I got a friend of mine to try this one out. They had their heart’s set on the red Maclaren Cath Kidston Quest stroller. Now two thoughts struck me simultaneously on hearing that. First, you now get Cath Kidston strollers? Good lord is there no end to this? I bought my mother in law Cath Kidston oven gloves, although that was more than a little bit tongue in cheek.

Mothercare Cheap Pushchairs Voucher Code: 10% off StrollersSecond, are they mad? Spending £190 on a stroller? I never spent more than £40. Although when I think about it, I did go through three of them, so I guess it was more like £120. And if their one, expensive purchase lasts as long as my three cheap ones, well I guess maybe they might have a point …

However, it does illustrate one point with this code. It will work on strollers that are already discounted. The Cath Kidston Quest had been reduced already from £210 to £190. So altogether they got £40 off.

Bruin Swift Stroller £49.99 @ ToysRUs

By Sarah Kensington in Deals on 26 July, 2010 at 10:00 am

Bruin Swift Stroller £49.99 @ ToysRUsToys R Us have got this nice little Bruin Swift Stroller on offer at half price!

Tavel system, sling or stroller?! There are so many ways to ferry your little one around it can be tricky to know which way to turn.

Each has their own merit but for me, it was the stroller that became king and got used and abused the most. They’re lightweight, small and can be easier to manouevre around town than their big Range Rover equivalent travel system cousins.

Toys R Us have reduced the price of this Bruin Swift Stroller from £99.99 down to £49.99.

Bruin Swift Stroller £49.99 @ ToysRUsIt comes with a hood that has an observation window in the top so you can see through to your baby (or toddler), shopping basket and rain cover and has a four reclining positions. It also has front wheels that swivel and can be locked, on rough terrain you’ll be glad of this feature.

It’s suitable for little ones from birth to about three years old 3 years (or 15kgs) and it’s folded dimensions are: 30 (l) x 28 (w) x 105 (h) cm

There are various delivery options but standard delivery takes up to four working days and will cost you £4.95.

Koochi Star Stroller £34.99 @ Argos

By Sarah Kensington in Deals on 20 June, 2010 at 12:00 pm

Koochi Star Stroller £34.99 @ ArgosHere’s a nice little deal for a neat little stroller

I was never a big fan of pushing any of my kids in pushchairs; I have NO idea why, but I just didn’t like it.  So I loathed every second of choosing which ones to have – in fact, my first one was a Mamas and Papas one that I inherited from my sister-in-law, then a stroller that was super-cheap from Argos.

With my youngest I had another Mamas and Papas 3-in1 thing that I bought from eBay for the princely sum of £50 (I almost felt guilty because that was nothing more than daylight robbery, but hey I won fair it fair and square!).

I just don’t get exited about Bugaboos or any of the other top-notch contraptions which cost almost half a grand! Mad.

This Koochi Star Stroller, currently on sale at Argos, is small, it’s lightweight, it will be easy to manouvere and has everything you need; here’s the full spec’:

  • Suitable from 6 months.
  • Max weight 15kg.
  • Compact umbrella fold with autolock.
  • 5 point safety harness.
  • Self locking clip.
  • Removable hood.
  • Raincover.
  • Shopping basket.
  • Lockable swivel front wheels.
  • Suspension on all 4 wheels.
  • Sponge clean only.
  • Handle height 102cm.
  • Folded size (L)118, (W)21, (D)25cm.
  • Steel chassis with straight back X frame.
  • Two hand fold.
  • Umbrella fold.
  • Weight 5kg.

For £34.99 (reduced from £49.99) it’s a proper bargain in my book, so I wouldn’t stroll over there too slowly if you’re in the market for one of these. Order online and decide if you want Argos to deliver your Koochi Star Stroller or if you’re going to go and collect it from your local store.

Happy Strolling (if you like that sort of thing)!

Chicco Multiway Stroller £84.99 @ BambinoDirect

By Sarah Kensington in Deals on 26 March, 2010 at 11:00 am

Chicco Multiway Stroller £84.99 @ BambinoDirectI love the word ’stroller’ – it just conjures up such a lovely mental image in my mind.

Warm summer evenings stolling along, your baby is fast asleep, the birds are beginning to quieten down and the air is warm and heavy with the sweet smell of cut grass; see, all of that from the word ’stroller’!

OK so that won’t work if you live in the middle of London but if you get out the countryside for a stroll and maybe dinner in a quaint little village pub on the weekend….?  I’m doing my best for you here, but whether you live in town or the country, strollers are just fab and this Chicco multiway one for £84.99 is a great price.

I quickly learned that whilst big chunky travel systems are great, strollers are far easier, lighter and more compact to deal with.

This one is suitable from birth and comes with all the things you want and need:

  • removable head padding
  • matching footmuff/apron
  • ergonomic non-slip handles
  • lockable large chunky swivel wheels
  • five point harness
  • four position recline

Delivery is free to the UK mainland (sorry Highlands and Islands and Northern Ireland people); happy strolling!
