I think these are gorgeous, although admittedly still expensive, but then toy storage normally is!  These baskets are from Rice, and they come in the Zoo, Pink and City designs.

I’m notorious for no sooner getting to our destination than needing a drink. I’m also that person who wants to stop at the first motorway on our journey to buy some water or a coffee. And then the next one to go to the loo!

I was always one of those ‘dead against reins on a child’ pre-parenting people, and think I may even have used the words, ‘it’s a child, not a dog’ on one or two occasions. These skittles are just gorgeous, I think. They’re made from environmentally friendly rubber wood and each skittle is beautifully painted and decorated with ‘minibeasts’.

There a snail, spider, ladybug, beetle. Bee and some other critter I can’t quite make out – perhaps a butterfly – each with smiley faces and pretty flower decorations.

The six skittles come with three balls, and the whole lot can be packed and stored in the open wooden box it all comes in.

Skittles are 20cm tall, so they’re a lovely size for playing with and I’d imagine they could transform a rainy afternoon into a fun indoor tournament.  Lanka Kade Minibeast Skittles are not recommended for under three’s, although I can’t for the life of me imagine why.

I love this toy. I think it strikes a perfect balance between understated natural colours of wood and bold and bright red and blue, so that it’s not over stimulating, but not boring looking either.
