Toy Story Aqua Doodle £12.99 @ Toys R Us

The Tomy Toy Story Aqua Doodle mat is less than half price at Toys R Us. Usually £29.99, it’s now £12.99 giving you a lovely £17.00 off.

I really love the Aqua Doodle concept. It’s something we’ve seen in a number of different presentations now, and I think it’s a brilliant way of helping kids be creative, without too much mess and equipment – probably making it ideal for travel and holidays, or waiting in the doctor’s offices.

This Aqua Doodle features Woody and Buzz LIghtyear from Toy Story. Woody doubles up a s a pen and stamper and Buzz Lightyear’s wings can be “activated” – whatever that means – and he is also a roller, creating stars and planets as he flies along the mat.

You simply fill the characters with water and draw on the mat. The pictures will eventually fade, and you can start all over again.

It seems unfortunate that they don’t provide two pens though.

But even so, it looks like a great product at a good price.

Aquadoodle Mini Mats £3.57 @ Tesco

Aquadoodle Mini Mats £3.57 @ TescoTesco are selling various Aquadoodle Mini Mats for £3.57 instead instead of £4.47  - now I know it's only a small saving, but quite frankly these little Aquadoodle Mini Mats are worth their full price and weight in gold.

I loved painting as a kid but I’ll confess the words, “Can we do painting Mummy?!” from my kids, when they were really little, used to make my heart sink.

If your kids are older you’ll understand exactly where I’m coming from – we all know painting is fun but before a certain age it’s a real palava: cover EVERYTHING with newspaper – even the walls, unless you’re fearless in the face of poster paints! – get everything set  up, painting shirts on, braced and ready AND…all for a few splats of paint on the paper before your little Rembrandt has had enough and wants to do something else!

The big ones are fabulous but they ARE big, not very portable for when you need a distraction whilst out and about.  This is where these Aquadoodle Mini Mats come in to their own – they are small enough to just pack away in little bag ready to be whipped out at a moments notice.

To unleash your little artist’s potential all you need is some water in the pen and….that’s it!  The water reveals the colour and fades as it dries so you get to do it all over again!

Tesco currently have Aquadoodle Mini Mats on offer, featuring:

Each Aquadoodle Mini Mats set comes with four  little aquamats and one pen; they're suitable for little kiddies aged 18 months or over.

Standard delivery will apply so to keep costs down at bargain levels I’d arrange to collect in-store for free.

Tomy Aquadoodle £11.95 @ Amazon

Tomy Aquadoodle £11.95 @ AmazonOh joy! Oh rapture! This Tomy Aquadoodle mat  is one of those things likely to have me waxing lyrical for days. The fact that Amazon keep reducing its price has my bank account waxing lyrical too - it's £11.95 now instead of £19.99.

I loved painting as a kid but I’ll confess the words, “Can we do painting Mummy?!” from my kids, when they were really little, used to make my heart sink.

This Tomy Aquadoodle mat is the PERFECT solution, I wish they’d been around when the big kids were small!

No setting up, no mess, no clearing up – I mean, really, this is a busy parent’s DREAM activity!

A little bit of  water is all that’s required to let your child’s inner Jackson Pollock run riot – simply fill up the special pens with the wet stuff and DRAW! or use the special paintbrush and stamps to add different effects.

When the Tomy Aquadoodle mat dries out the pictures disappear and you’re left with a clean blank canvas on which to create another masterpiece; brilliant!
