Kodak Mini ZM1 Video Camera £24.99 @ eBay TJ Hughes Outlet

This is a really snazzy deal from the TJ Hughes eBay outlet. You get this awesome Kodak mini waterproof video camera for only £24.99. That’s a super price for a small and versatile device that will capture home memories with ease.

The Kodak  mini waterproof video camera is about the size of a credit card and is ultra light and portable, just perfect for slipping into your bag when going off on family jaunts. I am still amazed by how far technology has come that such a thin little thing can now shoot video!

The Kodak mini video camera is waterproof up to three meters and robust enough to handle most of the daily bumps and knocks caused by offspring. You can share your movies on Facebook or YouTube easily and the built-in software makes it really easy to edit and upload your home movies.

You also don’t need cables with the Kodak mini video camera as it uses USB to charge and upload, easy as pie.

Thomas The Tank Engine Toddler Bed £40 @ TJ Hughes

by Tamsin Oxford in Deals on 1 May, 2011 at 3:00 pm

Thomas The Tank Engine Toddler Bed £40 @ TJ Hughes

This is a cute little bed for any fans of Thomas the Tank Engine. TJ Hughes are selling the Thomas the Tank Engine bed for only £40 which is a saving of £139.99 off the original price of £179.99. That’s a whopping saving!

The Thomas the Tank Engine toddler bed has a steel frame with plastic headboard and is very easy to assemble. You don’t get the bedding or the mattress included in the price, though, so you’ll need to hunt down a bargain for those somewhere else.

Still, paying only £40 for a bed that usually costs £179.99 is something of a huge bargain. Although I am not sure why anyone would have paid the full original price for this simple design without any extras. That seems a little over priced.

The Thomas the Tank Engine toddler bed is 146x75cm in size with a 66cm headboard. It boasts a steel frame in a lovely blue with a rather cute Thomas the Tank Engine pattern printed on the board. A lovely bed for anyone looking to upgrade from a cot.

Mix & Match Buy 3 Get Cheap One Free @ TJ Hughes

Mix & Match Buy 3 Get Cheap One Free @ TJ Hughes

TJ Hughes are kind of going mad. They are offering three for one on absolutely everything in store and online. Yep, everything. There are some terms and conditions, obviously, but you can certainly get yourself some great bargains while the deal runs.

So, there is a rule that in terms of technology and bedroom products you can’t choose more than one of the same item. A bit of a bummer if you fancied getting three TVs and paying only £223 for each! Still, it’s hardly a chore when there are great deals to be had.

You’ll find discounts on names like Fisher-Price, Nokia, Paul Smith, Caterpillar and more. They have 40” HD TVs going for £299 and RAC Sat Nav for only £59.99. It is bargain central and you’re probably going to spend hours online, hunting for that perfect combination of three items.

I reckon you can leave with some awesome bits and pieces for your home, as well as a little treat for you.

TJ Hughes Online Discount Code: 20% Off

by Lynley Oram in Deals on 30 January, 2011 at 8:00 pm

TJ Hughes Online Discount Code: 20% OffUse this TJ Hughes online discount code to get 20% off your order. I tried it on sale items and it worked just fine.

Click here to use your 20% TJ Huges online discount code

  • Discount: 20%
  • Promotional code: TJSAVE20
  • Expires: 6th February 2011

To use this code, go to the Shopping Basket and enter it in the Promotional Code box. It will be automatically applied to your order.

TJ Hughes are an online department store with sections for the usual departments such as household appliances, home & garden and fashion. I tried the code out in their Toy department however. On two items that were already reduced. A Toy Story bubble cup, which was £3.99 and is now £1.99, and a V Tech Buzz Lightyear laptop, reduced from £34.99 to £25. There were only one or two of these items left though, so you'll want to move quickly if you're after anything still in the sale.

The discount code took a further £5.40 off the overall price, which is close to the delivery charge of £5.50. So all in, my order came to £27.09.

Play Tent: Dream Town Crystal Castle £29.99 @ TJ Hughes

Play Tent: Dream Town Crystal Castle £29.99 @ TJ Hughes

I read somewhere a while ago that 'princesses' are on their way out with children. Perhaps so, but certainly not with the little girls I know! And this Dream Town Crystal Castle tent from TJ Hughes will be a dream come true for them – and the £29.99 will be less of a parental nightmare than the RRP of £99.99.

The Crystal Castle comes complete with a Princess dress for role play and a 14 piece dinner service (for two people) banqueting set for make-believe feasts.

The 'castle' itself has turrets, grand entrance doors and rather glamorous fake drapes. It comes apart in two 'halves' for easier storage, and also to allow it to open up, should you wish it to. It is quite large at 112 x 93 x 92 cm (height, width, depth), so it's preferable to have it somewhere it can stay up for a while.

One of the mum-reviewers at Amazon – where the Crystal Castle is out of stock – says that she keeps it up during the day, but at night pops the two halves into each other in the storage position so that they can use their family room. It also then serves as 'storage' for the rest of the toys lying around.

According to the reviews, it's really simple to erect, and the material fits over the structure easily too, but if you're struggling, there is also an instruction sheet supplied.

Unfortunately you won't get this by Christmas now, but with the hours of holiday fun it will still provide, it may be worth the late arrival anyway!

75% Off Toy Sale @ TJ Hughes

by Sarah Macdonald in Deals on 11 December, 2010 at 8:00 am

75% Off Toy Sale @ TJ HughesTJ Hughes are having a MASSIVE toy sale with up to 75% off lots of items!

I get marginally excited when I see 25% off things, very excited when I see the magic 50% off but a 75% off Toy Sale is just cause for celebration!

There will be something here for everyone with Dora the Explorer, Peppa Pig and Thomas the Tank Engine bits and pieces up for grabs.

There are some AMAZING deals to be had on electric ride-on toys:

I have no idea whether this 75% off Toy Sale is happening in-store too, I really can't find anything that even gives us a clue.

I did, however, find this number  - 0845 605 1912 - which you can call to see if your local TJ Hughes is running the same price promotions as online.

There will be an extremely harassed, probably, member of TJ Hughes staff answering  calls on that number between 10am and 5pm today; be nice to them.

Delivery starts at £4.20 and the blurb on the site does make it clear that larger or heavier items will 'attract a higher charge' - they will tell you how much delivery is before you checkout though.

Happy bargain hunting!

Little Tikes Workbench £29.99 @ TJ Hughes

by Tamsin Oxford in Deals on 22 November, 2010 at 3:00 pm

Little Tikes Workbench £29.99 @ TJ Hughes

This Little Tikes workbench has a list price of £69.99, sells at Adventure Toys for £49.99, and is now on sale at TJ Hughes for an awesome £29.99. It is still quite expensive but that’s a fantastic saving for an incredibly cool Christmas present.

This two in one toy transforms from a workbench into an engine block and back again, depending on your child’s mood. You can then take the engine apart and put it back together again. The power drill will turn the gears and rev the engine, then, when you’re done, remove the engine block and start working in your workshop.

There is a removable chop saw, power tools with realistic sound effects and that actually turn when you activate them, and the power drill comes with six drill bits. There is also a storage tray, nails, screws, hooks and more.

This is a stunning Christmas present for any child who loves to make and build, and who enjoys the roaring and whirring of tools as they enjoy playing with them. Also, paying only £29.99 for the Little Tikes workbench seems like a great deal for all this cool stuff.

Raptor Electric Quad Bike £129.99 @ TJ Hughes

by Tamsin Oxford in Deals on 5 November, 2010 at 4:00 pm

Raptor Electric Quad Bike £129.99 @ TJ Hughes

The Raptor Electric Quad Bike is one for those very, very lucky children whose parents have room and money! Marked down from £299 to £129.99, there is a saving of a whopping £169.01 on this absolutely awesome toy from TJ Hughes.

The Raptor Electric Bike is a ride-on children’s toy that is ideal for kids aged three to eight. It comes with bespoke wheels, a sleek body and handlebars that have been designed for superb control. The battery is a powerful 12v and is rechargeable, along with a 30 watt motor and two different speeds.

Kids can zoom along at 3.5km/h or go to a maximum of 7.5km/h (wow, is quite fast) with a maximum reverse speed of 2.2 km/h. The throttle is a twist to go dude and the entire machine is apparently easy to assemble.

I swear, if I didn’t have such limited house space I would SO love to get this for my child. It is truly awesome. It’s the kind of Christmas present I’d love to have received as a child myself. Utterly awesome.

Playskool Glide 2 Ride Learning Bike @ TJ Hughes

by Lynley Oram in Deals on 5 May, 2010 at 11:00 am

Playskool Glide 2 Ride Learning Bike @ TJ HughesRemember how hard it was to get the hang of riding a bike? I watched my nephews pick it up just like that, by starting with pedal-less bikes when they were two years old. By the time they were four or five they were able to ride pedal bikes with ease, as they’d already mastered balancing. So I did the same for my son.

The only thing I didn’t figure on was his attachment to the bicycle! Now he’s far too big for the little pedal-less bike I bought him, but is reluctant to give it up. A model like the Glide 2 Ride Learning Bike would have been perfect, as I’d just be able to attach the pedals and away he’d go. The bicycle normally has an RRP of £149.99. TJ Hughes is selling it online for £49.99.

Playskool Glide 2 Ride Learning Bike @ TJ Hughes

The Playskool Glide 2 Ride Learning Bike comes in two colours – pink or blue. It also has a handbrake located on the handlebar. The recommended age for the bike is 3+, so about a year older than other types of ‘glide’ bikes. But hopefully it will last a little longer too, as you can attach the pedals as soon as the child is ready. Some parent assembly is required – you will need to attach the handlebars.
