 662 litres and takes approximately 12 minutes to fill. To inflate the pool takes five minutes.
It is recommended for ages 3 to 6, and has a weight restriction of 45kg.
