Celebaby: Peter Get Royal Invite and No More Twitter For Kym Marsh

by Sarah Macdonald in Celebaby on 1 February, 2011 at 10:00 am

Celebaby: Peter Get Royal Invite and No More Twitter For Kym MarshFormer Celebrity Dad of the Year has reportedly been invited to the Royal wedding at the end of April!  How very bizarre, I've never seen any hint that 'Peader' was 'bezzie mates' with Wills or Kate.

A couple of things I think we can pretty certain of though is 1) his ex-wife Katie Price won't be invited and 2) she'll be hopping mad about that he has been.

Twitter has become the celebrity social networking method of choice. They're all at it and the vast majority of the planet lap up everything their fav' celeb' has to say, from the breaking news to the inane 'just got up...URGH'.

Kym Marsh, however, has gone the other way and deleted her Twitter account.

Tweeting that she didn't feel BBC's Waterloo Road should have won the 'Best Drama' award at the National Television Awards last week, rather upset fans of the show and they took to her Twitter account en masse!

Hollyoaks actor Gerard McCarthy explained all on HIS Twitter account (where else!?)...

"Guys, just spoke to Lady Marsh... All is fine. She just decided to delete her account due to the NTA fiasco & people being nasty to her (sic). She is pregnant & her number one priority is her baby so it's really not worth letting a handful of idiots cause her unnecessary stress."

Celebaby: A Christmas Truce For Jordan and Peter

by Sarah Macdonald in Celebaby on 7 December, 2010 at 10:00 am

Celebaby: A Christmas Truce For Jordan and PeterYes I know this is about Jordan AGAIN, but every so often I read something positive from the Price/Andre camp that makes me see a glimmer of hope for their kiddies.

Christmas can be tough if you're juggling two families when you're NOT an attention-seeking media hungry individual.

But Jordan's latest statement that she's taking the kids out of the public eye and her claim to want a 'normal childhood' for them, seems to be backed up with the news that she and 'Peader' are going to spend a few hours together, as a family, with the kids!

One of those useful sources was quoted in the Daily Star as saying,

"The children are now at an age when they are fully aware of what is going on, so for their sakes Kate and Peter have decided to put on a show of union.  It's been a tough year for them both, but they are determined not to ruin Christmas for the kids. They will both be on their best behaviour."

Call me old-fashioned, but shouldn't they be on their best behaviour as far as the kids are concerned anyway?!

It does take both sides to be willing to remain a strong 'family unit' when it comes to anything to do with children, but it's not impossible.

Perhaps this is a turning point...?  Or perhaps this will be more like the World War One Christmas Truce, with the gloves coming back off after all the mince pies have been eaten and the wrapping paper thrown away.

Fingers crossed for 5-year-old Junior, 3-year-old Princess Tiaamii and 8-year-old Harvey, that it's the beginning of happier times!

Celebaby: Will Peter Andre Pay The Price?

Celebaby: Will Peter Andre Pay The Price?

How's THAT for a cheesy headline!

Price v Andre

"Roll up, ROLL UP! Grab your tickets now ladies and gentleman for the next big 'sleb divorce! It's Kadie v Pedder - so whilst you're at it you might want to place your bets!"

Divorce is horrible even if you utterly loathe the mere mention of the name of your soon-to-be ex-husband or wife, but imagine doing it with a ton of journos and papparazos all wanting a piece of the action.

I can only imagine that Katie will be loving all the attention - there's no such thing as bad publicity after all - but I'm not so sure about Peter Andre, who despite being a bit wimpy for my taste, seems like he's probably quite a nice chap.

It's going to be a battle royale though, that's for sure, with them both taking to the stands to testify and dish the dirt on what caused the breakdown of their marriage.

Ohhhh to be a fly on the wall hey, but you can't because family courts are closed - although...I wonder how many of those really useful 'close sources' will be in court texting and tweeting the latest breaking revelations to their contacts at all the red top papers?

Cynical?! ME!!? Noooo.

There are no winners when it comes down it - and with all the media furore that will surround the proceedings, which are set to start on Thursday, I wonder how many of them will spare a thought for the kids who are caught up in the middle of it all?

Celebaby: Conspiracy Theories and Advertising

by Sarah Macdonald in Celebaby on 29 July, 2010 at 11:00 am

It's all about two dads in Celebaby today - Michael Jackson and one of the best conspiracy love child theories I've heard in a long time, and the nation's 'favourite' celebrity dad, Peter Andre, could be about to get his goody-two-shoes knuckles wrapped by Ofcom.

Michael Jackson's My Dad!

Celebaby: Conspiracy Theories and AdvertisingI'm surprised it's taken this long to be honest!

You have to feel for the Jackson family as a whole. Some of them quirky, yes, but they're still human beings like the rest of us, but just because they're one of the most famous families in the world, doesn't make them immune from the emotions that the near-constant barrage of accusations, revelations, stories, theories and speculation must trigger.

A woman named Mocienne Petit Jackson is claiming that Michael Jackson is her bilogical father. She also says that her mother, Barbara, is Diana Ross' sister and has filed legal documents with the Los Angeles County Superior Court making a claim for an inheritance cheque from the Jackson estate, pending the results of a DNA test.

Wait, it gets 'better'!  She also says that Katherine Jackson, Michael's mother, faked an 'abduction' where she was squirrelled away to Belgium and her alleged abductors were subsequently murdered to cover it all up!

If I was a member of the Jackson family, I wouldn't know whether to laugh or cry at this one.

An OFCOM Slap On the Wrist

Celebaby: Conspiracy Theories and AdvertisingI've never watched Peter Andre's reality TV show - I really don't see the appeal of any of them to be honest.  But I did have to chuckle when I read that someone has complained to Ofcom claiming that he advertised the Emirates airline and the Atlantis Palm resort in Dubai.

So, the episode went a bit like this: 'Peeder' takes Princess and Junior on holiday to Dubai. Princess dressed up as a member of the Emirates cabin crew (if you've ever seen a female Emirates cabin crew member then you'll understand why a little girl would want to dress like them - they are always STUNNING!) and a while later Peter said to the kids, "Will you look at this hotel!" whilst the camera showed shots of the Atlantis Palm brochure.

Well, was he advertising and endorsing all things Dubai and Emirates? I don't think so!

Celebaby: Conspiracy Theories and AdvertisingIf I took my kids to the Atlantis Palm I think I might be saying a whole lot more than 'will  you look at this hotel!' although I can't see my 15-year-old daughter dressing up as Emirates cabin crew *grin*.

What's going to be next? If we're not careful all celebrities with their own reality shows will have to be naked and walk everywhere for fear of being accused of advertising clothing ranges and car manufacturers.

Bonkers!

Celebaby: Celebrity Dad Of The Year and More for McCartney

by Sarah Macdonald in Celebaby on 22 June, 2010 at 11:00 am

Go on guess! I bet you can't guess who is Bounty's Celebrity Dad of the Year!

Peter Andre - Celebrity Dad of the Year

Celebaby: Celebrity Dad Of The Year and More for McCartneyWell, it's not exactly a shocker is it! And very much deserved if my humble opinion counts for anything.

I remember Peter Andre when he first hit the music charts far too many years ago and thought he was a bit drippy to be honest.  Then when he got together with Katie Price, well it was like watching a lamb going to slaughter wasn't it!

I thought he was even more drippy watching him trail around after her like a little puppy dog whilst she used and abused him, but it seems he's emerged from that nightmare part of his life stronger and has, on the whole, conducted himself with nothing but dignity in the face of massive provocation and publicity.

Like him or not, you can't question his doting fatherhood credentials and I love seeing pictures of him with his kids Junior, five, and Princess, two.

Just in case you're interested, here are the other nominees:

1. Ronan Keating

2. Peter Andre

3. Mark Owen

4. Vernon Kay

5. Jeff Brazier

6. Ryan Thomas

7. Gordon Brown

8. David Cameron

9. Frank Lampard

10. Wayne Rooney

11. Steven Gerrard

12. Jamie Oliver

13. Gavin Henson

14. Gary Barlow

Gordon Brown, celebrity dad of the year? Can you imagine! *grin*

More for McCartney

Celebaby: Celebrity Dad Of The Year and More for McCartneyStella McCartney is expecting her fourth child! FOUR children...I've got three and that's more than enough; people with four either need a round of applause for their efforts or a pack of condoms I reckon.

Already parents to a son Miller (5); a daughter, Bailey, (3) and a second son, Beckett (2) Stella and husband, Alasdhair Willis, are expecting baby number four in the autumn.

Talking about family, back in February, she said, "I'm kind of interested in having more children. Though right now I feel like I've only just stopped having them, so I'm ready to have a bit of a break first."

'Kind of interested'...? I'd say she was very intersted, wouldn't you!

Congrats to them (four kids....must be bonkers! And don't  you think her Alasdhair Willis looks like a young Daniel Craig?!).

Celebaby: Alicia Keys Rumours and Permanent-Custody-Pete

by Sarah Macdonald in Celebaby on 25 May, 2010 at 11:00 am

In today's Celebaby - is Alicia Keys pregnant and Peter Andre wants to have permanent custody of his kids

Is She Or Isn't She?

Celebaby: Alicia Keys Rumours and Permanent-Custody-PeteThe rumourmongers are hard at work in the celebrity 'is-she-isn't-she-pregnant?' department of the rumour mill and speculation over whether or not Alicia Keys in in the family way is rife!

I must confess that when we were watching her guest appearance on American Idols a couple of weeks ago (it's one of my few and far between guilty pleasures!) we did sit and muse over this very thing!  At the time there were two possibilities a) she most definitely was expecting or b) she was the victim of one of the worst wardrobe faux pas we'd seen in a long time.

Well now it seems that option a) is the more likely of the two, although looking at that outfit BOTH a) and b) could apply!

Have a look at this picture, which was taken during Ms Keys' performance on the opening day of Radio One's Big Weekend music festival last weekend, and see what YOU think...

Permanent Parenting for Pete?

Celebaby: Alicia Keys Rumours and Permanent-Custody-PeteWhen you look back over your life I'm sure, like me, there are things you did where you can't help but wonder 'what on EARTH was I thinking?!'  I'm willing to bet money that this is what goes through Peter Andre's mind when/if he looks back at how he chased Jordan when they were in the 'I'm a (d-list)Celebrity' jungle a few years ago.

I can't believe they were married for four years - a stay of the same duration at one of Her Majesty's free 'hotels' would have been less of an ordeal - and whilst Pete's managed to escape the same can't be said for the Price offspring.

I don't care how much money she has, I'm not interested in how much she says she loves her kids (and I don't doubt that she does), no one in their right mind would agree that the people, influences and goodness knows what else these babies are being exposed to, and witnessing, on a regular basis (and at only two, four and eight years old, that's what they are) is appropriate or responsible!

Those helpful 'insiders' have been happy to spill the beans again and reveal that Pete is very concerned about his kids and is now looking to have them with him on a permanent basis...

“Pete’s naturally worried about the association that Katie has with them – he doesn’t want people like that round his children. Pete has been in a legal battle with Katie for months over agreed contact with his children, now he wants them to live permanently with him.”

And Pete's view? “Just like any other parent, what I care about is whether [they] are a good influence on my children. I would fight to the death for my kids.”

Good for him I say and I can't help but think that living with Pete full-time rather than Katie will only be a good thing for the kids too.
