Ride-on rocking toys are fabulous inventions.

All of my kids loved them and, even today, the teenagers will still sit on anything that rocks if it's big enough (or scrunch themselves on to it without causing any damage).

This Izziwotnot Kofi rocker is adoreable; he doesn't just rock though (in both senses of the word) which helps to develop your little one's sense of balance, he's also got a crinkly mane and his ears rattle when you waggle them.

He also has a variety of sound effects and comes with the 2AA batteries needed to power them.

He's suitable for kiddies over 18 months old,  sits on a solid wooden frame and has foot rests and handles for safety.

My Mini Monsters have brought this loveable lion down in price from £59.99 to £39.00, making him much more affordable too.

I've looked at the delivery information and it looks like it's £4.95 - does he count as 'textiles or gift type items though? This is the question! Either way, he's lovely and I'm sure your little one would love him.

Although the focus on the site is on furniture, it also sells a range of gifts, sleep suits and toys. There's also a few odd items too. Like the Izziwotnot Bag Hook. This sticks onto a table, or other surface, so you've always got somewhere to hang your handbag. To be honest, while I like the idea of being able to keep my bag off the floor, I'm not convinced that it keep it safer from bag thieves than slinging it over the back of the chair.

The gift boxes look absolutely lovely, and would probably make a wonderful present for a new, first time parent. I loved the Mini Monsters cushions! These are an unusual way to dress up a child's room.
