Zid Zed Picnic Table £22 @ Tesco

by Luschka van Onselen in Deals on 19 March, 2011 at 3:00 pm

Zid Zed Picnic Table £22 @ TescoThis Zid Zed picnic table at Tesco was £54.97 and is now reduced to £22.

The Zid Zed picnic table is a lovely idea for the garden. It has a painted finish, making it suitable for outdoor use.

Assembled the table is 45x45x80 so it won't take up too much space and probably won't be suitable for a family dinner, but still good for getting the little ones outdoors for lunch.

Also looks like a good set for outdoor play, or a bit of arts and crafts.

I actually think it's a pretty nice looking picnic table set, and like the fact that it's wooden – it won't be as cold to the touch as a steel set, and is not as flimsy as a plastic one. This comes with two benches as well, so the seats will be at the right height for the table.

The description says delivery will take around 10 days, but when you go to checkout it says around 3. Delivery adds another £5 to the total too.

Childrens' Garden Bench £27.49 @ Tesco

Childrens' Garden Bench £27.49 @ TescoThe other day I posted a deal for a full-size picnic bench...well, now it's time for the Lilliput version with a Lilliput price as Tesco have reduced this from £54.99 to £27.49

Kids - they love having things for their own size, even more so if they look just like our grown-up things and this little wooden picnic table ticks those boxes.

Aside from pandering to little whims, furniture for your little kids is practical, sensible and just more civilised - there'll be no more trying to scrabble up on to a seat that's too high for them, no more trying to eat when your chin barely reaches the table and don't even get me started on trying to reach for drinks etc.

Childrens' Garden Bench £27.49 @ TescoCan you tell I've been here before!  My big kids adored their little picnic table when they were small - it allowed them to sit and eat with the grown-ups without having to ask for help.

Of course, they can sit and do other things at their little bench too, we used ours for sitting outside on warm summer days and doing drawings of things we could see in the garden.

You're going to have to get out your tools and put your self-assembly hat on but at least delivery for collection in-store is free and you'll get double clubcard points if you have one!

B&Q Oxford Picnic Bench (A Frame Table) £54.98

B&Q Oxford Picnic Bench (A Frame Table) £54.98If you're weekend weather was anything like mine then the last thing on your shopping list would have been a picnic bench, but summer IS coming - I promise!

It's beautiful here where I am today, albeit a bit chilly, but the sun IS out so it's time to get prepared.

You know how it goes, when it's summer the shops take all the summer stuff out and want you buy for winter and when it's absolutely freezing they are full of everything for summer!

I have a love-hate relationship with garden furniture - I love the really nice big tables with the ohhh-so-comfy looking chairs and the giant parasol but I hate that it's so expensive.

So, in the meantime, if your outdoor seating and eating facilities are a bit lacking (like mine), order and reserve this online then scoot off toyour nearest B&Q and VIOLA! you're all sorted for summer eating and drinking outdoors for less than £60 - good ol' B&Q have taken £45 off the original selling price.

Happy outdoor eating....when it gets warm enough!
