Kites From £1 @ B&Q

Kites From £1 @ B&Q

There are kites for sale at B&Q with 75% off. According to our HUKD members, there’s a plethora of issues with the click and collect, so you’re better off calling your local store to see if they have stock, then making a trip down there for it.

If hours spent on Blackheath common watching the kites flying didn’t fill me with memories of childhood, and have that there Mary Poppins song floating about my head, then nothing ever will, I’m sure. I don’t believe I’ve ever flown a kite myself, but it’s such an intriguing and somewhat hypnotic activity to watch.

The kites at B&Q are on sale from £1, with only one ‘expensive’ kite, the Airflex Acrobatic Kite on offer for £3.

The rest are fun looking Flame Acrobatic Mid Kite, a funky Lady Bug Diamond Kite or Bee Diamond Kite if that’s more your thing, and of course the totally make-'em-into-everything, Cars Diamond Kite, Toy Story Diamond Kite or Disney Princess Diamond Kite.

August Freebies @ Green People

August Freebies @ Green People

It’s holiday time and everyone seems to be getting in the spirit. Green People have a special valid for the whole month of August: Free delivery to any UK mainland address and any order gets three freebie sachets too.

You know by now that I love Green People, but I’m never a fan of shopping online when postage makes up a big chunk of my spend, so I’m really happy to find free delivery offers whenever I can.  For Green People, this month of free deliveries means you’ll save £3 on your order.

In addition, they’ll throw in three tester sachets too. These are for an SPF15 sun lotion, an intensive repair shampoo and conditioner – perfect if you’re on the beach or out in the garden (and the sun) a lot this summer.

If you’re not sure about Green People, we’ve reviewed plenty of their products for children here on PlayPennies, and I must say that despite other brands I’ve tried being perfectly fine, they still have what I consider to be the best nappy cream balm for babies, especially those with sensitive skins.
