Lollipop Lane Huggable Snuggable Fudge Bear £7.53 @ Amazon

Lollipop Lane Huggable Snuggable Fudge Bear £7.53 @ AmazonIf you have a soft spot for SUPER cute teddies then you'll definitely want to go and take a look at Huggable Snuggable Fudge Bear.

My youngest son's name is Edward and ever since he arrived we've called him Bear (as in Edward Bear aka Winnie the Pooh; NOT, I hasten to add, because of Bear Grylls, who's name is also Edward!).  Ever since then we've also been extra 'sensitive' to REALLY cute teddy bears and this Lollipop Lane Huggable Snuggable Fudge Bear could just be the cutest of them all to date!

Just LOOK at him, he's gorgeous beyond belief - in fact, you know, I'm seriously tempted to buy him just for me and he can sit somewhere nice in my bedroom - perhaps on the windowsill so he can look out the window at the horses in the field.

He's made from fleece and velour and has a little round, soft, fat tummy and his bottom and paws are filled with beans (I tell you, I'm falling more and more in love with him by the second here!) and his left foot paw has a name tag stitched to it that you can personalise with the name of whomever you're giving him to - it says 'I belong to...'

This most scrumptious of bears also comes in his own little presentation box and usually costs £22.99, if you're quick you'll be able to snaffle him away from Amazon for just £7.53; he's a lovely huggable snuggable deal of the day for me.

Happy hugging and snuggling

Club Penguin/Puffle 2-in-1 Soft Toy £5 @ Tesco

by Sarah Macdonald in Deals on 20 March, 2012 at 10:00 am

Club Penguin/Puffle 2-in-1 Soft Toy £5 @ TescoMaybe it's a Spring thing - Happy First Day of Spring, by the way! - but I've spotted a couple of deals these last few days where I wrote exactly the same one, almost exactly a year ago to the day!

This Club Penguin/Puffle 2-in-1 soft toy is one of those deals - I told you about him last year on 21 March; he was £5 then, reduced down from the usual £20, and he's £5 again now.

I'm still really none the wiser when it comes to anything Club Penguin - as your kids get older you'll find you lose touch with the latest younger childhood crazes - but I do know that the popularity of it is massive and Club Penguin toys tend to go out stock FAST, especially when they're on sale.

The Penguin ca transform into a Puffle which, I now know, is a good thing and something that kids absolutely love.  if you're umming and aaahhing about this Club Penguin/Puffle 2-in-1 soft toy then perhaps reading some comments from existing owners will help you out...

"Fantastic toy....my little boy loves it, as he is so into Club Penguin! Soft, lovely bright colours and a good size. He loves the fact that you can turn the penguin into a Puffle."

"My kids thoughtly enjoy this product they take it everywhere with them even on holiday, it's so good as you can turn it into a puffle when you have finished it being as a penguin."

"This was bought for my sons birthday and he says that it was his best present. It goes everywhere with him he just loves it to bits. Its so soft and cuddly and the fact you can change it to a puffle is brilliant."

There are almost 100 comments on Reevoo about this Club Penguin soft toy, all singing its praises - they can't all be wrong!

Special Agent Oso Bear £10 @ Disney

by Sarah Macdonald in Deals on 12 December, 2011 at 9:00 am

Special Agent Oso Bear £10 @ DisneyIf you were in the cuddly toy market last year then you might remember all the fuss that surrounded this Special Agent Oso Bear - the world went crazy for him!  He's back this year, on sale at the Disney Store, for £10 instead of £18.

It's almost impossible to believe that more than a year has gone by since we were all sitting here in the PlayPennies office, in utter bemusement at all the brouhaha and frantic parental searching for one of these Special Agent Oso Bears.

They went out of stock as soon as they were IN stock and I saw a Special Agent Oso Bear up for sale on that well known auction site for more than three times the rrp!

None of us had any clue about Special Agent Oso Bear until Lynley wrote about him, then we discovered that all hell had broken loose in the toy world and Special Agent Oso was HOT!

After a quick bit of research, I discovered that Special Agent Oso is a blue and yellow panda (you don't see many of those!) who's a special agent and comes to the aid and rescue of kids who need him.

I could do with a Special Agent Oso Magic-Wand-Waving Bear today, I've got three days of things that I need to cram into today before 10pm!  So on that note I'm off to track down the next deal to tell you about.

My First Tool Box - Soft Plush Toy Set £6.44 @ eBay The Magic Toy Shop

by Sarah Macdonald in Deals on 9 November, 2011 at 9:00 am

My First Tool Box - Soft Plush Toy Set £6.44 @ eBay The Magic Toy ShopOh now this is a cute little plush My First Tool Box set for a young lad - everything is soft and brightly coloured and is just £6.44 with an additional, non-extortionate, £1.90 for delivery.

It's funny, I'm not averse to gender stereotypical toys for boys, like this My First Tool Box set, but I hate play vacuum cleaners et al for girls!  If my youngest was still very young, or I knew a baby boy heading towards his first Christmas then this is something I'd buy.

The tools and tool box of this My First Tool Box plush set are all soft - if you have children of your own then you'll have experienced them inadvertently bashing themselves on the head with hard plastic tools, or something similar; the tears and upset from those little accidents is something which can be avoided if your tools are soft and lovely!

The plush tool box contains a hammer, spanner, screwdriver and pair of pliers and it zips up, keeping them all neat and tidy when they're not being played with.

The plush My First Tool Box measures approximately 18 x 17cm and each tool roughly 5 x 15cm.  More than 1,700 have been sold and the only thing I can tell you is that, at the time of writing (8.50am) there are more than 10 available - so that could be 11 or it could be 111, your guess is as good as mine!

Build A Bear Toys Review

Build A Bear Toys Review

Over the last year, we've acquired two Build A Bear soft toys: a rabbit and a bear.

As an overall verdict, I have to say that they are great. The bears are well made, the accessories are super-cute, and there's enough variety and option that you're highly unlikely to buy something the intended recipient already owns.

They're also relatively unique, so you're not going to end up two or three of the same toys under the Christmas tree.

There's attention to even small details – for example, the rabbit has a tail, and her jeans (and the panties underneath!) have a hole in for the tail to go through.

Our rabbit came in jeans and a t-shirt, while the bear came in full Viking regalia, complete with a material sword and shield, a Viking hat and boots. There are loads of other outfits to choose from too – a jedi knight, Christmas costumes, and various fairy tale costumes, as well as 'fashion' clothing, formal clothings, sports and swim wear.

There's also a plethora of accessories, from health care to electronics to furniture to go with your new furry Build A Bear friend.

All Build A Bears come in a cardboard 'house' complete with windows and doors for safekeeping. We sealed up the windows on ours and use them for storing small toys.

We love them and will be adding to our her collection this Christmas too.

Big And Small 'Big' Toy £4.99 @ Amazon

Big And Small 'Big' Toy £4.99 @ Amazon

If you love the Big and Small TV characters, you are going to love this 'Big' soft toy from Amazon at only £4.99 – a whopping 62% discount.

The British TV show Big and Small has captured the hearts of many children around the country, in fact on 40 channels around the world, thanks to the BBC. The familiar format of characters doing something, a conflict arising, and then resolving the conflict and at least one song in each episode engages little people with award winning entertainment.

If your little one loves the show, they will adore the 33cm purple plush toy. People who have left reviews on Amazon comment particularly that the toy perfectly resembles his TV counterpart, and is well made, which in a child's toy is a great bonus.

You can add 'Small' to the purchase too for a further £4.98, bringing the total for the pair to a very reasonable £9.97 – still £3.02 shy of the original price tag for 'Big' alone. Add the free Super Saver delivery to the deal and it is definitely a great bargain for fans of this children's comedy show, or lovers of soft toys.

Hello Kitty Soft Toy £10 @ Tesco

by Sarah Macdonald in Deals on 29 September, 2010 at 11:00 am

Hello Kitty Soft Toy £10 @ TescoI have NO idea why 'Hello Kitty' is as loved and successful as she is. Tesco have reduced their Hello Kitty18" soft toy by 50%, and when they do this their stock tends to fly off the shelves FAST! So don't hang around on this one.

I'm not sure what I can tell you about this deal; a soft toy is a soft toy!

So this Hello Kitty 18" soft toy doesn't do anything. It doesnt' require any batteries and it doesn't make any noises - there are no rattles, crackles, squeaks or tinkling bells.

There are no flashing lights or moving parts (oooh it's sounding better and better with every word I write!) there's no need for water or parental supervision - all your child has to do with Hello Kitty is LOVE her!

I did a quick bit of a research (I'm a bit like that) and discovered that Hello Kitty has been around since 1975!

Apparently she wasnt' given a mouth so that your own feelings, whether happy or sad, could be projected onto her, meaning she'd be happy or sad with you and there'd be some sort of empathy going on.

Fancy that, so her designer didn't just 'forget' then...

This particular Hello Kitty soft toy should be £20, but is up for grabs for £10 - go and get one, they won't stay in stock for long!

Thanks to babyblue over HUKD

ps - apparently, they are available for this price IN STORE too, if you happen to be going to Tesco any time soon!

Cuddly Meerkat £4.99 @Play.com

by Heidi Scrimgeour in Deals on 5 April, 2010 at 9:00 am

Cuddly Meerkat £4.99 @Play.com

Ok so this is a slightly left-field deal post but bear with me. This soft toy meerkat can be yours for £4.99 instead of £5.99 at Play.com right now...

'Why would I want  cuddly meerkat?' you might well be asking yourself, and I understand that. Except my kid fell in love with meerkats at the zoo recently and decided to spend his pocket money on one of these dudes in the gift shop on our way home. Never has a meerkat been the recipient of so much love. He takes this furry friend with him absolutely everywhere and even bedtime is easy when he has his meerkat to take along for company.

I think I would have laughed at this post were it not for the fact that my son's meerkat is such a beloved toy. So if you're looking for something a bit different for a birthday pressie, why not try this 8" cuddly meerkat?

Teddy bears are sooo last year.
