Obaby Atlas Scribbles Pushchair (Black) £39.99 @ Kiddicare

by Sarah Macdonald in Deals on 30 January, 2012 at 11:00 am

Obaby Atlas Scribbles Pushchair (Black) £39.99 @ KiddicareI rather like the look of this black Obaby Atlas Scribbles pushchair - it's rather funky - and I also like that Kiddicare are selling it for £39.99 rather than the full retail price of £79.99.

Pushchairs, strollers and travel systems never really 'did it' for me but if I had to chose one today then I'd definitely consider this Obaby Atlas Scribbles pushchair - it's got all the features you need without all the useless bells and whistles you don't.

It has various reclining positions making the Obaby Atlas Scribbles pushchair suitable from birth; it comes with a raincover and a shopping basket; it has a five-point safety harness and an adjustable leg rest; it has lockable front wheels (very useful) and ergonomic foam handles.

It weighs just 7.7kg, is easy to fold and has great reviews from existing Obaby Atlas Scribbles pushchair owners...

"This buggy was real value for money! The wheels are swivel which is great for a cheaper buggy and its easy to open and close. Lies back fully for when asleep. Great little buggy."

"Bought this for the grandparents who child mind my 10 month baby as previous pram was bulky and heavy and liked it so much kept it - really light weight but very plush. Love it love it."

As your Obaby Atlas Scribbles pushchair is over £30, Kiddicare will deliver it to your home for free.

Half Price Pushchairs @ Argos

by Sarah Macdonald in Deals on 26 April, 2011 at 9:00 am

Half Price Pushchairs @ ArgosArgos have some rather lovely half price pushchairs up for grabs at the moment; prices start from £32.49.

I never enjoyed pushing my kids in their pushchairs, I don't know why, and as far as I'm concerned they're a necessary toddler 'evil'.

My mum, on the other hand, used to LOVE it and she could (still) happily muse over pushchairs and strollers even though she has absolutely no need for them anymore - most strange!

If you're like my mum then there are lots of half price pushchairs to choose from over at Argos and whatever your pushchair poison is, there's bound to be one that really 'does it' for you.

Despite my 'anti' pushchair tendencies you can't beat a lightweight stroller that has does everything you need, that you can just throw in the boot of the car and which didn't cost you the earth.

There's a stripey blue one for boys (or girls), a pink spotty one (definitely not for boys, there are some gender stereotypes that you just can't avoid) and a rather nice charcoal one with a bit of colour if you want to go for something more neutral.

Some are available for both home delivery, which will cost you £5.95, and in-store collection and others for collection only.

Graco Century Stroller Half Price @ Babies R Us

Graco Century Stroller Half Price @ Babies R Us

Toys R Us are selling this Graco Century Stroller for half price – £29.99 instead of £59.99.

Tavel system, sling or stroller?! There are so many ways to ferry your little one around it can be tricky to know which way to turn.

Each has their own merit but for me, it was the stroller that became king and got used and abused the most. They’re lightweight, small and can be easier to manouevre around town than their big Range Rover equivalent travel system cousins.

This Graco Century Stroller doesn’t do anything fancy and is suitable for littles ones six months or older as the seat has one position only.

It has a simple umbrella fold, dual suspension with front wheels that swivel and can be locked -  on rough terrain you’ll be glad of this feature – it also has a hood, a shopping basket, padded foam handles and that’s it.

The Graco Century Stroller doesn't do anything fancy, it doesn’t have a load of bells and whistles, you can't plug your MP3 into it (I came across a stroller that had that feature once) and it won't cook the dinner for you,  it’s just a good old-fashioned simple stroller – ideal for slinging in the boot of the car and leaving there ready for when you need it.

There are various delivery options – standard delivery takes up to four working days and will cost you £4.95, or you can arrange to click and collect.

Mamu Jump Pushchair £33.32 @ Argos

by Sarah Macdonald in Deals on 29 January, 2011 at 12:00 pm

Mamu Jump Pushchair £33.32 @ ArgosArgos are selling this Mamu 'Jump' Pushchair, in black and orange, for £33.32 instead of £49.99

I have to remind myself that just because I don’t get excited about prams, pushchairs and strollers doesn’t mean that the rest of you don’t. So instead of stolling past the usual suspects I decided to stop and take a look.

There are so many ways to ferry your little one around it can be tricky to know which way to turn, unless you're going to stay in and be a hermit until your little one can walk around on their own.

As far as I'm concerned, the stroller/pushchair is king; they’re lightweight, small and can be easier to manouevre around town than their big Range Rover equivalent travel system cousins.

This Mamu Jump Pushchair is suitable from birth as the seat has five different reclining positions, along with an adjustable leg rest.

It has lockable swivel wheels, comes with a shopping basket, a detachable hood (that has a window in the top so you can see what's going on underneath) and a raincover.

It has front wheel suspension, linked brakes on the back wheels and a five-point safety harness.

All in all it's a lovely little pushchair package, has the basics that you need without a bank balance busting price tag attached; hurrah.

Now, it's currently out of stock for home delivery and if you can't get one locally just now either - fear not, this price is valid until 29 July 2011, just keep checking back.

by Lynley Oram in Deals on 17 August, 2010 at 8:00 pm

Mothercare Cheap Pushchairs Voucher Code: 10% off Strollers

When shopping at Mothercare cheap pushchairs aren't easy to find! Or maybe it is just me that always seemed to be needing a new stroller (we went through three of them!) AFTER the sales were finished? With this voucher code you can get 10% off strollers right now.

Click here to get 10% off strollers at Mothercare

  • Discount: 10%
  • Minimum Spend: £0.00
  • Voucher Code: MSW
  • Applies To: This season's strollers
  • Expires: 22nd August 2010

Enter the code in the Promotional Code box on the last page of the checkout process. Delivery is free on orders over £50.

I got a friend of mine to try this one out. They had their heart's set on the red Maclaren Cath Kidston Quest stroller. Now two thoughts struck me simultaneously on hearing that. First, you now get Cath Kidston strollers? Good lord is there no end to this? I bought my mother in law Cath Kidston oven gloves, although that was more than a little bit tongue in cheek.

Mothercare Cheap Pushchairs Voucher Code: 10% off StrollersSecond, are they mad? Spending £190 on a stroller? I never spent more than £40. Although when I think about it, I did go through three of them, so I guess it was more like £120. And if their one, expensive purchase lasts as long as my three cheap ones, well I guess maybe they might have a point ...

However, it does illustrate one point with this code. It will work on strollers that are already discounted. The Cath Kidston Quest had been reduced already from £210 to £190. So altogether they got £40 off.

Koochi Star Stroller £34.99 @ Argos

by Sarah Macdonald in Deals on 20 June, 2010 at 12:00 pm

Koochi Star Stroller £34.99 @ ArgosHere's a nice little deal for a neat little stroller

I was never a big fan of pushing any of my kids in pushchairs; I have NO idea why, but I just didn't like it.  So I loathed every second of choosing which ones to have - in fact, my first one was a Mamas and Papas one that I inherited from my sister-in-law, then a stroller that was super-cheap from Argos.

With my youngest I had another Mamas and Papas 3-in1 thing that I bought from eBay for the princely sum of £50 (I almost felt guilty because that was nothing more than daylight robbery, but hey I won fair it fair and square!).

I just don't get exited about Bugaboos or any of the other top-notch contraptions which cost almost half a grand! Mad.

This Koochi Star Stroller, currently on sale at Argos, is small, it's lightweight, it will be easy to manouvere and has everything you need; here's the full spec':

  • Suitable from 6 months.
  • Max weight 15kg.
  • Compact umbrella fold with autolock.
  • 5 point safety harness.
  • Self locking clip.
  • Removable hood.
  • Raincover.
  • Shopping basket.
  • Lockable swivel front wheels.
  • Suspension on all 4 wheels.
  • Sponge clean only.
  • Handle height 102cm.
  • Folded size (L)118, (W)21, (D)25cm.
  • Steel chassis with straight back X frame.
  • Two hand fold.
  • Umbrella fold.
  • Weight 5kg.

For £34.99 (reduced from £49.99) it's a proper bargain in my book, so I wouldn't stroll over there too slowly if you're in the market for one of these. Order online and decide if you want Argos to deliver your Koochi Star Stroller or if you're going to go and collect it from your local store.

Happy Strolling (if you like that sort of thing)!

Chicco Multiway Stroller £84.99 @ BambinoDirect

by Sarah Macdonald in Deals on 26 March, 2010 at 11:00 am

Chicco Multiway Stroller £84.99 @ BambinoDirectI love the word 'stroller' - it just conjures up such a lovely mental image in my mind.

Warm summer evenings stolling along, your baby is fast asleep, the birds are beginning to quieten down and the air is warm and heavy with the sweet smell of cut grass; see, all of that from the word 'stroller'!

OK so that won't work if you live in the middle of London but if you get out the countryside for a stroll and maybe dinner in a quaint little village pub on the weekend....?  I'm doing my best for you here, but whether you live in town or the country, strollers are just fab and this Chicco multiway one for £84.99 is a great price.

I quickly learned that whilst big chunky travel systems are great, strollers are far easier, lighter and more compact to deal with.

This one is suitable from birth and comes with all the things you want and need:

  • removable head padding
  • matching footmuff/apron
  • ergonomic non-slip handles
  • lockable large chunky swivel wheels
  • five point harness
  • four position recline

Delivery is free to the UK mainland (sorry Highlands and Islands and Northern Ireland people); happy strolling!
