Hedstrom 2in1 Swing £25 @ Amazon

Amazon have a half off offer on the Hedstrom 2 in 1 Swing, selling for £25 instead of £49.99. This two in one swing should have a good lot of life in it as it converts from baby to toddler.

The highly versatile Hedstrom 2in1 swing easily converts from a toddler swing to a junior swing (baby to toddler, same difference, different child). It comes with a high back, chunky seat and a 5-point safety harness for extra comfort and safety.

The junior seat has adjustable ropes and the whole thing has a powder-coated steel extendable frame.  It is apparently also very easy to assemble.  It comes with ground pegs for extra stability, an allan key for assembly, and  a screw pack and instruction sheet to help you with construction.  Assembled size is H182cm W180cm x D154cm.

The age recommendations for this set is from 6 months to 10 years - although I don't know that it's guaranteed for that long .

Metal Swing and Glider Set £29.99 @ Toys R Us

Metal Swing and Glider Set £29.99 @ Toys R UsToys R Us are selling this Brecon metal swing and glider set for just £29.99 instead of £59.99 AND there's 20% off at Toys R Us this weekend too.

This marvellous garden playcentre includes two swings and a glider and comes with ground pegs for extra support.

My cousins had one of these years and YEARS ago when we were all small and WOW! did I love playing on it, and did at every given opportunity.

It's funny, the summer holidays seemed to consist of endless sunny days and went on forever.

I know the weather's been rubbish of late, but next week looks set to be much better so this is an ideal time to grab some outdoor play equipment.

This swing and glider set is bound to bring hours and hours of joy and outdoor happiness to all involved - you, as it'll get your kids out of the house and active in the garden and them as it's just TOO much fun having a swing in your back garden.

There's a 20% off event running this weekend at Toys R Us too, which will bring the price down to £24.01...or at least it should do.

Kids Active Swing Set £19.99 @ Argos

Kids Active Swing Set £19.99 @ Argos

Kids can get swinging with the Kids Active swing set from Argos for £19.99, a third off from £29.99.

Have I mentioned summer much today? Well, it may be because I spent most of my day basking in the glorious sunshine here in London. I don't want to jinx it, but if this is a prelude to summer, it's going to be a great one.

Which is a perfect opportunity to get the little ones out into the garden, assuming you have one. This swing set is suitable for children over 3 years and up to 45kg – but honestly, I know even my 18 month old would love it and one of the reviewers has a 12 year old who does too.

According to the 99 reviewers who gave it an average of 4.5 stars out of five, it is really easy to assemble, even on your own, and is very sturdy.

At (H)183, (W)198, (D)161cm, it needs a bit of space, but shouldn't take over the whole garden. The seat has a bit of grip to it so your child shouldn't slip off easily and overall, reviewers say their kids love it, and they would recommend it.

Single Swing & Glider Set £30 @ Tesco

Single Swing & Glider Set £30 @ TescoIn my real life I often feel I spend most of my life in and out of Tesco...and it's starting to feel the same here too but they've got such a lot of great deals just now!

Now, you'll need a fairly big garden for this as it's almost as huge as the 50% discount that Tesco have slapped on it bringing it down from £60 to £30!  It's a monstrous 3 metres wide which will be about as wide as the grins on little faces whilst they're playing on it.

I've agonised over the 'will whatever-the-garden-activity-of-the-moment-was take over the garden...?' and 'can I live with that...?' questions but I don't have a lawn that St Andrews would be proud of and, at the end of the day, these things are only temporary until the kids have grown out of them.

My cousins had something very similar to this many years ago in their garden and we all used to spend hours playing on it at every given opportunity - nothing short of torrential rain would keep us off it.

It comes in bits so you'll need to get your tools out when  you get home to put it together, think of it as a warm-up for all the pushing you're going to be doing once it's ready to be played on!

All the usual Tesco delivery blurb applies - collect it for free or pay for standard delivery.
