Bakugan Battle Pack £9.98 @ Amazon

10 September 2010

Bakugan battle pack This deal couldn't come at a better time. At the start of each school year I begin to look for stuff to replenish my presents drawer. Yesterday I stalked the aisles of a Sainsbury's Superstore cherry picking the best of their 75% off deals. This Bakugan Battle Pack is available for half price at £9.98 at Amazon, down from £19.99. This puts it firmly within the £10 limit I have for really good and best friends!

Actually I've no idea what Bakugan is. My son is still more Peppa Pig and Ben 10. But it seems to go down particularly well with older boys - I bought some last year for the 10th birthday of my friend's son. Bakugan is a game based upon the TV anime series about creatures called Bakugan and the battle brawlers who have control over them.

According to the blurb on the website the point of the game is to "answer the call to brawl and decide the fate of the galaxy." The set can be used as a standalone for two players to compete, or added to another set for a mega-boost. It contains small spheres that "magnetically morph into powerful Bakugan warriors when they roll onto the real metal gate cards."

The idea, according to the game's description is to use strategy to place your cards effectively as each card affects the battle differently. Then master your Bakugan battle pack 1precision shooting skills to roll your Bakugan into battle and win. Included in the box are:

  • 6 x Bakugan brawlers
  • 6 x Metal gate cards
  • 6 x Ability cards

Amazon doesn't have this at a special price anymore, didn't know it was a special price at the time or would have bought when I put it in my wish list! Argos want about £12.99 for starter pack now. Pretty ridiculous
