Toy Story Sing N' Yodel Jessie Doll £15 @ The Disney Store

by Lynley Oram in Deals on 26 February, 2012 at 9:00 am

Toy Story Sing N' Yodel Jessie Doll £15 @ The Disney StoreThis is the lowest price I could find for the Toy Story Sing n' Yodel Jessie Doll. The Disney Store has reduced it from £25 to £15. The best I could find elsewhere was £20. You still have to pay delivery of £4.95. It has been reported that the toy is available instore as well at this price, so if there's a Disney Store near you it might be well worth a phone call.

The other toys in the singing/talking range are still priced at £25 unfortunately. It looks like only Jessie is reduced at the moment. She's a great character. We first meet Jessie in Toy Story 2, when she's been locked up in storage for years. Then she joins Woody and the gang to become one of Andy's toys. She's known for her adventerous nature and her ability to yodel.

This doll looks, and sounds, just like feisty cowgirl Jessie from Toy Story. With a rag doll style body, detailed rubber head and removable hat, there's also a string on her back which makes her speak film phrases and yodel too!

Jessie speaks 21 phrases, and measures 45cm high and 17.5cm wide. The toy takes two AAA batteries, which are included. Jessie is suitable for children aged two to eight years old.

Roo Medium Soft Toy £6.99 @ The Disney Store

by Lynley Oram in Deals on 18 June, 2011 at 4:00 pm

Roo Medium Soft Toy £6.99 @ The Disney StoreThis is a scented Roo Medium Soft Toy, or alternatively a young version of the Roo character from Winnie The Poo. The Disney Store has reduced it to £6.99 from £18. On Amazon it is selling for £24.99.

I know that Disney takes liberties with the Winnie The Pooh stories, but it is hard to resist a baby Roo. Especially one that is designed to be soft, cuddly and fragranced. Roo has a fleecy fur, and a bean bag body.

I wish though that Disney called it something other than "Disney's Wonder Fragrance" as that actually puts me off a bit.I have smelt these toys before, although not the Roo one, and they are lovely. How sweet is he though, sat there like that with his thumbs up and his little floppy ears! Although Roo was never my favourite character in the books, he is like Winnie the Pooh, very cuddly.

The offer is available in store as well. The Roo medium soft toy measures 32cm high by 21cm high, approximately.

According to the Disney website, 25% of the retail selling price of this medium soft toy will be donated to Great Ormond Street Hospital Children's Charity.

Free £5 Disney Store Voucher: Vue Cinema Winnie The Pooh Movie

by Lynley Oram in Deals on 15 April, 2011 at 9:00 am

Free £5 Disney Store Voucher: Vue Cinema Winnie The Pooh MovieGet a FREE £5 Disney Store Voucher from Vue Cinemas when you watch Winnie the Pooh movie. The offer runs from today, 15th April 2011, until the 28th of April. Chances are, if you've a young child, you will be going to see this movie this half term anyway so you might as well get a fiver out of it. Or at least, £5 off a purchase of a Winnie the Pooh item instore. Could be a nice treat for little ones if they want to get something Winnie related after seeing the movie.

The voucher entitles you to receive up to £5 off a single purchase in a UK Disney Store. You can only use it for Winnie the Pooh purchases instore, and not online, and you need to present both the voucher and your qualifying ticket stub.

To get the voucher, present your 'customer copy' Vue cinema ticket for any Winnie the Pooh screening between Friday 14th April and Friday 29th April (inclusive) at any UK Vue cinema. The offer offer is subject to film, screening times and seat availability.

I haven't seen the movie yet but I have heard that it is really lovely, and a great movie to go watch with children of a wide variety of ages. Friends went to see it with a five year old and an 18 month old, and both were mostly glued to the screen.

Disney Store Promotional Code: 10% Off

by Lynley Oram in Deals on 18 March, 2011 at 8:00 pm

Disney Store Promotional Code: 10% OffUse this Disney Store promotional code to get 10 percent off your order. This code works on everything in the store including sale items, and there's no minimum spend. There's a £4.95 standard delivery charge.

Click here to use your 10% Disney Store promotional code

  • Discount: 10%
  • Promotional code: TRAVEL11
  • Expires: 31st March 2011

To use this code, go to the Shopping Basket page and enter it in the Special Offers and Discounts box. The discount will be applied automatically to your order. I tested it on Tron Sam Flynn Zero G Light Cycle, which had been reduced from £35 to £7.82. The code took a further 87p off the price, which isn't a lot but every bit counts. Even with the delivery charge taking the overall price to £12.77 , it still works out to a pretty good price for this toy.

I don't often buy things from the Disney store. It's hideously expensive for what you get. But sometimes you just can't avoid it. I really wish I had this code yesterday when I bought my son a pair of Lightening MacQueen pyjama's from there! It was a special treat for him - a pair of PJs that he actually really wanted for a change (normally he can't be bothered what he wears to bed). And which doubled as his outfit for school today, since they had a wear your PJs to school fundraiser for Red Nose Day. Unbelievably cute!

Disney Store: Up to 50% Off

Disney Store: Up to 50% Off

The Disney Store is a great place to kill a few minutes from time to time, but I rarely walk out with anything, because really, you're usually paying for the label. I do love watching my daughter run around in the shop looking at and playing with everything though. A sale at the Disney Store is rather dangerous though – I suddenly feel like I can afford more!

Nevertheless, Disney Store has up to 50% off on a good range of toys and accessories, and may be worth a look if you're in the market for something anyway.

So, some of my favourites in the up to 50% off sale include the Toy Story 3 Electric Train Set which was £70.00 and is now £34.99 and includes a Western style locomotive, 3 carriages, Buzz and Woody figurines and a desert scene track mat.

Or what about this Nemo Inflatable Bath – incredibly useful on camping trips with a baby, by the way – and down from £17.00 to £8.49.
There are lovely fancy dress items on sale, which I just love for my daughter's dress up box. I adore the Alice in Wonderland Costume with Headband for £9.99 down from £20.00 or even the Mickey Mouse Plush Costume which was £25.00 and is now £12.49. Is it too early to prepare for Halloween?

There's loads to choose from, and if you spend over £75.00 delivery will be free

Disney Mug & Beanie Toy £6 @ The Disney Store

Disney Mug & Beanie Toy £6 @ The Disney Store

While the Special Agent Oso and Lotso Bear toys remain stubbornly sold out in the run up to Christmas, you can still get some amazing goodies for your kids from the Disney store. This adorable set will make a stunning Christmas stocking filler for only £6.

The Mug and Beanie sets available at the Disney Store include the following kits: Eeyore, Marie, Grumpy, Minnie Mouse, Tigger and Winnie the Pooh.

They are utterly adorable and I think that the reduced price is far more realistic than the original £10. I must admit that I tend to avoid Disney products because they make me feel so “marketed” at, I don’t like feeling like a wallet with impulses.

Still, nabbing great deals that will make little ones giggle with glee is just fine. I would definitely consider getting one or two of these for nieces and nephews, or as nice little stocking fillers for my kids as they are cute and long lasting.

Special Agent Oso Toys

by Lynley Oram in Deals on 26 September, 2010 at 4:00 pm

Special Agent Oso Toys This offer has been getting a lot of attention. I have to admit I had no idea who Oso was, but apparantly finding a toy from his Disney Channel show is next to impossible and when you do, they're around £30. This is a chance to grab a soft toy now, and avoid the Christmas rush, and only pay £15. Plus delivery - which is £4.95 - if you can't make it to a Disney store.

According to Wikipedia, in case you didn't already know, Oso is "a special agent appearing as a colorful panda bear that helps children. He has a computerized assistant named "Paw Pilot" who tells Oso the 'three special Special Agent Oso Toys steps' he needs to accomplish for his current mission. When he accomplishes the tasks, he gets a reward called the "Digi-Medal"."

Special Agent OSO is a panda soft toy, with velour fur, bean bag tummy and jacket and watch details. The toy measures H30xW20cm approx.
