Moon Dough Deals @ The Entertainer

by Tamsin Oxford in Deals on 12 April, 2012 at 4:00 pm

Moon Dough Deals @ The Entertainer

Moon dough is lots of fun and, as many parents have pointed out, not as messy as it sounds either. Usually it’s pretty expensive so you can only nab a small item here and there, however, The Entertainer has dropped a bunch of them down to £6 which is just ace.

There are tons of different moon dough sets in the deal so you can have quite a bit of fun choosing the ones that you want. Some of them include: Moon Dough Ocean Pals where you create undersea adventures, Moon Dough Hamburgers, Moon Dough Ice Cream, Moon Dough Breakfast Set.

You can also get the bigger sets for less as the huge ones that usually sell for around £23 are down to as little has £10. The Moon Dough Magic Zoo is £10 instead of £23, the Moon Dough Super Value Pack is £10 from £10, and the Moon Sand Sweet Delights Bake Shop is down to £10 from £23. Ok, that last one is a bit pants…

Hexbug Nano Case £5 @ The Entertainer

Hexbug Nano Case £5 @ The Entertainer

Fancy nabbing the Hexbug Nano case for only £5 instead of the usual £10? Well, The Entertainer has popped this item into the sale and it is now half the original price. You will have to pay delivery unless you arrange to collect the item instore.

The Hexbug Nano case includes one extra Hexbug and is designed to store up to 18 of these critters inside. There are compartments for each Hexbug so that they don’t slip and slide and break, and you can even use the case as a play area for your Hexbugs while you’re on the move by simply opening up the lid.

The Hexbug included in the case is one of the rare collectibles and it will definitely boost that growing collection of yours. You can also take a look at the range of Hexbugs on sale at The Entertainer as some of those are also on sale right now.

King Zhu Red Juggernaut Battle Walker £3 @ The Entertainer

by Tamsin Oxford in Deals on 5 April, 2012 at 6:00 pm

King Zhu Red Juggernaut Battle Walker £3 @ The Entertainer

Every once in a while a deal comes along that makes me stare at the screen in disbelief, and this is one of them. The King Zhu Red Juggernaut Battle Walker (wow, what a mouthful) is usually on sale for £20 but The Entertainer has it on sale for £3. What a huge saving!

The cost of this lovely Zhu Zhu toy is fantastic but, if you don’t arrange to have it delivered instore, you will have to pay for P&P. Still, a £17 saving is so good I almost want to buy this even if we don’t have anyone who will use it!!

The King Zhu hamsters with their own personal Juggernauts will tower above their enemies and can use their firepower and stomping ability to send their rivals running for cover. The juggernaut has missile weapons and gatling guns and the huge feet can squish opponents with ease. You will need a King Zhu hamster to make the Juggernaut work, but you won’t need any extra batteries once he’s in the cockpit.

Grafix Kids DIY Plantation Set £5 @ The Entertainer

by Tamsin Oxford in Deals on 14 March, 2012 at 3:00 pm

Grafix Kids DIY Plantation Set £5 @ The Entertainer

This is a really cute deal just in time for spring. It’s a DIY plantation set that has been reduced from £10 to £5 at The Entertainer and you can either have it home delivered or collect instore.

The Grafix Kids Plantation Set encourages those little green fingers as they learn to grow cool veg with the included seeds and equipment. You can plant pumpkin, cucumber, carrot and parsley seeds and watch them grow!

You keep the plants watered with the pipette and see how much they have grown using the measuring card. The set includes a little greenhouse, two growing trays, four types of seeds, a measuring card, a water pipette and instructions.

It is suitable for kids over the age of three and looks really cool. I love it and I’ve placed an order for two already as I reckon one of these has to go into the Present Cupboard…

Lalaloopsy Large Dolls £17.81 @ The Entertainer

Fancy nabbing some cute and large Lalaloopsy dolls for your collection? Well, The Entertainer has marked them down from £25 to only £18.75 and, with the discount code below, you can take off an extra pound and a bit. A great deal for fans of the Lalaloopsy range.

There are a number of different Lalaloopsy dolls in this discounted sale so if you have the one pictured here already, then you may be able to find one you don’t have by searching around the store for a bit.

If you want to take of some extra pennies, enter the code MVCF5B at checkout which takes off about 5% I think.

The Lalaloopsy dolls comewith their own weird little pet and strange outfits and bendy arms and legs. They are made from plastic and fabric and are 33cm in size. I love their outfits, they are so cute, but I am not sure about the toys themselves. Still, a great price for Lalaloopsy fans.

Mega Bloks Mini 90 Piece Value Bag £6 @ The Entertainer/The Toyshop

by Luschka van Onselen in Deals on 29 January, 2012 at 7:00 pm

Mega Bloks Mini 90 Piece Value Bag £6 @ The Entertainer/The Toyshop

One of the myriad of offers currently available at The Entertainer is a Value Bag of Mega Bloks Mini with 90 pieces for £6 instead of £20.

I really need to go into a toy shop one of these fine days – if I can pull myself away from the computer long enough – and line up Mega Bloks, Mega Bloks Mini, Duplo and…. the other style that’s available out there, and make a comparative list of the difference between them, because honestly, I have no idea.

We have Mega Bloks, which are fun, if a little less ‘durable’ than Duplo, which are fantastic, but more expensive. What on earth Mega Bloks Mini are, and where they fit in on the spectrum of blocks, I can’t tell you. Whether they are interchangeable or compatible, I can’t tell you either.  A real help, me. I know. (But feel free to leave a comment and let the rest of us know if you have experience with these things!)

What I can tell you is that the Bloks come in a variety of sizes, shapes and bright colours and that they can be kept in the resealable bag.

Tinga Tinga Tales 25cm With Sound Plush Elephant £3 @ The Entertainer

by Lynley Oram in Deals on 29 January, 2012 at 11:00 am

Tinga Tinga Tales 25cm With Sound Plush Elephant £3 @ The EntertainerThis Tinga Tinga Tales 25cm with sound plus Elephant toy has been hugely reduced from £15 to £3 at The Entertainer. Delivery is free if you can collect instore, otherwise home delivery is £3.95 unless you spend over £30, then it is free.

Squeezing the elephant's tummy makes it play the theme music from the TV show. Also available for £3 are the Tinga Tinga Hippo and the Tinga Tinga Lion. Unfortunately the Tinga Tinga Monkey has sold out, otherwise you'd be able to get the full set for less the cost of a single one at full price.

In case you aren't aware of it, Tinga Tinga is a children's TV show and one that I personally absolutely love watching as much as my son does. The stories are sweet, and of course totally silly. They focus around why a giraffe's neck is so long, or why a crocodile has such rough skin. Naturally there's nothing about evolution in there but that's not what the stories are really about. They're about human nature and all its foibles. They're fables at their entertaining best.

In The Night Garden Jigsaw Puzzle £3.50 @ The Entertainer

by Luschka van Onselen in Deals on 29 January, 2012 at 8:00 am

In The Night Garden Jigsaw Puzzle £3.50 @ The Entertainer

There’s 50% off  this In The Night Garden Jigsaw Puzzle at The Entertainer – or The Toyshop.com – at the moment. It’s selling for £3.50 instead of £7 and can be collected for free.

If you have an In The Night Garden fan in your house, you might like this puzzle, especially at this price.

Featuring Igglepiggle, Upsy Daisy and a glimpse of Makka Pakka lounging together in one of their homes, your 3+ child should have a bit of fun with this 25 piece puzzle.

Apparently building jigsaws builds confidence and logical thinking, as well as giving a sense of achievement, so this could be a winner all round. The pieces are thick with rounded edges to make it easier for little hands to hold, while developing hand-eye co-ordination.

It doesn’t say how big the completed image is, unfortunately.

Cosy Cottage My 1st Kitchen £5 @ The Entertainer

by Luschka van Onselen in Deals on 4 January, 2012 at 7:00 pm

Cosy Cottage My 1st Kitchen £5 @ The Entertainer

The Cosy Cottage My 1st Kitchen is £5 at The Entertainer – a £15 saving off the RRP of £20.  Home delivery is available and costs £3.95 or you can click and collect in three days for free.

This is quite a small play kitchen standing only 60cm tall, but it’s certainly not too small for imaginative play. It has a sink, a toaster and an opening over door.

It also comes with 14 accessories:  two plates, two cups, salt and pepper shakers, two knives, two forks, two spoons, a spatula and a frying pan.

There’s a kitchen clock ‘built-in’ to the top of the stove and permanent cupcakes baking in the oven.  – fully iced and all!

There are two reviews of this on the site and they’re thrilled with it – especially at the price. Apparently the two year old recipient of this at Christmas absolutely loved it too.

Really, at that price there’s no much that can go wrong!

Massive Toy Clear Out @ The Entertainer

The madness has well and truly begun and the The Entertainer is storming ahead with a massive toy clear out.

There’s up to half price on arts and crafts, with items like the Blo Pens Magic Colour Change Set which was £20 and is now £10.

There massive sale, however, has some amazing prices too. The Tinga Tinga Tales toys for example are down from £15 each to just £3. Not too bad for 25cm plush toys with sounds.

There’s a Let’s Cook Electronic Whizz Pops which lets you make ice pops in any flavour, down from £12 to just £4.

If the winter’s getting too much for your little ones, a Peppa Pig Oink Sleeved Fleece reduced from £14 to £5 and the Cosy Cottage My 1st Kitchen reduced from £20 to £7.50. Altogether there are 271 price slashed items, so it’s well worth having a browse.

Delivery is free on orders over £30, or £3.95 for orders under £30, or you can collect in store for free.

Kids Mini Workbench £12.50 @ The Entertainer

by Tamsin Oxford in Deals on 24 November, 2011 at 4:00 pm

Kids Mini Workbench £12.50 @ The Entertainer

The Entertainer has had quite a few excellent sales recently. In fact I nabbed almost all my essential children’s Christmas gifts from there the other day. Today they have the mini workbench for kids marked down from £25 to £12.50.

This mini workbench lets kids play pretend and set to work with all the tools on this colourful child’s workbench. It has a large work area measuring 38cm by 24.5cm and the play workbench stands 60cm high. It comes with a vice and 25 elements including a screwdriver, a hammer, a spanner, a pair of pliers, nuts, bolts and cogs.

The mini workbench tools are designed to be light and safe to use and for small hands to enjoy. The entire set shouldn’t take up that much space in a toddler’s room and it is a great way to encourage role play. They recommend the set for kids over the age of two.

Cosy Cottage My 1st Kitchen £7.50 @ The Entertainer

by Lynley Oram in Deals on 12 November, 2011 at 6:00 pm

Cosy Cottage My 1st Kitchen £7.50 @ The EntertainerLooking for a bit of role play fun? This is a cute wee toy from The Entertainer, the Cosy Cottage My 1st Kitchen. It has been reduced from £20 to £7.50. My friend has bought this as a toy to keep at her house for her grand daughter. It looks fairly small, so she can keep it in a cupboard when the grandies aren't visiting.

Home delivery costs £3.95, but is free if you spend more than £30, so might be best value as part of a larger shop. It is free to click and arrange to collect in store.

The pretty pink roleplay set stands at 60cm tall and has a sink, toaster and opening oven door. It also comes with 14 accessories including:

  • 2 plates
  • 2 cups
  • Salt and pepper shakers
  • 2 knives
  • 2 forks
  • 2 spoons
  • Spatular
  • Frying pan

It is a shame this is pink as in my experience, boys tend to love playing with kitchen playsets as much as girls, if not more. At the one o'clock club we used to visit, it was always the boys in the kitchen play area fighting over the saucepans.

50% Off In Christmas Sale @ The Entertainer

So, this sale at The Entertainer says it is 50% off in their Christmas sale but quite a few of the items have been on there for a while now so it is a bit cheeky of them. However, that said, there are some ace Christmas bargains to be had here so it is well worth visiting the store.

If you fancy getting free delivery to store then there is no minimum spend and you can try and use the code VN5UK to possibly get another 5% taken off the basket total. This means you can really score a fantastic bargain if you’re prepared to spend some time poking through the site.

The FurReal Friends Cookie My Playful Pup is down to £49.99 and you can get a bunch of ace FurReal toys, all at low prices, on the site as well. There are lots of them and they are all on sale. I’ve nabbed a couple of these as gifts for other kids too! You have Hexbug raceways, Puffle cushions, FurReal friends, Hello Kitty – all the big guns are in here!

Take a look, grab some bargains, and Merry Christmas! I got presents for about six kids and my daughter for under £60. The FurReal lions and leopards are down from £29.99 to £8. Bargain!

Magic Hat 150 Tricks £5 @ The Entertainer

by Luschka van Onselen in Deals on 8 November, 2011 at 7:00 pm

Magic Hat 150 Tricks £5 @ The Entertainer

Coming up for that time of year, you can be sure we’ll be binging you masses of toy deals every day now, and they’ll all be great for one or another Christmas related thing. Like This Magic Hat 150 Tricks set from The Entertainer, reduced from £20 (apparently, but that seems really expensive!) to just £5.

See? Anything Christmas related.

Anyway, the Magic Hat 150 Tricks set contains “everything you need to be a real Magician”. I’m sure the real magicians are thrilled.

I can’t find a full list of contents, but apart from the obligatory top hat and wand, there’s also a sponge rabbit – no feeding required – dice, thimbles, and rings. There are four pom poms and a 1.2m ‘magic rope’. There’s also a deck of card, and it seems as if quite a few of the tricks will be card tricks.

Delivery is £3.95, but you can also click and collect from your nearest store. This set is suitable from 10 years and up and although it doesn’t say so in the description, it must come with a book of instructions too!

Aqua Beads Duo Compact Bead Modelling Craft Set £12.50 @ The Entertainer Ebay Outlet

Aqua Beads Duo Compact Bead Modelling Craft Set £12.50 @ The Entertainer Ebay OutletThe Entertainer, otherwise known as The Toyshop, currently has an Aqua Beads Duo Compact Bead Modelling Craft Set on offer at £12.50 instead of £25.

These look like a good bit of crafting fun, actually. If the ad for it is to be believed, you can create any designs you like, drop your chosen beads into place using the 'plopper', and then squirt some water on them and wah-la, you have a … whatever it was you designed.

The set comes with 1100 Aqua Beads modelling beads, and 2 star-shaped storage cases. You'll get a layout tray, a bead plopper and grabber, four template sheets, water sprayer and instructions.

So what are you going to make from these beads?

Place mats, perhaps, or jewellery. Or pictures. Anything young imaginations can imagine, really.

Mini Lalaloopsy 4 Pack Dolls £10 @ The Entertainer

by Tamsin Oxford in Deals on 13 October, 2011 at 3:00 pm

Mini Lalaloopsy 4 Pack Dolls £10 @ The Entertainer

This is a pretty good deal on the mini Lalaloopsy dolls. Usually this pack of four dolls costs in the region of £25 but now it is down to only £10 at The Entertainer and comes with a ton of ace extras. I like this deal so much; I’m going to nab it as a Christmas stocking filler!

The Mini Lalaloopsy doll set includes four of the dolls from the Lalaloopsy collection. This particular set is known as set 9, which means little to me as a newbie at collecting Lalaloopsy dolls but is probably a big deal for those of you whose kids have already got stuck in.

You will find Peanut Big Top, Crumbs Sugar Cookie, Tippy Thumbelina and Pillow Featherbed in this set and the dolls are suitable for children over the age of three. Also included in the pack are four mini pets, one for each Lalaloopsy doll I assume. If you fancy any other sets, The Entertainer has put quite a few Lalaloopsy mini packs in the sale.

Belling Foldaway Kitchen £29.99 @ The Entertainer

by Tamsin Oxford in Deals on 5 October, 2011 at 4:00 pm

Belling Foldaway Kitchen £29.99 @ The Entertainer

The Belling Foldaway Kitchen usually sells for around £59.99 but it has been marked down to half price at The Entertainer to a lovely £29.99. This is a great price on this kitchen as it’s a whopping big toy and offers hours of fun.

The Belling multi-functional kitchen unit features a sink, hob, hot plate and oven as well as fun sound effects and talking phrases to enhance the role play experience. It comes with a bunch of cool accessories to round it off nicely and is ideal for teaching kids imaginative and role playing skills.

You get a kettle, a toaster and over 20 accessories for the kitchen which, once assembled, can easily be folded away and tidied up for easy storage. This is a deal of pure genius in my view. We had to get rid of our little one because there was no space and this is a brilliant replacement.

National Geographic Kids Dominoes £5 @ The Entertainer

by Luschka van Onselen in Deals on 13 September, 2011 at 7:00 pm

National Geographic Kids Dominoes £5 @ The Entertainer

This fun and unusual kids dominoes set from National Geographic is on sale at The Entertainer for £5, 50% off its original price.

Rather than the dull and boring black dominoes with white dots, this set from National Geographicc features African animals. There are 28 large wooden dominoes all featuring colourful animals against equally colourful backgrounds.

In addition to dominoes, you can play colour or number matching games and teach younger children about some of the planet’s most exciting wildlife.

In addition to the instructions, this set also comes with an activitybook, and a carry case with a cord handle.  Although recommended for children over four years old, I’m sure younger kids would find a use for them too and as each domino measures around 10.5 cm x 5.3 cm, they’re hardly a choking hazard.

Delivery is free on orders over £30, but if this is all you want and you want it delivered, you’ll have to add £3.95 to the price.
