There’s actually a really good explanation of the Peppa Pig Bingo from the only review on Amazon.

Apparently, “this is a sound-recognition bingo game for 2-4 players. Each player chooses one of the 4 plastic game boards (Emily, Pedro, Peppa, Danny) There are 2 variations - "object sounds" and "occupations sounds". Players decide which variation they want to play and turn their game boards to the correct side (one side has only object pictures, the other has only occupations pictures).”

According to Kip, the reviewer, “You select the variation on the central unit using a slider button, and each player presses his character button on the central unit. Then the game starts. Each player takes turns to press the buzzer on the central unit. The unit will play a sound. Kip says its an enjoyable game, with the only two downsides being you can’t let your child win, and you have to stick the stickers on yourself, the right sticker in the right place.

I had a silver locket when I was little and I loved it; I loved that I could keep something 'secret' in it that no one else could see unless I chose to show it to them.

Ahhhh Peppa Pig! I miss her; she brings back fond memories of when my youngest was cute, and little, and not into splatting aliens like Ben 10, or challenging me to lightsabre battles where I have to let him win.

I love these Peppa Pig Fairy Tale Little Library books – any of the Little Library book sets actually - they are such a great way to introduce tiny kids to the fantastic world of books and reading.

So, six little chunky board books make up the Peppa Pig Fairy Tale Little Library collection, and they come all nicely packaged in their own slip case to keep them altogether.

They're perfect for chubby fingers to get to grips with and are marvellous for very short bedtime 'stories' - my youngest had a Bob the Builder set and were favourites for a long time. In fact, he's recently rediscovered them, but this time he's reading them for himself - so grown up now *sigh*

As I sit writing this my six year old son is sitting next to me playing with his Peppa Pig playground playset. The toys in this range have an appeal that last for quite a while. I think he still plays with all his Peppa Pig stuff even though he's a little bit old for the show now. I don't think you can really go wrong then with this Peppa Pig Peppa Secret Tower if you're looking for something as a Christmas gift. Princess Peppa has her own secret tower, and she wants to share its magical mysteries with you! At least that's what it says on the website. I can't quite see what is 'secret' about it to me (I was thinking it might have a secret compartment, but I couldn't see anything about that in the blurb).

It folds out to reveal royal rooms, accessories and beautiful furniture, all fit for a princess. There’s all sorts of secret wonders to be discovered, including a magical mirror and a large clothes dresser – after all, a princess needs somewhere special to store all her beautiful outfits. When Peppa is tired, she can relax in the luxurious four poster bed. Again, that's what it says on the website and I have to wonder who on earth writes these things and have they even seen the show? Peppa is one of the best role models for little girls on the telly. She's not princess obsessed, and she's not fashion obsessed!

However, if I was going to have anything 'princess' themed in your child's bedroom then this would probably be it.

This Peppa Secret Tower is designed to encourage development of hand to eye co-ordination, while also offering your child hours of imaginative play. It’s suitable for little princesses aged 3 years and up.

This Peppa Pig Duo Jigsaw Puzzle is a lovely looking gift for a Peppa Pig fan. The box contains two puzzles, one with twelve pieces and another with twenty-four.  It’s currently on offer at £3.99 instead of £6.99.

It’s pretty self-explanatory really – two puzzles, one with twelve pieces and one with twenty four, suitable from ages three and up.  The puzzles both measure 23cm by 19cm, so around an A4 page in size, and come in a box that acts as a carry case too.

The winter theme of the 24-piece puzzle will go well with the season, and the 12-piece summer picnic set will give you something to look forward to.

The reviews are really mixed on this one – some say it looks cheap, some say the box is too big for the quantity of puzzles (??) and some say it’s fantastic and the kids love it. It’s a cheapy, and makes a good stocking filler, but don’t expect  miracles, I say.

Actually, this toy reminds me of one of the rides at Peppa Pig World in Paultons Park – an absolute MUST DO day out if you have a bit of a Peppa fan in your home. It’s a bit like being stuck in one of those shiny happy worlds you’d see on TV, but the kids love it and it’s really well done.

But anway, I digress.

Don't look at me like that, I'm just the messenger - albeit a rather early one.

I must admit, I’ve totally gone off Peppa Pig. I loathe the repeated portrayal of Daddy Pig as an idiot, and after tweeting about it recently, I discovered I wasn’t alone. Many people find that rather offensive – but I was assured that in later episodes, Mummy Pig gets her come-uppance too. And really, I don’t know how I feel about that either.  But my daughter loves Peppa, and especially her as-big- as-her Peppa Pig doll, so we’ve kept that, but the DVD’s have mysteriously disappeared from our house.

She does have a Peppa’s Palace too, and she absolutely loves it and plays with it for hours on end. This is the smarter version, it seems, as it comes with a few accessories, such as thrones for the King and Queen, beds, tables and chairs, an oven cauldron and an exclusive guardsman. It comes with a Peppa figurine and for the price many people felt that it should’ve had more accessories, but at this price, hopefully that makes up for it.

We went on a really long flight recently – 11 hours’ worth of day flight – and one item in the bag full of in-flight entertainment toys I had for my daughter was a magnet book which she spent a good couple of hours on and off, playing with. I was really glad for it too, as not only doesn’t it take up much room or weigh very much, but it also provided plenty of play.

This Peppa Pig magnet book is all about Peppa and her little brother George, having fun “on an exciting adventure”. You can join in by reading the story and choosing the magnets to finish the pictures.

There are ten story pages and while it doesn’t say how many magnets there are, looking at the pictures it looks like there’ll be at least one for each of the main characters, and a few friends.

If you have a toddler in the UK, chances are you need little to no introduction to Peppa Pig, or explanation as to why this is such a fab little gift item.

The toy bubble blowing ‘lawn mower’ decorated with Peppa Pig, is just that – the red one in the image above is the one you can get from Wilkinson in this offer, but I put the pink one in too to show you where the bubbles come from.

The bubble mower requires 2 x 1.5v AA/LR6 batteries, which aren’t included. It also requires bubble solution, but there is some included to get you started with. I can’t see them, but the blurb does warn that there are small parts which could be a choking hazard in under 3’s.

The mower is 50cm high, and 30cm  wide, so it wont take up masses of space, but isn’t a small toy either.

We spent ages recently trying to find a single bed for my daughter. We settled on one that was over £100 but came with it’s own mattress – this was a mistake! While the bed is fab, the mattress is a nightmare. If either of us tries to lie down next to her, we have springs in our backs! While it seems fine for her – she’s light enough not to make much of a dent in the mattress, it definitely won’t be suitable long term, and if we ever did this again, we’d just buy a frame we liked and get our own mattress with it.

This Peppa Pig single bed has a Polka Dot design MDF headboard and the rest of it is made from steel. It is 199cm x W91cm x H35cm, making it an ideal first bed as it’s easy to get onto and off of at that height.

I don’t get the whole Peppa Pig thing. She’s a little whiney, obnoxious and somewhat vain pig, but for my sins, my daughter loves her. I bought her a pair of Wellies when we were on holiday in April, and the only ones in her size were Peppa Pig, and since then… there are even tears sometimes if I won’t let her wear her Peppa Pig ‘boots’.  So I won’t be showing her this!

The Spaceman George backpack has a zip for easy opening, and has adjustable straps making it easier for children to carry. It’s not a huge bag – which you don’t really want for a bag for 3 years and up, and the reviews on it are pretty fantastic. Parents and children love it. It’s bigger than ‘baby backpacks but is big enough for ‘a change of clothes and a drink’.

It’s also an ideal backpack for boys, as it doesn’t have the typical Peppa Pig pink.

This is a cute little chair that's guaranteed to get a lot of use this summer, that's assuming the sunshine and warm temperatures decide to put in another, and prolonged, appearance again this year (the weather in my little bit of the country is ruuuubbish again today!).

In the traditional deck chair style, this Peppa Pig chair features a warm and sunny picture of Peppa enjoying herself at the beach .
