Its a little weird to see a craft jar at SportsDirect, but at £4 I'm not going to argue.

It might be getting slightly warm for such a thick jacket now, but barring any relapses in the weather, it'll be a nice headstart to next winter if you have a little girl between the age of one and five (the jacket comes in four size options).

The padded jacket has a cute look with a stitched Dora the Explorer badge to the chest and a 'Dora' print across the lower back.

This girls jacket has a snug all over padding, fleece lined hood and full front zip, perfect for keeping warm in the colder weather. It is 100% Polyester which could make it a little sweaty, but then, as a winter jacket, that's not likely.

A great advantage to this particular jacket is also the fact that it is machine washable, which is really useful when it comes to little children.

Lego trainers kick... something I can't say here. How cool are these though? Lego trainers from Sports Direct are £16.00 (and a few other styles that go up to £19.00), a 40% saving.

What is it with some products that we want everything that could possibly be related to the product. Lego has branched out in to games and shoes? What next! (Maybe all that happened a long time ago, but I didn't know about it!)

I know a few grown men who are going to really wish these were available in adult sizes too, but unfortunately they're in child sizes 9 – 13 only.

Some of the trainers have high padded ankles for additional support for growing feet, while others have the usual ankle cut. Some have laces, and some have touch and close fasteners (I have no idea what those are – they look like Velcro to me) and perforated air holes for better ventilation – always a good thing.

Specs are different for the different styles, so have a look at the description before purchasing.

My first kiss was a boy called Rudy. He had a skateboard and torn jeans and I thought he as incredibly cool – although possibly not a great skater, if his jeans were all ripped! But he was cute, even if that's just a faded memory!

So now I've recovered from that little wander down memory lane, I can tell you about the deal.

There are four styles of No Fear skateboards. They have 31 x 8 inch chinese maple decks, and an aluminium truck and base, with 608z bearings and 50 x 36mm PVC wheels. And yes, I'm going to pretend I have a clue what any of that meant!

Just as I was saying to someone that you didn't get school shoes for £5 in this country, not even at the cheapest end of the market, along came this to prove me wrong. Of course I hadn't taken into account sales. SportsDirect has reduced the Breaker Girls Buckle shoe from £9.99 to £5.99

I wasn't too sure at first, wondering what sort of child was going to find it fun to have to buckle up their shoes when all their friends are running off to play. However, the buckle is in fact on a velcro strap. Something your daughter and her teacher will thank you for.

The shoe also has a stitched flower with sequin detail to the toe, which looks kinda cute. Hopefully you'll be able to see it in the photo shown here. The shoe has, according to the website, "a thick moulded sole for support and durability". I really like the little flowers detailed on the soles too. That's a nice touch.

It is only available in black. And when I checked the website, the sizes available were childrens 13, then adult 1 and 2.
