Ooooh I do love a good book sale and the Summer sale at The Book People doesn't disappoint! There are lots of character books to choose from along with lots of other children's favourites. Prices start from just £1.50.
A couple of my favourite items in the sale are the Mr. Men and Little Miss All New Story Collection* and the Thomas Story Time Collection*. Both include 35 books for the bargain price of just £15 each, that's only 43p per book! They would make lovely gifts for someone or could be great as an alternative to party bag's at children's parties. You could give each child a book with a cake or a few sweeties and hopefully have some left over to keep as well :-)
Another bargain item is the Mike the Knight Story Collection* which is now down to £3 for 10 books. A great idea for rainy days during the Summer holidays is this My First Baking Book* which is now just £2. Great ideas for baking with the little ones, my daughter loves going through this book and planning our next bake, so easy to make too!
