How I would have loved this toy as a child. The Playmobil Fire Rescue Helicopter 5842 has been reduced to half price by Toys R Us. Down from £12.99 to £6.49. Definitely something to consider stocking up for Christmas. I spent just on £15 on the Toys R Us website yesterday and got free delivery too. If there's something else you need see if that works out for you as well.

The customer reviews on the site are mostly pretty favourable. This is typical: "Fun to play with (or without) water, in the bath or paddling pool. Fantastic for imaginative play. Bought them for my boys, and then bought another for my nephew. Would definately recommend."
Generally, I find Playmobil expensive. But, the build quality is nearly always really so good it is worth the price. My son still plays with items he got years ago. Playmobil aren't perfect, they do some daft things at times (the wings on the Red Dragon on the Dragon Castle set come off far too easily) but overall they're one of the best toy manufacturers out there.
