The Princess Hooks and Heart Photoboard set is the perfect way to display those all important accessories. The heart photoboard allows easy presentation of pictures of friends and family, drawings, and any other essential items a girl needs.

The princess hooks make a great addition to any little princesses’ castle with pink calligraphic handwriting of the word ‘princess’ on four of the hooks which are ideal for hanging clothing, hats and accessories such as jewellery. The maximum weight these chaps can take is 5kgs and they are not suitable for kids under the age of 36 months.

The picture really doesn’t help you visualise what they are selling here but it’s basically a kit to help keep a room tidy but with lots of pink added in.

The Zhu Zhu pets range confuses me. At first I loved them and wanted one – I probably wanted it more than my daughter did. Then I nabbed a few in a sale, paying something silly like £1 each, and now they sit, in their dusty habitat, covered in a layer of the same dust.

The batteries died at around the same time as interest in them did. They don’t DO anything and all the habitats are stupidly expensive. Now you have the Zhu Zhu babies range and this toy will apparently let your Zhu Zhu pets twirl the night away in front of an audience. If you have the babies and the hamsters, the price is right, otherwise run screaming.

One of the multitude of savings on at Tesco Direct at the moment is the Winnie the Pooh Crawling Mat which normally sells at £25.95, but has £13.45 slashed off to be just £12.50.

I’m quite intrigued by this Crawling Mat. I don’t think I’ve ever seen anything quite like it. We bought a large quilted mat for my daughter when she started moving around, but it didn’t have any toys or activities on it. This seems to basically be a large play mat, but for when baby moves about more.

It’s 75 x 142 cm, and doesn’t require any batteries. It is a wipe only surface for cleaning, so you can’t pop it in the washing machine and is made of material.

While the reviewers seem to like it, there are a few issues with it – like the fact that it slips about on wooden surfaces, or tiles, and doesn’t seem to give a crawler much traction on a carpeted floor. One reviewer even suggested using tape to stick it down – so it seems it would do well on a rubber mat, which at least provides additional padding.

I’d love to see one in action. I think it’s a really cute idea, if it works well.

The Baby Born Mummy pick me up doll has been reduced several times over the course of the sale. Originally it was selling for £40, then it dropped to £20 and now it is only £15. That’s a pretty good saving off the original price.

The Baby Born Mummy pick me up doll by Zapf Creation comes dressed in a cute pink shortie suit and has lovely golden hair that’s tied off to one side with a pretty pink clip. She asks to be cuddled and when you raise her arms she giggles.

The Baby Born Mummy pick me up doll also gives kisses and says, “Mama” along with other cute little baby babbling phrases. The batteries needed to power her along are included and she is ideal for kids over the age of three.

There are no other accessories included with the Baby Born so she seems quite expensive for the original £40, but for £15 she will make a great addition to the present cupboard. Personally I find her a bit creepy.

Sarah and I reviewed the Back Pack Stroller just ten days ago, so really everything you could possibly want to know about it, you can find in that review.

In short, however, the Back Pack weighs less than your average new born, and can be converted from forward facing pushchair to back pack in four really quick and easy steps.  It is a basic pushchair, and doesn’t really sing and dance, but it is very efficient. It doesn’t take up much space either, so you could quite easily live in the boot of your car or your hallway cupboard.

It has a five-point safety harness which isn’t very easy for a toddler to undo, which is a bonus, and a sun canopy for rain or shine. It doesn’t come with any accessories, (i.e. a rain cover), but does have a long handle, which is ideal if you’re tall-ish and normally have to hunch over a pushchair or umbrella stroller.

It’s another busy day at Brendam Docks and Cranky the Crane is needed to help with all the hard work in this Mega Bloks playset. He has to haul huge carts of coal to the waiting engines with his lifting hook and help Thomas and Percy.

A hand crank helps you to raise and lower his hoisting rope and a smaller crane lifts the coal from the loading area onto Cranky. This week I have mostly been making Whoopie! Unfortunately that sentence isn't quite as exciting as it sounds. Although it isn't un-exciting either. What I've been doing is making whoopie pies. Specifically Betty Crocker Whoopie Pies (£2.15 from Tesco Direct).

You have been able to buy ready made Whoopie Pies before, or so I'm told. I've never actually heard of them myself. This is a new addition to the Betty Crocker line, with a mix that you make yourself.

The selling point is that it is a fun activity for you to do as a family. Well, both my son and I love cooking, but our baking is done from scratch. It would take a bit to sell me on using cake mix. Here's how I got on.
