Ladybird Baby Pool Plus Burt’s Bees Gift Set £5 @ Very.co.uk

by Luschka van Onselen in Deals on 8 April, 2012 at 8:00 am

Ladybird Baby Pool Plus Burt’s Bees Gift Set £5 @ Very.co.uk

Very.co.uk have a few sale items on offer at the moment, which is always a good thing, but then they also have a lovely free gift available with every order. One such combo is the Ladybird Baby Pool which they’ve reduced to half price and are selling at£5 with a £5 saving and then they’re throwing in a Burt’s Bees Gift Set for free. I can’t find a value for the gift set, which contains two sample sized (15ml) Burt’s Bees Moisturisers and a Lip Balm, but the lip balm itself is worth about £3.

The pool is really sweet and if water restrictions are a problem, then you can use it indoors or out for a ball pit. The pool has a ladybird print and is 42x42  inches in diameter. It also comes with a repair kit included.

The Burt’s Bees Gift Set can be added to any order, with no minimum value.  If you don’t want to give it away as a gift, it’s ideally sized for holiday travels.

Fireman Sam Colouring Table £7.50 @ Very

by Luschka van Onselen in Deals on 3 December, 2011 at 7:00 pm

Fireman Sam Colouring Table £7.50 @ Very

There’s this rather funky Fireman Sam Colouring Table on sale at Very for just £7.50 – half price.

I really think this is a pretty nifty idea, and it’s probably been around for ages, but it’s the first time I’ve seen it.

Basically it’s a table – which is apparently easy to assemble, as you simply push the four legs into the table top – with a 10m colouring roll which you feed through to have constantly changing pictures that don’t end up lying all over the house.

There are also six markers and six jumbo crayons with spaces specifically for them. They’re also all wrapped in Fireman Sam packaging, as are the legs and sides of the table. (There’s really no doubt that this is a Fireman Sam table!)

I’m not sure what happens when your 10m are finished though. You could probably get a blank roll of paper from your local art supplier though, but no guarantees.

There are a couple of reviews of this, and the recipients seem pretty happy with it and say they’d recommend it, so it seems like a pretty good idea!

Toy Story Bullseye £32 @ Very.co.uk

by Tamsin Oxford in Deals on 26 August, 2011 at 6:00 pm

Toy Story Bullseye £32 @ Very.co.uk

This last Christmas my daughter wanted Bullseye. I thought that he would be easy enough to get seeing as Woody and Jessie were the main characters from the show. I couldn’t have been more wrong. Bullseye was sold out everywhere and cunning souls on eBay and Amazon were selling him for over £100 when his retail price was only £45 or so.

Now Very have marked the deluxe Bullseye version down from their RRP of £40 to £32 which is a saving of £8 and includes free delivery. This toy is still vastly over priced in my view but it does have quite a few cute little extras that make him very lovable.

Bullseye has galloping and trotting sound effects along with realistic neighing sounds and whinnying. He also responds to voice stimuli so if children talk to him he will talk back. The horse needs three AA batteries and is ideal for kids over the age of four.

He also does not stand unsupported by the way – he needs that stand to, well, stand…

Freespirit Peppermint Patent Ballerina Shoes £3 @ Very eBay Outlet

by Tamsin Oxford in Deals on 6 January, 2011 at 6:00 pm

Freespirit Peppermint Patent Ballerina Shoes £3 @ Very eBay Outlet

These Freespirit Peppermint Patent Ballerina shoes are fabulous for both everyday wear and school. Down from their usual RRp of £12, they are now selling from the Very eBay clearance outlet for a mere £3. This is a saving of 75% off the original price but you will still have to pay the standard eBay postage of £2.95.

The Freespirit ballerina shoes are slip-on plimsoles with a pleat detail on the top, a round toe and a patent  finish. The t-bar across the front makes for a cute detail and extra hold. The finish says it is patent but not what the actual material is, there is no mention of leather in the product description so it is doubtful that they are made from it.

However, in spite of their not being made from as sturdy a fabric as leather, they are at a ridiculously low price and would definitely be handy for replacing old school shoes, or popping into their collection just in case.

Very Discount Code: Free Delivery

by Lynley Oram in Deals on 26 September, 2010 at 8:00 pm

Very Discount Code: Free DeliveryUse this Very discount code to get free delivery on your next order. Very describes itself as  "the new online department store". So this is a nice extra if you're after the sort of stuff they sell in deparemtn stores, like brand names, designer, and fashion items.

Click here to use the Very discount code for free delivery

  • Discount: free delivery
  • Minimum spend: £0.00
  • Promotion code: XV044
  • Expires: 17th October 2010

To use this code, you'll need to go most of the way through the checkout process. When you get to the Delivery Options section, look down the page and you'll see a section headed Promotions. Enter the code in the box and hit the Submit Code button. You'll now see, in the Promotions and Vouchers section, that the £3.95 delivery has been deducted.

There shouldn't be any minimum spend on this code, nor is it restricted to full price items. I tried it out on a sale item, and it worked just fine. Free delivery codes are my favourites as it means I feel justified in ordering just a single item. This has come in handy on many an occaision, as normally, when I buy online, I do a big order in one go. And it is always so annoying when you realise you've forgotten just that one single item!

Hot Wheels QuadBike £64.50 @ Very

by Sarah Macdonald in Deals on 12 February, 2010 at 11:00 am

Hot Wheels QuadBike £64.50 @ VeryI had to read this deal twice to make sure I'd not misread the price!  This might just have to be my deal of the day and it's only 11am!

There's no need to ask yourself whether or not your little speed-racer would love this quadbike - just look at the HUGE grin on the face of the little boy in the picture!  You can't fake grins like that and it pretty much tells you all you need to know from his point of view.

For the grown-up perspective, let me help you...

Hot Wheels QuadBike £64.50 @ VeryThis Hot Wheels quad bike has a 12v battery which means it will pull a top speed of about 5mph, this will feel like warp speed to your child and is fast enough for you to probably have to break into a bit of a jog now and then to keep up, but not fast enough for little Johnny (or Jane! Girls love driving too) to be disappearing over the horizon in a blaze of horsepower.

It has a foot pedal accelerator, an electronic brake and imitation wing mirrors (imitation so they can't see you chasing after them telling them to stop!) and has been reduced from £129. Seriously, what a bargain!
