Cerise 3-Wheel Jogger £10 @ Littlewoods

by Tamsin Oxford in Deals on 30 January, 2012 at 6:00 pm

Cerise 3-Wheel Jogger £10 @ Littlewoods

Littlewoods has marked the Cerise 3-Wheel jogger kids toy down from £36 to only £10 – that’s a saving of £26 (well over half the original price) and it comes with free delivery. And yes, it is a kid’s toy so no real babies in here please!

I am honestly taken aback at the idea of the Cerise 3-Wheel jogger costing £36 originally. Wow. That is a lot of money for a pretend pram. For only £30 more you could probably buy a real one! Anyway, £10 is far more reasonable for this bright pink three wheel jogger for little baby toys.

This doll’s pushchair has a canopy and a comfortable EVA handle grip – that description made me laugh. An EVA grip? For a child’s toy? It seems a little excessive. Anyway, there is even an under seat storage net and the handle sits at 59cm high making it ideal for kids over the age of three.

Ladybird Button Tree Meadow Bouncer £14 @ Littlewoods

Mamas & Papas Camisole £4.94 @ Littlewoods eBay

by Tamsin Oxford in Deals on 23 September, 2011 at 3:00 pm

Mamas & Papas Camisole £4.94 @ Littlewoods eBay

This is a really sweet deal for any pregnant mums out there who fancy something lovely to wear this winter. This Mamas & Papas camisole has been reduced by 83% to £1.99 and the delivery charges are £2.95, taking the total cost to £4.94 when the original price was £12.00. A nice little saving right there…

The Mamas & Papas camisole is lemon in colour and available in sizes 12 and 14. Made from a gorgeously silky soft fabric, this cami is ideal for spring, autumn, and all the seasons in between. It is slightly longer in length than the norm and the A-line cut means it won’t ride up your belly.

The fabric is stretchy so it will adapt as your shape changes too, a fact that really does help. I remember struggling with clothes constantly hiking up over my belly! The camisole is made from polyamide, is machine washable and can only be shipped to the UK.

Thomas And Friends Bouncy Castle £24.99 @ Littlewoods Clearance Outlet

by Tamsin Oxford in Deals on 14 April, 2011 at 3:00 pm

Thomas And Friends Bouncy Castle £24.99 @ Littlewoods Clearance Outlet

Oooh, now this is a fabulous deal! You can nab your very own bouncy castle just in time for the summer holidays for a mere £24.99 from Littlewoods Clearance outlet on eBay. The bouncy castle has a Thomas the Tank Engine theme and is dead cute.

The Thomas and Friends bouncy castle usually sells for around £59 which is far heavier than the lovely £24.99 that it is going for at the moment. It is 153x153x180cm in size so it will fit in most gardens neatly and it will keep the little ones busy and burning off energy this summer.

The Thomas and Friends bouncy castle is ideal for children’s parties and is very easy to assemble. While this may be an excellent price for a bouncy castle it does not come with a pump. This means you will have to fork out some extra cash as this baby will need one to get up and running.

Banzai Strike N Slide Bowling Water Game £9.99 @ Littlewoods Clearance

by Lynley Oram in Deals on 9 April, 2011 at 6:00 pm

Banzai Strike N Slide Bowling Water Game £9.99 @ Littlewoods ClearanceThere's nothing like a bit of cool water to freshen the kids up when it gets really hot. I am not a huge an of paddling pools as they get filled with mucky stuff. We don't have a garden suitable for this though, unfortunately. But someone will get a bargain. Littlewoods has this in their eBay clearance store for £9.99. The original RRP was £30.

I'm not sure how much the delivery is on this one. Apparently it is quite heavy so don't be surprised if you find delivery works out to £6 or £7.

The Strike 'n' Slide bowling game from Banzai will allow your child to become a human bowling ball. There's the choice of sliding down the 'alley, or cannonballing your way to a strike. Basically, it is a huge water slide - it is over 18 feet long. But just to give the children a bit of extra fun, it comes with the water bowling aspect, and includes six safe water filled pins.

The slide attaches to any garden hose, and the inflatable tunnel is included. The recommended age is from 5 years plus.

Thomas And Friends Luggage Set £11 @ Littlewoods

by Luschka van Onselen in Deals on 27 January, 2011 at 7:00 pm

Thomas And Friends Luggage Set £11 @ LittlewoodsA Thomas and Friends 4-piece luggage set is on sale at Littlewoods for £11.00, which is £19.00 off it's RRP of £30.00. There's also a 4-piece Disney Princess set for girls half price at £15.00.

The Thomas and Friends set features large graphics of Thomas with the logo “Built for speed”.

The luggage is ideal for school or nursery as well as overnight travel, and comprises a trolley bag, backpack, trainer bag and a wallet or purse.

The Disney Princesses are similar, with large graphics of the girls for decoration.

The reviews for the Thomas set at Argos are pretty good with an average 4.4 star rating – although there was a complaint about the handle breaking at the first use, most are very happy with the purchase and their children love it. And by the way,  if you love the idea of the (Thomas and Friends) 4-piece luggage set, but aren't that keen on Littlewoods, you can pay a little more at Argos and get it for £13.99.

Scooby-Doo Pirate Ship Game £6.50 @ Littlewoods

by Lynley Oram in Deals on 19 December, 2010 at 11:00 am

Scooby-Doo Pirate Ship Game £6.50 @ LittlewoodsMy son points at this game every time he sees an advert and asks for it. I wasn't going to get it though as it's low down on his present list, and frankly, he's got far too much plastic tat as it is. However at this price I'm tempted! Littlewoods has the Scooby-Doo Pirate Ship Game on offer for £6.50, marked down from £24.

Standard delivery is free, and the site says that it is still delivering in time for Christmas - there are just a few tricky areas. You can look these up on the website. It is also possible to arrange for collection at a store, which might be a better option. Yesterday I stood for over an hour at the local sorting office to pick up a parcel!

Do read the customer reviews before buying. Mostly people seem very happy with this item, but one reviewer had issues with its usability and quality of construction.

According to the website, the toy is clockwork powered. No, I'm not sure what that means either. But at least I don't have to buy batteries. Includes pop-ups, jumps, lifts, sweeps and traps. Doesn't say if you get any Scooby figures though, and I can't see any in the pictures. Just what's stuck on the pirate ship. Recommended age is from 3 years.

Ben 10 Alien Force Scooter PLUS! Hidden Extras £20.00 @ Littlewoods

by Luschka van Onselen in Deals on 18 December, 2010 at 7:00 pm

Ben 10 Alien Force Scooter PLUS! Hidden Extras £20.00 @ Littlewoods

A Ben 10 fan in the house? How much do you think he would love the Alien Force Scooter? And how much would you love saving £29.00 on it? That's right – the Ben 10 Alien Force Scooter is just £20.00 at Littlewoods.

Last week I made a super loser comment to my eight year old nephew saying something about his cool Ben 10 shirt. I was scornfully reproached and given a swathing lesson in Ben 10 chronology. All I can really tell you about it, is that there was a bad guy, and then some years passed and something happened, but what I do know is that it's not wise to confuse the two!

So this may sound a little like an infomercial, but here it is: If you buy this Ben 10 Alien Force Scooter, you receive a fab hidden bonus! The Ben 10 scooter has a secret pull-out compartment (see the drawer in the footrest in the picture? That's it. Shhhhh!).

The secret pull-out compartment is filled with eight authentic Ben 10 alien figures.

This very sneaky-smart way of getting exercise out of your child aged five and over, has a colour printed footplate, and folds easily for storage. It also has a rear footbrake and an adjustable handlebar height of 74cm – 84cm.

Hornby The Midland Flyer Train Set £45 @ Littlewoods

by Lynley Oram in Deals on 17 December, 2010 at 6:00 pm

Hornby The Midland Flyer Train Set £45 @ LittlewoodsA Hornby train set for £45? Brilliant bargain in my book! I love Hornby railways and cannot wait for son to be old enough. I wonder if I can convince the other half to convert the loft? But that's another post! Littlewoods has Hornby's The Midland Flyer Train set on sale for £45. The original price was £144.

The orginal poster of this deal on our sister site HUKD points out that realistically, £144 is inflated. Really you'd be able to get this for between £60 to £80, so this price is still a really good saving.

The Hornby Midland Flyer train set includes an 0-4-0 MR locomotive, a 12-ton vent van, Low mac and load, a teak 4-wheel coach, LWB open wagon and trackside accessories.

The set comes with enough 00 gauge track pieces to make an oval, plus a train controller. The track mat enables you to create a specific layout, that you can add to, or even create your own track layout.

Set out the track mat and fit together the Hornby 00 gauge track pieces, place your locomotive on to the track, couple up the wagons and attach the controller. Once you've had the fun of carefully piecing it all together, you can enjoy the fruits of your efforts and watch the miniature railway come to life.

Funville Board Games Half Price And BOGOF @ Littlewoods

by Tamsin Oxford in Deals on 5 December, 2010 at 4:00 pm

Funville Board Games Half Price And BOGOF @ Littlewoods

If you fancy getting some board games to play over the cold winter months, then this is the deal you’ve been waiting for. I am actually rather amazed by it. Littlewoods’ Funville games are all half price and they are also on a BOGOF deal so you get two games for £5 delivered for free. Awesome.

The games that you can get at Littlewoods that are included in this deal are quite varied and cover a broad range of ages. Who Am I, Doctor I’m In Trouble, Line Up 4, Ludo, The Sea Battle and Don’t Torment Me.

The selection isn’t that huge but they are selling like hotcakes so you can expect this to shrink even further if you don’t hurry. Even if none of these games appeal to your inner game person, why not nab them as stocking fillers for nieces and nephews?

Or perhaps these could be bunged into your Present Cupboard for the 2011 year of birthday parties that you are going to be attending. Either way, this is a great deal.

Character Hot Water Bottles £7 @ Littlewoods

by Tamsin Oxford in Deals on 26 November, 2010 at 12:00 pm

Character Hot Water Bottles £7 @ Littlewoods

Littlewoods are selling these rather adorable character hot water bottles for £7 each including free delivery (and free returns if you don’t like them when they arrive). These little guys could make lovely Christmas gifts for people who struggle with the winter cold.

The hot water bottles come as zebras, giraffes, leopards or tigers and look utterly scrummy. I am seriously thinking of investing in some of these because I am so cold right now I can barely type. What needs to be invented is a pair of gloves that you can type with but that also keep your hands warm all the time.

Anyway, I digress. The hot water bottles don’t have a lot of information attached to them, like how big they are or if they are washable, so I’ll have to leave that up to chance. Still, they are cute and at a very reasonable price thanks to the included delivery.

Sale On Wedding Dresses @ Littlewoods

by Tamsin Oxford in Deals on 18 October, 2010 at 3:00 pm

Sale On Wedding Dresses @ Littlewoods

As you’ve probably noticed, I have a bit of a thing for wedding dresses. This particular sale actually has some real beauties in it too. There is nothing worse than seeing SALE and discovering that the reason the dresses are on sale is because they are hideous. These wedding dresses from Littlewoods are actually lovely.

The Veronica Fishtail Jewel wedding dress is down to £180 with a saving of £120, and that dress is simple chic at its finest. Then there’s the Nicholas Millington full satin bridal dress that’s had £140 knocked off so it’s selling for £210. This dress is for someone who likes a bit of poof in their frock.

One of my favourites is the Nicholas Millington Belle which is a waterfall of fabric in layers and is down to £175, exactly half its original price. When I was first planning my wedding I was thinking of a red wedding dress, I love them, so I wish I’d seen the Ruby one they have on sale here for £140. It’s a stunner!

Ben 10 Drawing Projector £5 @ Littlewoods

by Tamsin Oxford in Deals on 20 June, 2010 at 3:00 pm

Ben 10 Drawing Projector £5 @ LittlewoodsFans of Ben 10 and creativity rejoice for Littlewoods have marked this rather fantabulous kit down from the original retail price of £18 to only £5 with a saving of £13. Most excellent indeed and a fantastic addition to the Present Cupboard.

Right, so this product lets you paint your favourite Ben 10 pictures using coloured technology projection. I have no idea what this means but it looks pretty awesome and is definitely something I’d like to have played with when I was a kid.

You get five crayons, five coloured pencils and four coloured discs included with the kit, along with 14 films which, I assume, are for drawing on or helping with the projections. There isn’t a lot of information about this product on the site but it looks cool!Ben 10 Drawing Projector £5 @ Littlewoods

Thanks to the massive price reduction, you’ll only be paying a fiver for what looks like a really expensive pressie. If you hand this out at the next birthday gig your kids go to, you’re going to well impress the mum in question.

Fairy Duvet Cover Set £12 @ LittlewoodsI find that my child is growing out of her bedding faster than I can keep up. The set is available in aqua and includes a duvet cover and a pillow case for a single bed. It’s made from cotton and polyester and is machine washable. Kidspace Cool cabin bed 67% off £79 @ Littlewoods

by Tamsin Oxford in Deals on 31 December, 2009 at 2:00 pm

Kidspace Cool cabin bed 67% off £79 @ LittlewoodsIf you’re looking to redecorate your kids rooms or add some new furniture then this deal may grab your attention. Littlewoods have marked down this cabin bed from £239.99 to £79.00, with a saving of £160.

The bed has to be assembled and comes in at 76.7cm high, 97.5cm wide and 196cm long. The mattresses are not included in the deal but there are some great special offers on mattresses right now so you could potentially get both for a good price.

Currently the only colour available is light walnut and the bed comes with drawers included. I’m going to be honest here, considering the reviews the product has had I’m thinking that it should have retailed at the current price not the £200 odd it originally sold for. Kidspace Cool cabin bed 67% off £79 @ Littlewoods

All the reviewers suggest that the bed is extremely heavy and difficult to assemble. I would advise starting out with the bed positioned against the wall right from the start so you don’t pull a muscle moving it into position when you’re done. Check out the reviews on the site before you buy.
