Waybuloo Peeka Kids Laptop £8.99 @ Argos

Waybuloo Peeka Kids Laptop £8.99 @ Argos

Argos have a half price offer on a Waybuloo Peeka Kids Laptop, which they're selling for £8.99 instead of £17.99.

I walked into the living room recently to find my little girl in cat's pose – the yoga move. I asked her what she was doing and she said, “Waybuloo”, before moving into a different cross legged pose I didn't recognise. It turns out she'd watched an episode at her grandparent's house, and now she's totally into Waybuloo, and yoga.

This laptop won't teach your child any yoga, but in the two game modes – discover and quiz – the Piplings will teach colours and numbers.

If you press on one of the four character keys, you'll see Yojojo, Lau Lau, De Li and Nok Tok appear in the magic mirror and talk to you.

The laptop requires 3 x AA batteries, and is suitable for children two years and over, under direct supervision of an adult. The reviews on it are very positive, with only one person feeling it didn't provide much entertainment for a child over two.

Waybuloo Chunky 8-Piece Wooden Puzzle £1.99 @ Amazon

by Sarah Macdonald in Deals on 14 April, 2011 at 12:00 pm

Waybuloo Chunky 8-Piece Wooden Puzzle £1.99 @ AmazonAmazon are selling this rather cute Waybuloo Chunky 8-Piece Wooden Puzzle for £1.99 instead of £9.99

I adore puzzles, I used to do them all the time as a kid; if I had the time I'd sit down and lose myself in a good 1000 piece one now - but I don't, so I can't.

Instead I do puzzles with my youngest, ok so they're not very taxing on the adult brain but you know...the satisfaction of putting in that final piece is still the same.

Puzzles are fantastic for developing all sorts of skills such as: pattern recognition, patience, order and logic along with the fine motor skills required to piece them everything together.

This Waybuloo puzzle is wooden (I have a real weakness for wooden toys) and is made up of eight chunky pieces, making it ideal for little hands to get to grips with.

It would make a lovely little 'just because' pressie or even buy a couple to keep in the emergency present draw - it's always handy to have something stashed away for those birthdays that COMPLETELY slipped your mind!

All the usual free delivery malarky applies, all you have to do is wait for it to arrive in a few days.

Happy puzzling!

Waybuloo Wellies £2 @ Asda

by Luschka van Onselen in Deals on 7 April, 2011 at 6:00 pm

Waybuloo Wellies £2 @ Asda

Waybuloo Wellies are just £2 at Asda, down from £7.

Okay, so, I'm totally not sure about Waybuloo. There is such a thing as just too much Zen, and these happy, floaty, levitating creatures feel like they should almost be just wrong – yet they're disarmingly cute.

Kind of like these wellies.

There's painfully little information on them on the website, except that they come in pink, and in infant sizes. They have a rigid sole and the lining and sock areas are textile. Which isn't a lot of information, really.

At £2, however, it's almost a risk worth taking, I think!

Delivery is £2.95 and I really have an issue with paying more for delivery than for the actual item, so would go to a store and pick them up there.

There's not much more I can tell you. They're cute, they're cheap, and with any luck, they'll be a good purchase.

Waybuloo Toy Box £9.99 @ Amazon

by Luschka van Onselen in Deals on 4 January, 2011 at 6:00 pm

Waybuloo Toy Box £9.99 @ Amazon

Tidy up with the Waybuloo Toy Box, £9.99 from Amazon, down 71% from £34.99.

I don't know if it's just in our house, or if it's because my daughter is 15 months old, but there are always toys strewn pretty much everywhere. I can tidy up, turn my back to tidy something else, and when I turn back, the blocks are strewn across the ground, the felt figures and pipe cleaners are turned upside down, and the doll and pram are face down.

My little girl is pretty good at tidying up too – until she gets bored. I'll tell her to tidy up please, and she'll pick up a few things, pop them in the cupboard, then close the door, as if to say 'okay, all done.' While I'm left thinking, “um, not so much!”

So, really, I'm not so sure this would solve our problem, but at least it's cute, and she'll like unpacking it, and it's easy enough for me to repack night after night till she's old enough to do it herself.

The compartments are fabric, but the sides are wooden and are beautifully decorated with fun-loving Waybuloo characters.

Waybuloo Fleece Blanket £3.50 @ Amazon

by Sarah Macdonald in Deals on 28 December, 2010 at 8:00 am

Waybuloo Fleece Blanket £3.50 @ AmazonAmazon are currently selling this lovely Waybuloo Fleece Blanket for £3.50 instead of £9.99

If you’ve never come across Waybuloo then firstly, where you have you BEEN? And secondly, let me explain.

There are four main characters – Piplings – called Nok Tok, DeLi, Lau Lau and Yo Jo Jo.  They are kind and gentle creatures who represent various emotions that children can identify with.

Nok Tok represents wisdom, De Li represents love, Lau Lau imagination and and Yo Jo Jo represents fun and happiness. They live in a land called Nara and children come to visit and go on journeys of discovery and learn how to work together.

When all four of the Piplings are happy this is ‘Waybuloo’ and they all float up to the sky.

I know it sounds a bit bonkers but if you see it, I can pretty much guarantee that you’ll fall in love with the gentleness of it.

So, if you have a Waybuloo fan then all of that, combined with the deliciousness that is being wrapped up in a cosy fleece blanket, means you shouldn't hang around if Amazon have left the price at £3.50 long enough for you to snap one up.

All the usual Amazon delivery blurb applies.

Waybuloo Triscooter £12.48 @ Tesco Direct

by Sarah Macdonald in Deals on 8 August, 2010 at 9:00 am

Waybuloo Triscooter £12.48 @ Tesco DirectMy sister-in-law and little neice came to stay for a couple of days this week and she had this little Waybuloo triscooter!

She's an avid Waybuloo fan and also brought her litle DeeLi toy with her (I had a lot of fun making her say all the little catch phrases - the DeeLi toy, not my neice!) and it was lovely to see her scooting along on her little Waybuloo scooter, it was just too cute.

Tesco have reduced the price from £24.97 down to £12.48, which make it a great price, and perhaps something that can be bought now for *whispers* Christmas and stored away until December.

Or maybe you just want to buy your little Waybuloo fan something 'just because' or because they've done, or achieved something, special.

It has a sturdy tubular steel frame, a 20kg maximum weight capacity and is suitable for little ones aged three years or over.

Waybuloo Triscooter £12.48 @ Tesco DirectThe scooting platform is non-slip and shows all four Waybuloo characters (aka Piplings, for the unitiated!) and it also comes with stickers so your child can customise their scooter; along with two wobbling character 'things' on the handlebars, this is a Waybuloo dream.

Waybuloo Giant Floor Puzzle £2.49 @ Play.com

by Sarah Macdonald in Deals on 1 August, 2010 at 12:00 pm

Waybuloo Giant Floor Puzzle £2.49 @ Play.comI love Waybuloo. In fact, everyone in my house loves Waybuloo and I reckon my youngest would have to fight off the Teenagers to even stand a chance of getting his hands on these Waybuloo giant floor puzzles.

When Waybuloo first graced our TV screens there was much excitement. My youngest feel instantly in love with all the characters and their little catchphrases, he even gave everyone Waybuloo names.

He was YoJoJo, my daughter was LauLau,  my eldest son became NokTok and I was De-Li.  All VERY cute.

The most interesting thing for me is that he choose our Waybuloo alter egos well: YoJoJo represents happiness (he is one of the happiest people I know), LauLau represents imagination (my daughter has a very bright one of those), NokTok represents wisdom (my eldest can be very quiet and wise) and as for De-Li...she represents love.

Puzzles are great fun - they boost brain power and improve pattern recognition and fine motor skills and the sense of achievement when you finish them, regardless of how many pieces they have, is incredibly satisfying.

Waybuloo Giant Floor Puzzle £2.49 @ Play.comIf you've got a Waybuloo fan in your house then there are actually two giant floor puzzles to choose from - NokTok and De-Li - both have been reduced from £9.99 down to £2.49 and there is no delivery to pay when you order from Play.

Waybuloo Figure Packs £1.49 @ Play.com

by Lynley Oram in Deals on 22 July, 2010 at 8:00 pm

Waybuloo Figure Packs £1.49 @ Play.comJust when I thought pre-school TV couldn't get any weirder than the Night Garden, along came Waybuloo. Play.com is clearing the Figure Packs for two Waybuloo characters, Yo Jo Jo and Nok Tok. These were £5.99; they're now £1.49 with free delivery. There's also a De Li figure pack available for £2.49.

Waybuloo Figure Packs £1.49 @ Play.comHave you seen this show? Children are mesmerised by it, and actually I find it really quite hypnotic to watch too. The show is set in a magical land called Nara. The really weird bit is that this is a real world, although nothing seems to move in an outsidey kind of way,  like it does in TeleTubbies. So not quite like a photograph but not quite like a 'real' real world either. If that makes sense!

The characters are animated in CGI, and are called Piplings. They have tiny little bodies, and huge gigantic eyes. They also kind of resemble animals, but then again they kind of don't! Each one also represents an emotion. Yo Jo Jo Waybuloo Figure Packs £1.49 @ Play.comis a sort of monkey creature, and embodies happiness. Bear-like Nok Tok is wisdom, and De Li, who is a sort of kitten represents love. Now that's actually kinda sweet!

Each pack contains a Pipling and two accessories.

Fisher-Price Waybuloo Peek 'n' Pull Lau Lau £12.99 @ Amazon

by Sarah Macdonald in Deals on 7 February, 2010 at 3:00 pm

Fisher-Price Waybuloo Peek 'n' Pull Lau Lau £12.99 @ AmazonIf you've never seen Waybuloo then you're missing an absolute little gem of a programme.  It's cute, it's calm, it's gentle and my youngest LOVES it.

All three of my children have their own Waybuloo alter ego - assigned to them by the youngest who fell in love with everything about the programme from the day it aired on cBeebies.

My 15 year old boy is Nok Tok: practical and inventive, he’s happiest when he’s making things - this is very true.  My 14-year-old girl is Lau-Lau: creative and thrives when she’s dancing or painting - this is, again, very true.  And the 'baby'...well, he's Yojojo of course: full of fun, he’s mischievous and loves surprises, this is ALSO true - what insightful choices he made.

And that's part of what Waybuloo is all about; your child will be taken on a magical journey of emotional exploration and, with the help of Lau-Lau and Co, will learn about friendship, cooperation and relationships.

Fisher-Price Waybuloo Peek 'n' Pull Lau Lau £12.99 @ AmazonThis lovely Lau-Lau will play 'peeka' with you - she says her favourite Waybuloo phrases, sings her own melody and when you press her tummy her ears come over and cover her eyes.

She really is almost too cute to resist especially as she used to be £26.99 but is now less than half price and all yours, including delivery from Amazon, for £12.99!
