VTech First Steps Baby Walker £10 @ Amazon

There’s a pretty fantastic deal on VTech First Steps Baby Walkers right now, where they’re selling it for just £10, a massive 67% reduction in price. There’s a catch though – there’s no telling when the price will change. Apparently it’s been up to £25 and back to £10 again today, but while it is at this price, you’re saving £19.99.

The VTech First Steps Baby Walker seems to be one of the nicer walkers around. I was at an NCT sale recently where there were quite a few of these walkers on offer, and the mums selling them had good things to say about them.

We never used a walker so I honestly don’t know how useful they are in getting a little one walking, but their popularity seems to suggest that they are.

You can assemble the Vtech First Steps baby walker quite easily and it can be folded up to store away. The baby walker has textured wheels for better grip, an easy grip handle, and a durable design that ensures your baby gets excellent support as they take their first tentative steps.

And when they’re not walking, little ones can enjoy the various toys  on the front of the Vtech First Steps baby walker.

VTech First Steps Baby Walker £17.97 @ Amazon

The pink version of the VTech First Steps Baby Walker has 40% off at Amazon, selling for £17.97 instead of £29.99.

We never used a walker, so I honestly can’t say what it does or how it helps, but the 41 reviewers of this product on Amazon gave it a 4.7 out of 5 star review.

One of the commenters said of her under six month old, “this used to keep her entertained for hours, and every time she learnt to do anything new, me and my hubby were overcome with joy. The activity board has a range of activities, and teaches many skills. Theres the turning knobs, a phone rattle, which aged about 9 months my daughter treated like a proper phone and babble into it, theres also 2 play modes music and learning. It teaches the alphabet, numbers, colors and shapes. My daughter, at 16 months, still plays with the activity board….”

A toy that keeps a child occupied for many months is always a bonus, and this one has a detachable learning centre packed with musical, educational and interactive activities. It has an easy grip handle, textured wheels and requires 3x AA batteries.

VTech First Steps Baby Walker £21.59 @ Mothercare

by Lynley Oram in Deals on 4 September, 2011 at 12:00 pm

VTech First Steps Baby Walker £21.59 @ MothercareThis is a hugely popular baby walker. My niece had one, and it has also lasted through six other members of the family! At the moment it is reduced by 20% at Mothercare and ELC, down from £26.99 to £21.59. Delivery is free if you can collect instore. If you have Amazon Prime (so delivery is free), you can also pick this up at Amazon for the same price of £21.59.

Now this is a nice discount to get if you need to buy this walker right now. Last year Amazon dropped the price in one of its flash deals to around £13. The problem is there's no telling when they might do the same thing, and you'd have to keep a close eye out. Those sorts of Amazon deals can evaporate as quickly as they appear.

The VTech First Steps Baby Walker has a sturdy design to support and encourage baby's first steps. It has a detachable 'learning centre' with activities including shapes and light-up musical keys that introduce letters, words, numbers, animals, colours, sing-along songs and melodies, plus moving butterfly, discs and rollers develop manipulative skills.

There are ten nursery rhyme melodies featured, with five different music styles. The VTech First Steps Baby Walker also has a role-play phone, which contains beads to make it rattle.  The wheels are textured, and the easy-grip handle helps baby get lots of support. The VTech First Steps Baby Walker assembles very easily and can be stored away in small spaces. It does require 3 x AA batteries (not included).

It is very heartening that there are 175 five star reviews on Amazon, and 54 four star reviews. And there are none lower than four star!

VTech First Steps Baby Walker @ Amazon

VTech First Steps Baby Walker @ AmazonMy niece loved her VTech walker so much she virtually never went anywhere without it. A bit of a pain for my sister, especially when trying to separate the two so she could go to the supermarket. But as testimony to just how robust it is, after constant use by my niece, it went to three other junior family members. The walker might still be going now – I lost sight of the walker after it was donated, still mostly working, to a charity shop.

VTech First Steps Baby Walker @ AmazonYou can pick up a VTech First Steps baby walker in pink (pictured here) from Amazon for £14.97. And if you sign up to a free trial for Amazon Prime you’ll get free delivery too. If the walker looks a little familiar to regular readers, it is because it often features in Asda sales for £15. However, the advantage here is you won’t have to go to the shops to get one. Some assembly is required, and it also takes three AA batteries.
