The Moshi Monsters Moshling Treehouse is entirely made out of plastic and it comes with one secret, special Moshling to store away in the branches of the tree. You also get a working pulley, little platforms, stickers and a working door.

I reviewed the Moshling Treehouse back in December as it was pushed as one of the premier Christmas toys for 2011. I must confess that I didn’t rave about it then, and I still wouldn’t rave about it now. The base constantly falls off the bottom of the tree leaving it unbalanced and the platforms and door do the same.

I’d only buy this if you have a Moshi Mad little one who would faint with joy, otherwise look out for something a bit better.

Kids love to play at tables, or at least mine does. What I like about this one is that it has a top, so you can use it for eating and for playing with other toys like lego, dolls, or for creative arts like drawing. Then take the top off and they can play in the sand.

There aren't any reviews from customers on this website, but on others the reviews are mostly positive. As one says "Bought this for my daughter and she really enjoys it. If you're a parent, then you're probably familiar with the name Bandai. The company makes toys for most of the top kids shows. Well, most of the American ones anyway. And there definitely seems to be a bias towards action shows that appeal to boys.

There is little to no information about what Hello Kitty is doing in each puzzle so I guess that’s going to be a surprise. However, as a set at this low price, this would make a fantastic present for any child, especially as birthday season is now in full swing.

Both sets include the 2000 beads, and six bead board supports. Also ironing paper and instructions. There's a giraffe pegboard and a camel pegboard in one set, and a rhino pegboard, ostrich pegboard, and a monkey pegboard in the other. The recommended age is five years plus.

If you're not familiar with these, Hama beads are little round beads of plastic with a hole through the middle. You place the beads on the pegboard to make a shape, and then iron over the beads with a warm iron. This fuses them together, and the shape can be lifted whole off the board.

Kits like this can be a great way to get kids started. Be warned though, you can get huge tubs of Hama beads, and once they understand how it works, children can really get into making them. A nice way to help them exercise their imaginations, and spend some time doing arts and crafts. But you may need to create some display space in the house!
