Sesame Street Count N Crunch Cookie Monster £17.99 @ Play

Sesame Street Count N Crunch Cookie Monster £17.99 @ PlayOhhhh, I want this Sesame Street Count n Crunch Cookie Monster; I LOVED the Cookie Monster when I was little, he was my favourite along with Oscar the Grouch.

I saw a really funny cartoon picture featuring the Cookie Monster a few weeks ago - he was sitting at a computer looking utterly perplexed, the caption above read: Delete cookies?!!  HA! It really made me laugh.

Anyway, this Sesame Street Count n Crunch Cookie Monster will help your child develop their early numbers and counting skills.  When you feed him cookies he'll swallow them and count, "One...two...three!"

He also has very ticklish feet, when they're pressed he'll wiggle and giggle and talk - he really is super cute and kids that already have their own Sesame Street Count n Crunch Cookie Monster LOVE him...

"Toy was purchased for my 10 month old baby and it is the coolest thing I have ever/ or will ever buy him."

"I bought this toy as a Christmas present for my daughter but couldn't wait to give her it. She loves putting the cookies in his mouth then taking them back out of his backpack. The only criticism I have is that it only counts to 3 once, it would be better if it had some more phrases but it's keeping her entertained and that's what counts."

Sesame Street Count n Crunch Cookie Monster usually sells for £29.99 but you can get him from Play (and Amazon if you prefer) for £17.99; I want him and now I also want cookies.

Let's Rock Elmo £39.99 @ Play

by Sarah Macdonald in Deals on 21 November, 2011 at 11:00 am

Let's Rock Elmo £39.99 @ PlayOhhhh, I love Elmo! He's just too cute and I've got a great deal on this Let's Rock Elmo for you: his usual retail price is a rather staggering £69.99 but Play are currently letting him go for just £39.99.

Just in case you were wondering how the other usual suspects compare, I can tell you that Amazon are selling him for £44.99, Toys R Us - £49.99, and Debenhams and Argos coming in as the most expensive at £56 (add 99 pence on for Argos).

Let's Rock Elmo comes with his very own microphone and two instruments for him to play - a tambourine and a drum set.  Your young Elmo fan can choose which instrument Elmo plays, and he recognizes which one you give him; they can even play along Let's Rock Elmo's instruments too, as they're small enough for little hands.

Let's Rock Elmo isn't a two-instrument trick pony though, ohhhh no - he can play and interact with other Let's Rock instruments too (these are sold separately); he knows when you're playing the Let's Rock Guitar, Keyboard or Microphone and will play along with you.

Let's Rock Elmo can sing too - seriously, is there no end to his talents?! - he sings six 'rockin' songs' (I have no idea what they are - but can't imagine there's any thrash metal in there somehow) for your young rock chick or dude to groove along to.

Let's Rock Elmo comes with the six AA batteries he needs and is suitable for little rockers aged between 18 months and about four years.

Sesame Street Old School Series 1 and 2 DVD £14.99 @ Readers Digest

Sesame Street Old School Series 1 and 2 DVD £14.99 @ Readers DigestOh my goodness! HOW much did I love Sesame Street when I was a little girl?  Only LOADS! Is it okay to buy yourself your own Christmas presents early? Actually, I don't care whether it is or not, this Seasame Street Old School Series 1 and 2 DVD set, for £14.99, is already in the virtual basket and I'll be checking out just as soon as I'm done with this post.

It's funny, I remember being irritated by the voices of the kids on Sesame Street and Big Bird wasn't one of my favourites at all, but I tuned in every week all the same.  I was waiting to see the Cookie Monster and Oscar the Grouch - he was the miserable one who lived in the 'trash can', remember? - those two were my absolute favourites; I adored them.

Six discs make up this Sesame Street Old School Series 1 and 2 DVD set and feature Big Bird (of course) and the Cookie Monster (hurrah!) and all the other Sesame Street gang.  Using a mixture of stories, games and cartoons, letters and numbers are become fun and easy to remember for little kids.
