Candy Floss Maker £13.49 (was £24.99) @ Argos

1 February 2010

candyFloss1 Mention candy floss to me and I'm 8 years old in an instant - the smell of hotdogs and onions lingers in the air, the whir of generators fills my ears and I watch the stick twirl round and round and round until there's a huge poofy cloud of pink stuff  on the end of it. Ahhhh the memories...

Come on, admit it, you always wanted to have a go at twirling the stick round and round too haven't you! No?  So it was just me then...well ok, but even if YOU don't want to I can guarantee your kids are going to LOVE IT!

This would make a great kids party activity, or for making before watching that movie with your child for the thousandth time, or maybe just for rainy days to kill a bit of time.

candyFloss2It comes with 10 paper cones to twirl your big fluffy cloud of sugar on to and that's the only other thing you need - granulated sugar!  If you want different coloured candy floss then just add a couple of drops of food colouring to the sugar.

Reviews for this are excellent and so is the price at £13.49, reduced from £24.99; you can collect in-store or have it delivered, in which case standard delivery charges are £5.99 (off to find a toothbrush and toothpaste deal to redeem myself for this one!)

Thanks lwxmb19 over at HUKD!

I used to make candy floss in a summer job. It's harder than it looks - getting it to stay on that stick!
