Paris Jackson

Celebaby: Paris And Mum

by Sarah Macdonald in Celebaby on 30 April, 2013 at 11:00 am

Celebaby: Paris And MumI'm not often absorbed by celebrity stories; I'm even less prone to feeling warm and fuzzy after reading them, but that's exactly what happened when I read that Paris Jackson is forging a lovely and close relationship with her mum, Debbie Rowe.

I must confess to having forgotten that Michael Jackson was married to Debbie for three years, and that Paris and Prince came from that relationship.  She signed over full custody to Michael when they got divorced, and in 2001 signed away all parental rights to her children.

Now, whatever you think about that course of action, that had to be tough. And even if she was financially compensated, no amount of dollars would have made it any easier. Only seeing her children on the news or in the papers, it's taken a long time for Debbie to have her daughter back in her life.

When Michael died, supervised visitation rights were arranged, with the support of Michael's mother, Katherine.  Now, Paris and her mum go on shopping trips together, and Debbie shared in Paris' 15th birthday celebrations.

Jermaine Jackson, Paris' uncle, is also pleased about this family development, saying, "I think that's wonderful. The kids need their mum. I think it's great. That's their mother. That's wonderful. That's a good thing."

I'm inclined to agree; I think it's wonderful!  By the way, how stunning does Paris look with her short hairdo?!  AND, she has her mother's eyes too, amazing.

Celebaby: Paris And Her Posters

by Sarah Macdonald in Celebaby on 9 August, 2012 at 10:00 am

Celebaby: Paris And Her PostersI went to school with a girl who was Michael Jackson MAD!  Her bedroom was like a shrine to him and I think she went to see him in concert with her mum when he came to London sometime in the mid 80s.

LOTS of people would have had Michael Jackson posters on their walls, but I wonder what it feels like when the posters you're sticking up feature your dad?!

Well let's 'ask' Paris Jackson!  She's a prolific tweeter and after the recent tornado of a family dispute that tore through her life a couple of weeks ago, she seems to have been able to resume normal teenage duties (now that her grandmother has been able to get back home to her grandchildren) - sticking posters of her idol onto her bedroom wall (I had Adam Ant on mine, then Bros a fair few years later).

Along with the picture of the homage to her dad, she said, "A whole wall of his pics is the LEAST I could do."

I really like Paris Jackson, for such a young girl who's not exactly lead the most normal of lives she seems pretty normal and level headed to me; I'm rather looking forward to seeing her grow into a strong, confident and self-assured young lady.

Celebaby: Paris Jackson On Ellen de Generes

by Sarah Macdonald in Celebaby on 15 December, 2011 at 10:00 am

Celebaby: Paris Jackson On Ellen de GeneresThe more I see of Paris Jackson the more impressed by her I become; she's 13 years old, utterly stunning already (in my opinion) and for all the craziness that's surrounded her she comes across as a very well-rounded, balanced and grounded young woman!

Appearing on the Ellen de Generes show she's spoken about her childhood, the crazy masks that Michael Jackson used to have to the kids wear (do you remember that? Do you remember how we all thought he'd turn the kids into deranged lunatics because of his 'press paranoia'?) and how she understood and was/is almost grateful, to a certain extent, as when she first went to school no one knew who she was.

"I'm like, "This is stupid, why am I wearing a mask?" But I kind of realised the older I got, he only tried to protect us and he'd explain that to us too.  I do have a regular childhood. I mean, I'm treated the same. When I came to my new school they didn't know who I was. I was like, "Yes, I have a chance to be normal"."

I told you the other day that Paris has landed herself a lead role in a movie; she's clearly a girl who knows what she wants and knows the right way to go about getting it.

I've not seen her go out dressed inappropriately, I've not seen her be anything less than polite and dignified - maybe Michael Jackson had this parenting malarkey a little more sussed than we gave him credit for and she's certainly a credit to him.

Celebaby: Jackson Children Give To Charity

by Sarah Macdonald in Celebaby on 11 August, 2011 at 10:00 am

Celebaby: Jackson Children Give To CharityI have to say I'm impresed by Michael Jackson's children.

Bearing in mind how crazy their younger years and upbringing looked, at least from the outside, they seem to have come out of it pretty unscathed...so far.

We don't tend to see or hear much from them other than when the anniversary of their father's death comes round, but they have been pictured out and about a fair bit recently, just doing normal things that normal kids do.

One thing they have done this week that's NOT what normal kids do is give away some of their father's drawings to charity.

Maybe the cynical will think it's just a publicity stunt, but what for?  They have no need to get involved in that sort of media circus and, I'm pretty sure, no desire to either.

The artwork was given to the Children's Hospital in Los Angeles as a gift to the children who find themselves unfortunate enough to be there.

All of the children wrote personal messages on the pictures, Blanket's message said

My father's art and music always make everyone happy, Blanket Jackson - I love you daddy

I must confess, Blanket looked a bit subdued in the photographs taken at the event, but the older two looked incredibly relaxed and easy with it all and, OH MY GOODNESS, look at how stunning Paris Jackson already is - she has the most amazing eyes; model material in the making!

Celebaby: Saturday Bits And Pieces

Celebaby: Saturday Bits And PiecesThe Jackson Kids

It's coming up to the two-year anniversary of Michael Jackson's death so the Jackson kids are popping up in the papers again.

They're looking so grown up these days; happy, easy going and relaxed are also words that can be used to describe them.

They were photographed making their way to the cinema earlier this week and Blanket (I wonder if he'll decide to change his name one day; I wonder if I would if my parents had called me Blanket...?) was wearing a rather fab' t-shirt that said:

"Plans for today: Wake up, Brush teeth, Be AWESOME!"

I'm going to make that my mantra of the day - so far I've managed two out of three; the awesome is still to come!

Rod and Baby Stewart

Whilst it only seems like yesterday that Michael Jackson's death hit the headlines (well ok, maybe a bit longer than yesterday), it feels like ages ago that I told you about the arrival of Rod Stewart and Penny Lancaster's new baby, Aiden.

There hasn't been much seen or heard of Rod's seventh child since he was born just four months ago, but he was out and about with his parents yesterday at Salon Prive - a luxury super car event that was being held in Northumberland.

Rod loves fast cars and has a stereotypical red Ferrari so perhaps he was there looking for a custom car seat to fit it, I doubt your bog standard Graco seat does.

I wouldn't drive around in a red Ferrari for love nor money; seriously, I'd rather not have one at all than have a red one. Besides, I'm a Lamborghini girl so I wouldn't be seen dead in a Ferrari anyway *grin*

More outings for Willow Sage

Willow Sage Hart has been out and about with her parents, Pink and Carey Hart, again.

This time she had lunch with them and Pink's mum; I love that they're taking her out and tweeting about how happy they are, I'm not a huge Twitter follower - I have enough trouble keeping up with my own life - but tweets like this will warm the cockles of even the coldest hearts...

We are absolutely blissed out in love over here! To our fans and friends all over the world, thank you for all of the prayers and well wishes throughout this time in our life! Carey is a natural, (I knew he would be) and I finally found out what love really means.

Everybody say 'aaahhhhhh!'

Celebaby: Bits And Pieces

by Sarah Macdonald in Celebaby on 22 February, 2011 at 10:00 am

It's all fairly quiet on the Celebaby front - so here are a couple of snippets of celeb' kids and parent news...

Gwen Stefani

Celebaby: Bits And PiecesFour-year-old Kingston made his runway debut with his mum Gwen Stefani after her LAMB collection showed at New York Fashion Week.

I have to say he looks pretty cool and not at all phased by being in the limelight.

Jackson kids doing ok

Celebaby: Bits And PiecesI'm not sure why this is news but it's making headlines anyway - apparently Michael Jackson's children 'still' talk about him.  Erm, hello?!  He was their father, he's not been dead long and why wouldn't they talk about him?

Jackie Jackson recently spoke to People, saying, "They are around their father 24 hours a day," Jackson's brother said. "They have pictures in the bedroom. They talk about him all the time. They ask me stories about him. They want to know more about him."

He went on to say that all three children are doing well and told how Prince and Paris are becoming interested in following in their father's footsteps by joining the entertainment business. Prince would like to direct, while Paris would like to be an actress.

Jackie told his neice and nephew, "'You better get busy because when we were your age we were selling out concerts!" That made me laugh, c'mon kids step it up a bit!

Celebaby: Material Girl Mk II and Jackson Jollies

by Sarah Macdonald in Celebaby on 26 June, 2010 at 11:00 am

In today's Celebaby we get a sneak preview at the new fashion range designed by Madonna and her daughter, Lourdes, and at long last see the Jackson children enjoying some freedom and having FUN!

Material Girl Mk II

Celebaby: Material Girl Mk II and Jackson JolliesIf someone would like to tell me exactly WHEN Lourdes grew up that would be great, because the last time I looked she was about five!

Now, at the tender age of just 13,  she's about to launch a new clothing range for teenage girls in collaboration with her mega star mother.

Luckily for us mother's with teenage daughters can breath a sigh of relief as it's currently only available at Macys (GREAT shop!) so we won't have to run the gauntlet of teenage tantrums when we say 'NO!'

According to the Daily Mail, the style, "combines vintage Madonna with 13-year-old Lourdes' fresh style in a line that includes skinny jeans, strapless mini-dresses and naturally - a corset or two."

Can't say I'd let my 14 year old daughter out wearing a corset or lace gloves, but then I was never into that when Madonna was wearing it either.

Apparently Madonna wishes her daughter would dress more conservatively....hmmmm, the words pot, kettle and black spring to mind here, but she did have this to say about their new clothing range...

"I think this line is absolutely an extension of her taste. We like to combine a plaid or a flannel with a lace, or leather with lace or rhinestones. So we mix and match textures and fabrics and elements that are both masculine and feminine."

Nice...I still wouldn't buy it, even if I didn't have to fly over to Macy's for the privilege!

Jackson Jollies

Celebaby: Material Girl Mk II and Jackson JolliesMaybe it's just me but...WHEN did Michael Jackson's kids grow up??!!

It's a year since Michael Jackson died and if ever there was an ultimate Celebaby family then the Jacksons would be it surely.

Celebaby: Material Girl Mk II and Jackson JolliesI can't even begin to imagine what it must be like to be the child of someone SO famous, notorious and have courted such controversy.

The enduring images I have are the infamous 'baby dangling over the balcony' one and the kids with their faces covered by scarves.

Celebaby: Material Girl Mk II and Jackson JolliesI'm more than happy to replace those mental pictures with these images of the Jackson children having a great time on a beach in Hawaii - this is what childhoods are all about, playing and having fun!

Paris (12), Prince Michael (13) and Blanket (8) were taken out and allowed to run free by their grandmother Katherine, who has revealed that they have no friends and will be going to school for the first time in September having been previously educated at home.

You can't help but feel for these kids and hopefully they'll be allowed to develop with some sort of normality- well as much as they can ever have bearing in mind their heritage.
