Lamaze Musical Inch Worm £7.90 @ Amazon

by Sarah Macdonald in Deals on 1 April, 2013 at 9:00 am

Lamaze Musical Inch Worm £7.90 @ AmazonAmazon are selling this Lamaze Musical Inch Worm for £7.90 - his usual price is £14.99.

I've had a soft spot for all things Lamaze ever since my mum bought my youngest son a Lamaze Octotunes for his first Christmas - we all still have fun trying to play Three Blind Mice on her tentacles today <---- sad, maybe, but true.

If I was in the market for a Lamaze toy today then I'd definitely be drawn to this Lamaze Musical Inch Worm - for starters, he just looks CUTE!  He features all of the usual bright colours, and different sounds, crinkles, squeaks and rattles that we all expect from Lamaze.

He also has measurements on the underside of his belly so you can keep track of your little one's growth, up to 60 cm. He also plays 'If You're Happy and You Know It Clap Your Hands' when his head is hugged.

He has some lovely reviews too:

The inchworm (I call it snake or caterpillar) is rather great. It matches all of our other La Maze stuff and is well made with interesting fabric on each of the worm's segments. Our daughter loved it back when she was little and still loves it.

This is the second Inchworm I buy as present. The toy is suitable for babies but it is also fun for toddlers, so it works really well asa newborn gift for families with more than one child. The texture is really soft and the musical parts guarantees hours of fun. I would buy it again!

All of the usual Amazon delivery options are available to you - I'm sure you all know what they are by now, but just in case: FREEEE with the SuperSaver option, or various extra pounds for super speedy delivery.

Lamaze Musical Inchworm £8.92 @ Amazon

Lamaze Musical Inchworm £8.92 @ Amazon

Amazon have a Lamaze Musical Inchworm for sale for £8.92 instead of £14.99, saving 40%

The Lamaze Musical Inchworm is a fun toy designed to entertain and stimulate baby with contrasting colours, patterns and pleasing sounds to develop baby's senses. It is made from high-quality velour fabric, and has fun rattles, squeaks, crinkles and jingles with interesting textures to touch and chew.s

It also plays 'If You're Happy and You Know It Clap Your Hands' when the worm's head is hugged although one reviewer says the battery for that runs down pretty quickly and there seems to be no way at all to replace the battery.

The blurb says that you can keep track of baby's growth up to 60cm with the length markers, but that wouldn't be of use to my babies who were both born not far off!

This toy can be used as a comforter and is easy to grip, shake rattle and jingle. The legs are good for chewing on, and the Inchworm can be tied to a cot or pram.

Lamaze Spin And Explore The Garden Baby Gym

by Sarah Macdonald in Deals on 8 October, 2012 at 9:00 am

Lamaze Spin And Explore The Garden Baby GymTesco are currently selling this Lamaze Spin and Explore The Garden baby gym for half price - £12.97 instead of £24.94.

I've written about this Lamaze Spin and Explore the Garden baby gym on more than one occasion; every time I'm reminded about just how good Lamaze products are, you really can't go wrong with them.

The Lamaze Spin and Explore the Garden baby gym isn't your standard baby gym, as the 'spin' part of the name suggests, it has an additional spinning element that allows your baby to turn 360 degrees and explore every aspects of the colourful play mat beneath them.

The mat is bright, colourful and has all the features you can expect from Lamaze: crinkles, squeakers, rattles and different textures to delight the senses.

The spinning 'turntable' will help to improve upper and lower body strength too; the reviews I've read about the spinner suggest it can take a little while for young babies to a) get the hang of and b) start to enjoy, but once they do they LOVE it!  If your child really hates it however, it can be removed

You can pop into Tesco and collect your Lamaze Spin and Explore the Garden baby gym for free, or you can pay an additional £3 and have it delivered to your front door.

Discounts On Lamaze Toys @ Amazon

by Luschka van Onselen in Deals on 21 August, 2012 at 7:00 pm

Discounts On Lamaze Toys @ AmazonThere are a couple of discounted Lamaze toys at Amazon at the moment, with discounts ranging from 9 to 35%. While none of the discounts are amazing, if you're buying a few toys, it'll quickly add up.

It seems Lamaze pretty much has the market cornered on the new baby toys scene, especially in mainstream parenting. I don't think there's a mum at a baby group I go to that doesn't have at least one toy and just before my baby was born, we were given a bag full from someone else whose baby had outgrown theirs.

For good reason too, I guess - they have bold and contrasting colours for babies, and fun things to rattle, crinkle, chew on and grab. There's a host of different toys available, so at least you don't have to have exactly the same as everyone else in your group.

Lamaze Stacking Rings £12.86 @ Amazon

by Luschka van Onselen in Deals on 9 June, 2012 at 11:00 am

Lamaze Stacking Rings £12.86 @ Amazon

There’s a lovely 42% off the Lamaze Stacking Rings at Amazon on at the moment, reducing this fun baby toy from a rather painful £21.99 to a much more palatable £12.86.

While I’ll take a wooden toy over a plastic one any day of the week, I do really like the look of the Lamaze Stacking Rings. They’re brilliant for encouraging early fine motor skill development (by stacking and by putting the spike into the hole). They also have loads of sensory attachments, perfect for stimulating babies.

Then it goes all over the top and spins when baby has stacked them all together, and plays music to boot. But fortunately, it has an on/off button, if you’re worried about overstimulation! The different sensory bits are billed by the product description as being “different colourful ribbons so can also be used as individual toys for extended play”.

This toy is suited to babies nine months and over.

Lamaze Space Symphony Motion Gym £39.99 @ Amazon

by Luschka van Onselen in Deals on 23 April, 2012 at 7:00 pm

Lamaze Space Symphony Motion Gym £39.99 @ Amazon

There’s a very nice 38% discount on the Lamaze Space Symphony Motion Gym reducing this £64.99 play gym to £39.99.

I’m always on about play gym’s it seems, possibly because I’m constantly searching for the ‘best’ one. We have two now, and they’re still not quite hitting the spot! I’ve not seen this Space Symphony Motion Gym before, but it’s pretty cool!

I love the colours on this one. They’re not stereotypical, but are bold and funky. It has suspending arms above the baby, bringing the toys to life while promoting visual tracking. The toys are totally different and unusual, featuring fun cosmic-themed toys and music.

There are bright, contrasting colours, rattles, squeaks and crinkles, different textures to grip and grab and lovable characters to inspire pretend play, down the line.

Lamaze Octivity Time £12.88 @ Amazon

by Sarah Macdonald in Deals on 5 March, 2012 at 11:00 am

Lamaze Octivity Time £12.88 @ AmazonI'm completely in love with this Lamaze Octivity Time toy and at £12.88 rather than £16.99 you can love it for less money, and as it's an Amazon Deal of the Week the price is guaranteed until 11.59pm on Sunday.

I don't just love this Lamaze Octivity Time octopus, I love almost everything Lamaze and with good reason: their toys are all designed to easily engage with babies of various ages, bring out their natural curiosity to discover things and, in the process, help to develop a range of skills and stimulate senses.

There are 10 activities for your little one to explore with their Lamaze Octivity Time - from crinkly textures, to soft and velvety tenticles, rattles, bells and squeaks.  It also features a mirror, teething ring and clicky rings too.

Suitable for little tots aged six months and over, here's what some existing owners have to say about their Lamaze Octivity Tunes...

"This is my first ever review but felt i had to submit since this is one of the best presents we ever got for our baby. Since he was 6 weeks old he loved it and now at 5 months the novelty doesn't seem to be wearing off. it is much brighter then in the photo. you won't be disappointed."

"Lots of colours and activities. My baby is only 3 months so a bit young for this toy yet, but I love it."

"I bought this for my 5 months old girl and she absolutely loves it. I can really recommend this. Great buy"

Well, there's not much I can add to those other than happy Lamaze crinkling and rattling!

Lamaze Gardenbug Wrist Rattle And Footfinder Set £4.49 @ Amazon

by Luschka van Onselen in Deals on 1 March, 2012 at 7:00 pm

Lamaze Gardenbug Wrist Rattle And Footfinder Set £4.49 @ Amazon

These super cute Lamaze Gardenbug Wrist Rattle and Footfinder sets are reduced from £12.99 to £4.49 at Amazon, including delivery.  That’s a lovely 65% saving and a very good price for Lamaze items.

To be honest, I tend to avoid Lamaze most of the time, as I hate walking into other people’s houses and seeing the exact same thing as we have at home. That said, they do have some super cute products, and I haven’t actually seen these before… and at this price, I’m wondering if it’s something my (hopefully) soon to be baby will ‘need’.  Of course, that’s just cause I think they’re cute and want it!

These are lovable characters which inspire pretend play and apparently enhance social skills. Wearing these are meant to encourage discovery of body parts and limbs and develop hand-eye coordination. Either way they have bright patterns and faces and come in sets of four.

I don’t know if they do much of anything other than perhaps provide moments of entertainment, but they are cute – especially the feet!

Lamaze Sir-Prance-A-Lot £5.44 @ Amazon

by Sarah Macdonald in Deals on 15 November, 2011 at 9:00 am

Lamaze Sir-Prance-A-Lot £5.44 @ AmazonHere's another smashing Lamaze deal for you - Amazon are selling Lamaze Sir-Prance-A-Lot for £5.44 instead of £9.99; I'd buy him simply because of his awesome name alone!

I'm not sure what else I can tell you about Lamaze that I haven't already told you before, so I might just pretend you've had a sudden attack of amnesia and go over it all again.

Lamaze make the most amazing toys for babies, and little children, which have all been specially designed to encourage inquisitive play and the development of all the major senses - apart from taste, although I suppose your child will find out Lamaze toys don't really taste of anything much if they put them in their mouths *grin*

Lamaze toys are always brightly coloured, often with contrasting patterns, and features various textures and sounds - soft or smooth, crinkly and squeaky - you really won't go wrong with any Lamaze toy.

Lamaze Sir-Prance-A-Lot is no exception and he's got some great reviews...

"This was our first Lamaze play & grow purchase and I was so impressed that I ordered two more 'designs' for my son and my niece. Lots of colours and textures of material to explore; the legs are perfect for little hands to grab and the feet seem to be good for chomping!"

"Fantastic and colourful there great quality and really lovely, my daughter loves it so ive brought some more. My little one is only 6wks but always stares and calms down when we play with them with her. Wish these had been around when i had my first."

There's no delivery to pay if you choose the SuperSaver option so there's plenty of time for Lamaze Sir-Prance-A-Lot to arrive in time to wrap and give him as a Christmas present.

Lamaze Lights And Sounds Wrap And Go Flower £6.99 @ Amazon

by Sarah Macdonald in Deals on 18 October, 2011 at 9:00 am

Lamaze Lights And Sounds Wrap And Go Flower £6.99 @ AmazonThe original price for this Lamaze Lights and Sounds Wrap and Go Flower is £14.99; Amazon have reduced it, temporarily, down to £6.99.

If you're a regular visitor to PlayPennies then you might have worked out that I am a HUGE fan of anything Lamaze.

My youngest son was given a Lamaze Octotunes and the entire family became smitten, even going as far as naming the musical octopus 'Lamaisy' - all things Lamaze are now referred to as 'Lamaisey toys' in my household.

Lamaze toys (did you 'hear' Lamaisey in your head then...?) are just fabulous for little ones who are just beginning to discover the world around them.

They are brightly coloured, they crinkle, they rattle, they have different textures and make other sounds, all of which helps develop your baby's senses; marvellous.

The Lamaze Lights and Sounds Wrap and Go Flower is suitable from birth onwards and has a flashlight feature for extra visual sensory delight.

The flower stalk bends too so you can easily attach it to the side of the cot, by wrapping it round the rails, or to car seats and carriers.

The three AAA batteries it needs are also included.

Lamaze Spin And Explore The Sea Baby Gym £24.99 @ Amazon

by Sarah Macdonald in Deals on 8 August, 2011 at 11:00 am

Lamaze Spin And Explore The Sea Baby Gym £24.99 @ AmazonAmazon are selling this Lamaze Spin and Explore The Sea baby gym for £24.99, instead of £34.99.

You really can’t go wrong with anything Lamaze, they might be a bit more expensive than their alternatives but they’re certainly worth it.

I am such a fan of Lamaze things and ever since the Lamaze octopus my youngest has was renamed ‘Lamaisy’ that’s the only way I can pronounce them (instead of Lamars or Lamaise); regardless of which you choose to call them, you can’t fault the quality and educational/entertainment value of their products.

Lamaze have put a new spin on baby gyms with their Lamaze Spin and Explore The Sea baby gym; it has a spinning turntable in the middle which allows your little one to be able to twizzle themselves around, when they’re old enough, and explore the different sections of the mat.

The tummy time spinner isn't a gimmick, it encourages physical development as your baby works to strengthen upper and lower body muscles and it can be removed if a) your child doesn't get on with it in the beginning or b) when tummy time is a thing of the past and they're on to the next phase.

The mat itself is bright, colourful featuring lots of different seaside creatures and has all the features you can expect from Lamaze: crinkles, squeakers, rattles and different textures.

This is an Amazon deal of the week so the £24.99 is valid all this week.

Happy spinning and exploring the sea!

Lamaze Spin And Explore Baby Gym £20.49 @ Amazon

by Sarah Macdonald in Deals on 27 April, 2011 at 11:00 am

Lamaze Spin And Explore Baby Gym £20.49 @ AmazonYou really won’t go wrong with this Lamaze Spin and Explore Baby Gym for a tiny tot this summer.

It can be a bit like playing Russian Roulette writing Amazon deals these days – they're messing around with their pricing on almost a minute by minute basis it seems - BUT the price on this Lamaze Spin and Explore Baby Gym is fixed until the close of play on Sunday night; hurrah!

Lamaze have put a new spin on baby gyms with their Lamaze Spin and Explore Garden Gym – it has a spinning turntable in the middle which allows your little one to be able to twizzle themselves around, when they’re old enough, and explore the different sections of the mat.

The mat itself is bright, colourful and has all the features you can expect from Lamaze: crinkles, squeakers, rattles and different textures to delight the senses.

The turntable action will help to improve upper and lower body strength too; the reviews I’ve read about the spinning element, on the whole, seem to suggest that it can take a little while for young babies to a) get the hang of and b) start to enjoy, but once they do they LOVE it!

The turntable on the Lamaze Spin and Explore can be removed if your child really does’t get on with it, or when they’re old enough to sit up and will want to crawl around instead spin.

Happy Spinning!

Lamaze Pyramid Play House Baby Gym £29.96

by Sarah Macdonald in Deals on 23 March, 2011 at 11:00 am

Lamaze Pyramid Play House Baby Gym £29.96Amazon are currently selling this Lamaze Pyramid Play House baby gym for less than half price - £29.96 instead of £64.99.

You really can't go wrong with anything Lamaze, they might be a bit more expensive than their alternatives but they're certainly worth it.

The Lamaze Pyramid Play House baby gym will last you a long time too as it transforms with each stage of baby’s development providing more ways to play.

It features a double-sided cushioned play mat which quickly folds to create an engaging environment with soft side walls, it's wipe clean and machine washable too - VERY important.

Other features include little boy and girl dolls to encourage imaginative role play.  There's the obligatory tummy time mirror for self-discovery and a baby activated sun with lights  and music which is stimulates visual tracking.

The sun has two music modes: baby activated or continuous play and it can also be attached to a stroller bar for amusement whilst out and about.

Of course the Lamaze Pyramid Play House baby gym wouldn't be very Lamaze without the rattle, crinkle, and squeaky soft shapes which make learning colors and shapes fun.

The gym folds for easy storage and portability and it requires 3 AAA batteries which aren't included (booo!).

Happy lazing around with Lamaze!

PS - if you get here only to discover Amazon have put the price up, go to Tesco Direct and keep your fingers crossed they still have one in stock as they're selling for the same price there.

Lamaze Sir Prance-A-Lot £6.46 @ Amazon

by Sarah Macdonald in Deals on 5 January, 2011 at 8:00 am

Lamaze Sir Prance-A-Lot £6.46 @ AmazonAhhhhh amazing Lamaze toys!

They trigger such fond memories of tiny baby days for me and this Lamaze Sir Prance-A-Lot would have been a welcome addition to our Lamaze family of toys.

Lamaze, I’m sure, should be pronounced ‘La-mars’ or as it’s written ‘La-maze’, but in my household it very quickly became pronounced La-maisy – I can’t remember why, I just know that I can’t pronounce it any other way now.

If you’ve never come across Lamaze toys (did you hear/pronounce that as La-maisy then..?) then you’ve been missing out! They are simply some of the most awesome developmental toys for babies and young children, EVER.

Lamaze have been around for a long time and conducted a ton of research into what makes babies tick, the developmental stages they go through and designed their toys accordingly. We had an Octopus for my youngest and he adored it.

They aren’t always the cheapest toys in the world to buy, but they are worth every penny and with Amazon's deal on this Lamaze Sir Prance-A-Lot you'll save more than a few pennies - he should be £9.99 but you can pick him up for £6.46 (as long as Amazon leave his price alone for a while).

He's cute, he rattles, he squeaks, he crinkles and your little one will love him!

Lamaze Elephant £4.99 @ Amazon

by Sarah Macdonald in Deals on 21 November, 2010 at 9:00 am

Lamaze Elephant £4.99 @ AmazonThis Lamaze Elephant is just CUTE!

The lovely Lamaze Elephant has all the things you can expect from a Lamaze toy: firstly, he's CUTE! Then he has the necessary elements to stimulate your child’s senses and encourage their development.

Lamaze Elephant has bright contrasting colours for visual stimulus, different textures to grip which develop your baby’s motor skills along with a squeaky tummy, "clinky" rings and a knotted tail.

Reviews for him are worthy of Oscar nominee with glowing 5 stars reviews all over the place.

"This is absolutely gorgeous. It is made from different textered materials, has a squeaky tummy, rattle rings, a teething disc and crinkly ears and feet. An entertaining toy for a reasonable amount of money. It was also much bigger than I expected it to be."

"Good value for a lovely toy. My daughter loves it. She's 5 months old and loves the crinkly ears the most. She talks to it as well (in baby language obviously)and is very vocal as a result haha. Personally, I was very surprised as it's bigger than what I thought it would be and is very colourful. 10/10 I'll be purchasing the other toys in the collection soon."

This Lamaze Elephant usually retails for £6.99 and has a couple of quid knocked off at the moment, making him £4.99 - even without the small discount I'd still say he was definitely worth the money.

Lamaze Spin and Explore Garden Gym £17.51 @ Amazon

by Sarah Macdonald in Deals on 9 November, 2010 at 8:00 am

Lamaze Spin and Explore Garden Gym £17.51 @ AmazonYou really won't go wrong with this Lamaze Spin and Explore Garden Gym for a tiny tot this Christmas.

It can be a bit like playing Russian Roulette writing Amazon deals these days - they're messing around with their pricing on almost a minute by minute basis it seems.

In fact, before I even finish writing this the fabulous £17.51, instead of £33.99, price for this Lamaze Spin and Explore Garden Gym could have changed *sigh*

BUT, Lamaze products are so good I've decided to take a punt on this one because, quite frankly, even if it does go up in price it's still going to be worth buying!

Lamaze have put a new spin on baby gyms with their Lamaze Spin and Explore Garden Gym - it has a spinning turntable in the middle which allows your little one to be able to twizzle themselves around, when they're old enough, and explore the different sections of the mat.

The mat itself is bright, colourful and has all the features you can expect from Lamaze: crinkles, squeakers, rattles and different textures to delight the senses.

The turntable on the Lamaze Spin and Explore can be removed if your child really does't get on with it, or when they're old enough to sit up and will want to crawl around instead spin.

Lamaze Balancing Bug Stacker £6.40 @ Amazon

by Sarah Macdonald in Deals on 25 September, 2010 at 11:00 am

Lamaze Balancing Bug Stacker £6.40 @ AmazonI'm not sure who enjoyed playing with stacking toys most, me or the kids!

I wonder how many hours of my life I've spent playing with stacking cups and balancing toys like this Lamaze Balancing Bug stacker?

It's amazing how much fun can be had by seeing how many things you can tower one on top of the other before they fall over. No batteries, no flashing lights just good hand-eye coordination and fits of giggles when everything comes crashing down.

I really like these Balancing Bugs from Lamaze - true to form, they're brightly coloured so making them attractive to tiny people and will stimulate their senses, but they have a little 'more' too.

Each bug has a unique rattle so when they come tumbling down there'll be a cacophony of 'noise' - this is the reward for piling them high so the desire to stack again is increased and the more it's done, the more hand-eye coordination and motor skills are developed.

Lamaze Balancing Bug Stacker £6.40 @ AmazonTo help this along a little, each bug has a magnet inside so the stacking-and-staying power is increased which helps prevent your little one getting frustrated and bored when they get started and are getting the hang of it all.

Amazon have reduced these little beauties from £9.99 down to £6.40 and, according to the many happy reviews I've read, they're worth every penny and then some!

Free delivery as always with the SuperSaver deal - lovely.

Lamaze Play & Grow Lion £4.99 @ Amazon

by Lynley Oram in Deals on 27 April, 2010 at 12:30 pm

I absolutely loved the Lamaze toys that my son had as a baby, and so did he. The colours, the different textures, the bits that made noises – they’re sensory heaven for little ones. The Lamaze Play and Grow Lion is at half price on Amazon right now, marked down from £9.99 to £4.99. For a penny under a fiver you really can’t go wrong, especially as it costs nothing for delivery (provided you use the super saver option). Also ideal for gift buying – you can be the favourite aunt, uncle or friend without having to spend wads of cash.

Lamaze Play & Grow Lion £4.99 @ Amazon "Logon," to give this little leonine friend its proper Lamaze name, has lots of the sorts of interactive, developmental features (or just plain fun, from the babies perspective) you will have come to expect from the brand. For a bit of noisy fun, Logon has a tummy squeaker, and clinky rings on this legs. These rings are also bobbled or textured in different ways to provide various touch sensations for the baby. And of course, if they’re anything like my son, they’ll come in handy for lots of gumming action too.

There’s also a knotted tail, which many babies find highly pleasurable to play through their chubby little fingers as they come to terms with their tiny bodies and learn how to control their actions.

Finally, it has that all important feature that makes Lamaze toys as popular with parents as with babies - a link to attach it to baby gym or more importantly, a pushchair or car seat. Anything that keeps them amused without mum or dad constantly having to retrieve it from the ground is always a good thing!
