I still DO NOT get the allure of anything ZhuZhu Pets! I've tried, I really have, but the point of them just escapes me: Tamsin, and her daughter, have tried in vain to explain them to me, but eventually they had to concede defeat.

Now, some of these deals aren't for the ZhuZhu Pets themselves, they are for the various 'environments' you can buy for them.  For example, the ZhuZhu Pets Grocery Store Checkout is £3.99, instead of £19.99.

You can pick up the ZhuZhu Babies: Newborn Nursery for £4.99 rather than £22.99.  Going up to the 20 something pounds bracket - you can bag yourself an assorted collection of eight ZhuZhu Pet Hamsters for £23.92 instead of a whopping £79.92.

The cheapest deal by far, though, is for the ZhuZhu Puppies: Hot Dog Cart for £1.99, instead of £9.99 - I'm not sure it's right to have puppies selling anything with the word 'dog' in its name, but still!

I do not get al the hype and 'they're amazing' that surrounds the Zhu Zhu Pets hamsters.  I've tried; Tamsin and her daughter think they're fabulous and have valiantly attempted to explain them to me, but I remain at a complete loss - different character, motorised, hamsters that zoom around plastic pens with different themes are awesome, HOW?!

Anyway, it doesn't matter what I think - if you are a Zhu Zhu Pets fan then you may want to take a quick look at this Zhu Zhu Pets Ice Cream Shop.

There isn't a great deal I can tell you about it: it's an ice cream shop for your Zhu Zhu hamsters!  It doesn't come with a Zhu Zhu hamster, it doesn't require any batteries, it's just a shop that 'sells' ice cream for your Zhu Zhu Pets to zoom into (SO weird and pointless!).

Oh - and, apparently, the shop's speciality ice cream flavour is Raspberry Zhu-Whirl (I despair, I really do).

Can you shorten Zhu-Zhu Hamsters to 'Zhu-Zhus'?  I really don't 'get' them at ALL! There are plenty of toys that I think are totally pointless but get why kids love them, but Zhu-Zhu Hamsters are a complete mystery to me.

Tamsin's daughter has some; they both think they're great and amazing, I see a motorised, oversized hamster that just scoots along, turns round and scoots along some more - I'm telling you, they're just WEIRD!  And, AND - they don't even look much like hamsters, they're more like Guinea Pigs!

Right, confession time - I don't GET anything about Zhu Zhu Hamsters!

Can someone please try and explain them to me, they just whirl around funny plastic houses on their wheels and that's about it, right?  Tamsin's daughter has a fair few Zhu Zhu Hamster bits and pieces and they've both tried to tell me why they're so cool but I'm still lost.

What is so funny and cool about robot rodents that have absolutely no purpose in life?  There's no end goal like there is when you play a game and I've really tried to see how you could make up role play games with your freaky hamster friends, but I still don't get it.
