An excellent little present this one. This is the Geomag sports car, normally £9.99 but now at £5.43. Delivery is free with Amazon Prime. We've got a number of Geomag sets in our house. There's something about magnets that has a universal appeal. My little boy loves them, but also so do I!
This is a construction set. You can use the pieces (and there are 20 of them) to build your own Fast and Furious sports car. This is done using a 'click' system, a rather ingenious magnetic setup with magnetic rods and chrome spheres. With these two basic elements, a large number of geometric shapes and structures can be made. By adding panels, it can help to form rigid and colourful structures.
The set contains 2 Magnetic Rods 4 Chromed Steel Spheres 4 wheels, 4 Tyres & 4 Hubcaps 2 Sheets of stickers.
There's only one review on the site though, and they give it a one star review. This seems to be based purely on the car you make, which surely misses the point a bit? With these sets, isn't it the building that's the important bit?
The reveiwer also says they bought this for their six year old son who "likes Geomag panels. By the way as good as it is the box contains many plastic panels and not so many magnetic parts. It is not enough to build anything bigger."
