My youngest is a big Peppa fan and in the pre-boxset days it took a good while to explain that he'd have to wait for the times when she was on the TV and that he wouldn't be able to watch his favourite episode again, unless it was the one which happened to be on.

Peppa is such an endearing character but I have to confess that George is my favourite and Daddy Pig's voice is so smooth it's like warm melted dark chocolate.  I'm also very glad to say that my youngest's favourite episode of all time 'Muddy Puddles' is the very first one on disc one - he's a very happy four year old.

Mention Dr Who to me and I think of two things - 1) being at my nan's on a Saturday afternoon, lying on the floor in front of the TV and watching the latest episode with my cousins and 2) the immediate discussion that ensues at PlayPennies HQ as to who is the best AND the best-looking Dr Who (David Tennant is still winning).

I'd seen lots of Ben 10 stuff in the shops and being mentioned a lot over at HUKD but I never really paid much attention to what he was all about, until I did some research before I wrote a Ben 10 deal a couple of weeks ago.

Now I'm fully clued-up in all matters Ben 10, his battles against aliens and have discovered he has a large army of grown-up fans as well as those from his target audience!  Who'd have known...

I must admit that I’ve been thinking about getting something like this for a while now. It was that advert for the cat food where the woman is grilling chicken with such ease on one of these whereas I have to wrestle with foil and all other such horrors.

These classic films are a home-cinema collection must-have. While the last instalment should be ignored and avoided (and possibly we should have our brains washed out so we forget it completely) the first three films are a treasure. I remember crawling into my parent’s bed because I was too scared to sleep after watching the Temple of Doom as a child. I loved, loved, loved the movies but my child’s imagination had problems with the skulls falling from the walls. Needless to say, these classics and the genius interpretation that Harrison Ford put into Indiana Jones are priceless.

Bluray - it's the way foward and I keep forgetting that my laptop is Bluray compatible *sigh*

Bluray discs are usually more than a few quid more expensive than standard DVDs, and Disney DVDs of all flavours are massively overpriced (in my opinon) so imagine my delight when I read this deal this morning.

Here's the skinny: buy ONE Bluray Disney DVD (£17.85) and choose another one for FREE!  Yep, that's right - TWO Disney Bluray DVDs for £17.85; they're usually priced at way up in the high twenty pounds bracket so this is a brilliant deal, in my humble opinion!

There is only one problem...well two actually, one is if you don't have a Bluray compatible DVD player but if you do, then choosing just two could be tricky although I'm sure Zavvi won't mind if you buy four...or six...or eight...

On my list would be the two classics - Dumbo and Snow White and the Seven Dwarves.  Then I'd have to go for Monsters Inc and the three Pirates of the Carribean movies followed up with both of the Toy Story adventures.  That's at least eight for me then...ooops!

The Go Go Hamsters are rather adorable in their own right but running about on the carpet tends to make the batteries die pretty quickly, and fluff gets stuck in their wheels. This giant fun house is an ideal way to keep these pesky critters from spinning underneath the sofa or fridge too.

Just the opening few bars of the Harry Potter music is enough to make me want to watch these movies for the hundred-millionth time.
