Up To 50% Off @ Mamas & Papas

Mamas & Papas is holding its annual mid-season sale at the moment with up to 50% off selected products across an impressive range of brands and items. You can choose from Christmas gifts, clothing, furniture, toys and more.

The mid season sale at Mamas & Papas is something of a treasure trove for those of you hunting for ace Christmas gifts that don’t cost a fortune. Considering how expensive Mamas & Papas is when not on sale, a bargain bin item is a great gift that any parent will appreciate.

There are a couple of other things worth noting about the Mamas & Papas sale today as well. First off you get a £5 e-card when you spend over £50, a £10 e-card when you spend over £100, and a £15 e-card when you spend over £150. While not huge amounts of free money, they are nice enough and valid throughout November.

Mamas & Papas Advance Booster Seat Review

by Luschka van Onselen in Reviews on 4 July, 2011 at 5:00 pm

Mamas & Papas Advance Booster Seat Review

Highchairs. As with everything else in parenting and having a child, there are so many options and varieties to suit your lifestyle, if not your budget, that it's sometimes hard to know what to choose.

When my daughter was about 10 months old, we finally caved and bought a high chair – not the one we wanted, but the one we could afford, which was a mistake. So, at 18 months, we got another chair – this time a booster seat – and it was great.

The bonus of the Mamas & Papas Advance Booster Seat is that firstly, it sits on the chair, so there are no awkward legs to trip over, there’s no extra chair that needs to find a home so the high chair can be next to the table, and most importantly, our daughter is at the table with us, rather than next to it, separated from us.

The Mamas and Papas advance booster seat sits on four spherical balls, with eight adjustable heights so that it can grow with her. At the moment she’s on the highest setting so that she can reach the table easily, which is great as I don’t foresee that we’ll need to buy anything bigger (or smaller)  anytime soon.

The Mamas & Papas Advance Booster Seat attaches to the chair under its seat, so whether you have a collapsible or solid chair, it shouldn’t make a difference. And because the Mamas and Papas advance booster seat has a backrest, the collapsible chair also doesn’t collapse when my daughter tries to ‘ride’ it as the child’s body weight acts as a counter weight, which is fantastic.

There’s a harness to keep her in, if you need to use it (probably with a smaller baby), and you can pull the little one in as close to the table as you need.

The Mamas and Papas advance booster seat also folds up quite compactly and would fit easily in a suitcase, and is relatively light weight, so could even fly with you if you wanted it too.

All in, we love this booster seat from Mamas & Papas and I really wish we’d just gone with this in the first place, and saved ourselves the cost and bother of two previous chairs!

75% Off Barnaby Buttons Interiors @ Mamas & Papas

by Tamsin Oxford in Deals on 16 May, 2011 at 6:00 pm

75% Off Barnaby Buttons Interiors @ Mamas & Papas

Mamas & Papas are having a fantastic sale on all their Barnaby Buttons interiors items. You will get 75% off all their items in this range for the course of this week. But hurry, if you don’t nab them now there won’t be a lot left.

The Barnaby Buttons range at Mamas & Papas is very sweet and neutral. You aren’t looking at bright and crazy colours here – mostly wheat and light brown and whispers of blue and yellow. If you want to get that nursery decorated before baby comes, but don’t know the gender, then this is an ace buy.

You will get the Moses Basket buttons and bears for only £44.50 instead of the usual £89, a cot bumper for only £10.50 instead of the usual £42, a quilt and pillowcase set for £18 instead of £72, gorgeous wallpaper for £2.75 instead of £11, a gorgeous fabric lantern for £6.50 and not £26, and a dreampod 0-6 months for £15 instead of £30.

These prices are really reasonable and for a range that is too cute for words.

Mamas & Papas San Remo Highchair £24 @ Mamas & Papas

by Tamsin Oxford in Deals on 16 May, 2011 at 3:00 pm

Mamas & Papas San Remo Highchair £24 @ Mamas & Papas

This is an ace value for a highchair from Mamas & Papas who are notoriously expensive. The San Remo Highchair from Mamas & Papas has been marked down from £48 to only £29 – that is a very tasty saving on an elegant and rather lovely looking highchair.

The Mamas & Papas San Remo highchair is lightweight and easy to use with a wipe-clean tray and easy folding for quick and simple storage. It is the kind of highchair that would suit a home with very little space and that would appreciate no more clutter.

The seat pad is wipe clean and the tray offers three different positions. While I can respect that this discount is a very nice one from Mamas & Papas, I honestly don’t see what is different between this highchair that used to cost nearly £50 and one that costs £20 from somewhere else? Even at £29, this seems expensive for what you get.

Silver Plated The Promise Collection Egg Cup Made With Crystalized Swarovski Elements £10 @ Mamas & Papas

by Lynley Oram in Deals on 8 April, 2011 at 10:00 am

Silver Plated The Promise Collection Egg Cup Made With Crystalized Swarovski Elements £10 @ Mamas & PapasGot a christening to hand? Maybe there's one imminent? Stock up on this one now. It looks really quite lovely. It's the silver plated The Promise Collection Egg Cup made with Crystalized Swarovski Elements, which Mamas & Papas normally sell for £25. Right now it is on offer for £10.

You don't even need a christening as an excuse really. When son was born I was given a few silver gifts that I treasure. There was a beautiful picture frame, a little first tooth box, and a silver shoe money box. They look gorgeous on an upper shelf in the nursery.

The Promise Collection silver plated egg cup is, according to the website and judging by the photo, encrusted with Swarovski crystals stating Egg on the front and Cup on the back. It comes in an engraved box with faux suede lining. Which looks quite lush from the photos. There's also a keepsake gift box and gift card. Not bad for a tenner.

There aren't any customer reviews on the site. But on our sister site HUKD the poster of this deal said she's bought one as a gift and was very happy with it. Another poster has commented that they've seen them instore, and thought they were lovely.

Up To 50% Off And Free Delivery @ Mamas & Papas

by Lynley Oram in Deals on 14 January, 2011 at 11:00 am

Up To 50% Off And Free Delivery @ Mamas & Papas

The Mamas & Papas winter sale is on. Up to 50% off selected clothing. But also, the site is offering free delivery on all sale clothing AND new season clothing.

I love free delivery on websites. I know it is usually only a small charge, £4.95 in this case, which is probably less than what you'd spend on transport to and from the shops if you're driving. But. It just means that if you see some small items you'd like, but that's all, then it adds so much more to the overall cost.

Mamas & Papas was one of the shops I used to love to browse when I was pregnant and my son was younger. It is simply full of fabby maternity clothes. And the clothes for kids! Wonderful. But. Oh yes you know there's a but coming don't you. How expensive it is. I do agree that it is worth paying for the quality, but it's even better when  you can get it in the sale.

Like this Check Mix Top, which is reduced from £28 to £14. This is lovely, and I have to say that even now five years later there are maternity tops I still wear!

Rocking Animal - Randolph Reindeer £25 @ Mamas & Papas

by Lynley Oram in Deals on 14 December, 2010 at 6:00 pm

Rocking Animal - Randolph Reindeer £25 @ Mamas & PapasThis is so sweet. I've seen these before in store and thought how lovely it was. But at the original price of £75 it was far too pricey for something so Christmas themed. That said, a Reindeer is more winter as well, right? Anway, at £25, the price Mamas & Papas have reduced the Rocking Animal Randolph Reindeer to, I reckon it is a pretty good buy!

The other reason I'd be happier buying this at the reduced price is the colour. Just how long will it stay that pristine white? A while perhaps while baby is still little but once he or she is tottering around the place it'll soon be showing the damage of sticky hands!

Delivery is free to the store, or within four working days for £4.95. To guarantee pre-Christmas delivery, you need to make your order by the 17th December 2010.

The website describes Rocking Randolph as a "luxurious ride on with crinkle material in his antlers and ears." The rocker has a removable foot rest, hand grips for safety, a soft suedette saddle and green fleece scarf.

Its dimensions are:  height 45cm, width 27cm, depth 64cm (approximately).
The seat height is approximately 32cm. The rocker weighs about 4.5kg.

Mamas and Papas Discount Bank Holiday Event

by Sarah Macdonald in Deals on 27 August, 2010 at 10:00 am

Mamas and Papas Discount Bank Holiday EventIt's that time of year again! Everyone is slashing their prices in a bid to tempt you in and spend your cash before the end of the Bank Holiday on Monday - Mamas & Papas are no different and have a big Bank Holiday discount event going on.

There are so many bargains to be had that it's always difficult to know what to show you!

There are up to half price discounts right across their departments and ranges; if you're expecting a little one soon and have some big purchases, such as nursery furniture or a travel system, still to buy then you could save yourself a fair few pounds with a bit of careful bargain hunting.

If you're already sorted with those big things and are looking for bits and pieces to decorate a nursery with, then there are discounts to be had on nursery interiors too.

Mamas and Papas Discount Bank Holiday EventWhen I was looking for things for my youngest I completely and utterly fell in love with Mamas and Papas' Millie and Boris range (this is the new range and it's not included in the Bank Holiday discount event - but I'd hate for someone to miss Millie and Boris because I didn't mention them!)

There are bargains up for grabs on maternity clothes, kids clothes and for those of you who are super organised and looking for *whispers* Christmas gifts then there's money off those too!

This Mamas and Papas Bank Holiday discount event will end at midnight on Monday 30 August; happy bargain hunting!

Mamas and Papas Sabrina Cot £69.99 @ Argos

by Sarah Macdonald in Deals on 25 August, 2010 at 8:00 am

Mamas and Papas Sabrina Cot £69.99 @ ArgosMamas and Papas nursery furniture can be expensive, but Argos are 'giving away' this Mamas & Papas Sabrina cot for just £69.99 instead of £114.89.

I always chose to have cotbeds for my three children, but not everyone wants, or has space for, something quite so big which is where normal sized cots come into their own.

This Mamas and Papas Sabrina cot has a lovely classic look to it as it's finished in an antique pine colour. One side drops down and each side rail has teething covers on them - this is a GREAT feature; my eldest used to set my teeth on edge, when he was little, as he used to drag his top teeth across the side rails of his cot bed *shudder*

The Sabrina cot doesn't come with a mattress but then very few cots, or cot beds, do - apparently this is to allow us parents to decide which mattress we'd like to be ripped off  for choose from!

The technical blurb for this Mamas & Papas Sabrina cot is as follows:

  • Size (W)62, (L)121, (H)93cm.
  • Suitable from birth.
  • Pine cot with antique finish.
  • 3-position mattress base that allows easy access.
  • Teething rails.
  • 1 drop side.
  • Mattress not included - requires mattress size (L)117, (W)54cm.
  • Complies with BS EN 716.
  • Weight 25.9kg.
  • Home delivery is currently sitting at approximately 14 days, or you can collect it from your local Argos if they have it in stock, and you'll need to deploy your self assembly skills when it arrives.
