The change of season is definitely brining the sale out in retailers and Toys R Us have a great range of summer outdoor toys on sale.

I’ve always loved the thought of having a garden big enough for an adventure paradise for my daughter and the rest of the kids in the neighbourhood. While it means I’m going to have to move to, well, the 80’s probably, I cling to the hope that we can have that some day.

There are toys for kids from 2 years to adult, including the Ben 10 Large Blaster Water Gun, half price at £12.49 and great for cooling down on hot days, I guess.  For a bit of a carnival feel, you could always try your hand at juggling with the Funtrix Juggling Set and DVD.

If you’re looking at spending a little bigger, there’s the Magna 14" Dirt Jumper Bike half price at £59.99 (and a bunch of other bikes too, so check them out) as well as this really cool 6V Mini Cooper S Pink Car also half price at £129.99.

The Disney Store is a great place to kill a few minutes from time to time, but I rarely walk out with anything, because really, you're usually paying for the label. I do love watching my daughter run around in the shop looking at and playing with everything though. A sale at the Disney Store is rather dangerous though – I suddenly feel like I can afford more!

Nevertheless, Disney Store has up to 50% off on a good range of toys and accessories, and may be worth a look if you're in the market for something anyway.

So, some of my favourites in the up to 50% off sale include the Toy Story 3 Electric Train Set which was £70.00 and is now £34.99 and includes a Western style locomotive, 3 carriages, Buzz and Woody figurines and a desert scene track mat.

Or what about this Nemo Inflatable Bath – incredibly useful on camping trips with a baby, by the way – and down from £17.00 to £8.49.
There are lovely fancy dress items on sale, which I just love for my daughter's dress up box. I adore the Alice in Wonderland Costume with Headband for £9.99 down from £20.00 or even the Mickey Mouse Plush Costume which was £25.00 and is now £12.49. Is it too early to prepare for Halloween?

Not everything in this sale is a steal, but there are a few items that could fill the remaining spots in your stockings and fill out your tree, so have a good look around.

There are 18 Zhu Zhu and Kung Zhu toys and accessories at half price, making some of the hamsters just £2.45, and a few of the accessories, such as the Vehicles Coupe Car just £4.95.

From Hasbro, the Strawberry Shortcake: Cafe Playset is now £17.45 and the Lemon Spa Playset is now £12.45, with more savings on Iron Man, In the Night Garden and StarWars (like the Star Wars Saga Legends Imperial AT-AT half price at £64.95)

Playmobil has 20% off most of their stock, and Lego has 25% off.

Chou Chou Mommy Make Me Better Doll has been reduced by more than 50% from £29.95 to £12.95

Debenhams are having a toy sale with massive bargains available. They are basically having a sale on their 50% off items, with some things now better than half price. A few items aren't quite 50% off, but good prices anyway. Free delivery is a further saving too.

When I said there was time to grab a few bargains, I really meant to focus on bargains. For example, the Ben 10 car is reduced from £149.00 to £60.00 – which is actually more than 50% off – and can be found on eBay for £75.00.

Zhu Zhu Pets Ninja hamster is £8.00 compared to £11.00 on Amazon. Some of the other Zhu Zhu Pets also have a pound or two off.

The 24-inch Peppa Pig doll is now £12.50 from £22.00, whereas it is £16.00 at Additions Direct.

There are 680 products in the Woolworths.co.uk toy sale, and although some are really well priced, there are a few that can be found cheaper elsewhere, so if you have the time and the inclination, it may be worth just doing a quick Google comparison before you buy.

Next day delivery costs £3.95, and for an additional £1.00 you can choose your delivery day and time slot.

I get marginally excited when I see 25% off things, very excited when I see the magic 50% off but a 75% off Toy Sale is just cause for celebration!

There will be something here for everyone with Dora the Explorer, Peppa Pig and Thomas the Tank Engine bits and pieces up for grabs.

Toys R Us have a BOGOF offer on Leapster Tag software, essentially making them half price.

We reviewed the fabby interactive Leapfrog Tag reading system here at PlayPennies HQ last month and pretty much loved it.

Toys R Us have a great range of 'books' for the Tag system, including: Disney Princesses, Dora the Explorer, Scooby Doo, Ben 10, Disney Cars, Disney Fairies, Toy Story 3, Spongebob Squarepants and the Disney Pixar Book.

HURRAH! The half price toy sale at Mothercare starts tomorrow!

This is a quick heads up for you about the Mothercare half price toy sale, so you can be first in the virtual queue.

There's nothing more frustrating than finding out about a half price toy sale just slightly too late, racing over to wherever it is and discovering that most of the things you want are already gone.

Mothercare is one of the surviving giants of the high street, if I need to buy baby clothes or toys then it's always one of the places I head for; it will be a sad SAD day if they were to ever disappear into recession oblivion.

I know we're only half way through October but there are only 73 days and a few hours to go before it's Christmas day.
