Quinny Senzz Puschair £149.99 @ Kiddicare

by Tamsin Oxford in Deals on 31 January, 2012 at 6:00 pm

Quinny Senzz Puschair £149.99 @ Kiddicare

Kiddicare has marked the Quinny Senzz pushchair down from £435.00 to only £149.99 which is an astonishing saving of well over 50% and well over £200. I am gutted that I don’t need this. I feel like such a good deal needs to be bought.

The Quinny Senzz pushchair is bedecked in the colour they call “Flame” which I rather like – a grey, black and orange combination that’s rather gender neutral and looks pretty zesty to me. Then again I love orange so perhaps that is just me.

The Quinny Senzz set comes with a carrycot, footmuff, raincover and car seat adaptors and is suitable from six months old. IF you use it with the Maxi-Cosi Cabriofix or Pebble carseat which is not included then it can be used from birth.

The Quinny Senzz has an adjustable back rest, one hand easy folding, padded seating and a carry handle. In short it is pretty much everything you need to get your baby kit up and running.

Krooom Toys Review

by Lynley Oram in Reviews on 24 January, 2012 at 1:00 pm

Krooom Toys ReviewI still have flat packed shelving I bought when my son was born six years ago that I haven't put together. This doesn't bode well for a flat packed toy! Which is what the playsets from Kroom Toys are. I really did have to try these out though, as they are absolutely everything I have ever wanted in a toy. Joy of joys, they're not made of plastic.

Kroom make products that are eco-friendly. Everything is made from 60% recycled card and all the products are also fully recyclable.

There's a whole range of stuff for children, including storage boxes, play sets and toys. Importantly, the toys look like they're a lot of fun. The toys are distributed in the UK by Little Helper, and you can also buy them directly from their website.

I received the Noah's Ark and Dylan Fire Station to try out. The Noah's Ark playset has an RRP of £24.99. The Dylan Fire Station also has an RRP of £24.99. Delivery on the site costs from £1.99, depending on the size and weight of the items.

January Sales Baby Bargains

by Lynley Oram in Features on 19 January, 2012 at 1:00 pm

January Sales Baby BargainsIt is January. You probably already noticed that. Hard to miss it when all the telltale signs are there. Grey skies, dark afternoons and empty bank accounts. Another clue is all the signs up announcing January sales. Although that's not quite as much an indicator as it used to be. Nowadays, the January sales seem to start in December.

However, here we are coming into the tail end of the sales, and anything that is left is going to go bargain basement. Also, there are stores that do GASP start their sales in January, and others that refresh the stock in the sale section each week. Here's a roundup of the big retailers of baby stuff who are still running sales. Boots, for example, have finished their sales so we've not included them here. Likewise, JoJo Maman Bebe still has its sale section, but the winter sale with up to 75% off seems to be finished now.

The same with the Mothercare Clearance shop, although the usual reductions you'll find year round are in there so it is still worth having a look. Such as the 50% Off Top Products section.

Snack Highchair £29.90 @ Kiddicare

by Luschka van Onselen in Deals on 25 December, 2011 at 7:00 pm

Snack Highchair £29.90 @ Kiddicare

Kiddicare have started their sales early and one of the items you can pick up for half price is the Snack Highchair for just £29.90 instead of £60.

The Snack highchairs are available in Green, Red, and Purple apples, Sapphire blue, Meadow green, Amethyst purple, and Daisy yellow – which are all fabulous unisex colours. There are plenty items in stock – the Green Apples highchair, for example has over 800 in stock!

The Snack Highchairs are suitable from 6 months of age, and have a full safety harness and padded seating in high quality PVC. They wipe clean, as does the plastic tray.  There’s a foot rest for dangly feet too and what looks like non-slip grips on the legs of the chair.

When not in use they are pretty compact folding away quite flat, making them easy to store behind a sofa or door.

Annoyingly you have to spend another .09p to qualify for free delivery, but there are near on 600 items for under £5 if you want to top up your spend on something useful, rather than paying the £4.95 for delivery.

Grobag 2.5 Tog Sleeping Bag £14.99 @ Kiddicare

by Tamsin Oxford in Deals on 30 October, 2011 at 6:00 pm

Grobag 2.5 Tog Sleeping Bag £14.99 @ Kiddicare

This is a pretty good deal from Kiddicare with a branded GroBag 2.5 tog sleeping bag marked down from £26 to £14, a nice saving of half the original price. These are really an excellent invention for parents of wriggling babies.

The Grobag 2.5 tog sleeping bag is for 0-6 months and is a wearable blanket that will keep baby at a comfortable temperature all night long. Now my daughter used to be utterly mad when it came to kicking off her blankets which was hard in winter as she’d keep waking up. These Grobags saved us!

The Grobag has a front zip with a feature called Zip-click (not sure what that is as I bought a generic baby sleeping bag), it has 100% needlecord cotton on the outside and super-soft jersey cotton on the insider and the set comes with a nursery room thermometer.

You can wash it in your washing machine and I am not sure what colours it comes in so it may well be pot luck!

Red Kite Klip On Mobile £4.99 @ Kiddicare.com

by Lynley Oram in Deals on 1 October, 2011 at 4:00 pm

Red Kite Klip On Mobile £4.99 @ Kiddicare.comI always found when out and about that just being out and about was entertainment enough for baby. My neice on the other hand was always needing something to play with when in her pram. Even the shortest journey would a nightmare if you forgot to pop a toy in there. And of course the first thing she'd do is throw it out, so having a clip on toy was an absolutely necessity. Reduced to half price, at £4.99 the Red Kite Klip On Mobile is worth taking a chance on. Especially if you don't know whether your baby will want toys in the pram or not!

The Red Kite mobile is described on the website as a "bright and cheerful mobile toy". It  clips onto surfaces and has a brightly coloured pig design to it. the mobile also has a safe mirror and three hanging toys with hidden rattles, crinkles and squeaks.

It clips onto car seats, prams etc with the clip attached, and is suitable from birth upwards.

Nearly all eight reviews on the site give this a five star rating. Typical comments include "This is great just clips on the pram or cot, so can be used with baby's activity play gym. Very colourful, with lots of things on it for baby to play with as they get older."

One reviewer does just give it three stars though. "It hangs too far down when put on the car seat bouncer, it becomes too much in my babies face which he doesn't like as it blocks his view." So it may depend on the configuration of your pram.

Classic Cot White £82 @ Kiddicare

by Tamsin Oxford in Deals on 28 September, 2011 at 3:00 pm

Classic Cot White £82 @ Kiddicare

Kiddicare is selling their classic white cot along with a mattress for only £81.99. This is a really good price for a cute little cot that should fit any nursery at a really good price when it includes a mattress.

The Kiddicare classic cot is quite simple and practical with a two position base and open slatted sides and ends for better visibility. The mattress is a foam base so should be nice and comfy for baby and the dimensions for the cot are 90x59.5x124cm and for the mattress 117x53cm.

The mattress is fully breathable with an easy care cover that can be unzipped and washed in your machine. This is a fantastic price for all this really, I wish I’d seen deals like this when I was stocking my nursery as it cost a fortune to get everything ready for baby.

The deal is going to be running until around 5pm today so nab it while it’s hot!

Sunshine Kids Seat Warmer £4.99 @ Kiddicare

by Tamsin Oxford in Deals on 19 September, 2011 at 3:00 pm

Sunshine Kids Seat Warmer £4.99 @ Kiddicare

Kiddicare is selling the Sunshine Kids seat warmer for £4.99 when the usual RRP is £19.99. This is a rather lovely discount that will certainly make some parents happy. Me? I don’t get why you need one, but hey, not everyone is the same.

The Sunshine Kids seat warmer will make that booster seat nice and toasty for little bums. It is perfect for an older child in cold winter travel on either a booster seat or a vehicle seat. It plugs into any vehicle 12v socket and has an automatic seven minute shut-off to avoid overheating.

The fabric is water resistant and the cord long enough to plug into the front of the vehicle. There are not many left so if you want one, you had better go and nab it now.

This entire idea amuses me no end as I honestly do not see the point but I know people with seat warmers built into their seats and they love them, so why not!

Baby Weavers Expedition Backpack £39.99 @ Kiddicare

by Tamsin Oxford in Deals on 6 September, 2011 at 6:00 pm

Baby Weavers Expedition Backpack £39.99 @ Kiddicare

We bought one of these when our daughter was a mere sapling high and used it about two times before it disappeared and gathered dust somewhere. She really did prefer walking. However, for those of you who love to hike and walk and gambol through fields and who have offspring that don’t, then this is the perfect deal for you.

What you have here is a Baby Weavers Expedition backpack on sale for £39.99 instead of the usual £99.99, a saving of 60%. Nice. You can nab a backpack in one of two colours – black or poppy. I like the poppy colour, how wonderfully bright. And more likely to be seen on a gloomy day.

The backpack is suitable for babies from six months until toddlers aged four. It has storage space, adjustable straps to match each parent, padded hip and shoulder pads, air mesh lining, plenty of pockets, a padded hammock bum rest for baby, rain and wind flaps, and is foldable for travel.

We had this exact model and it was ace. Especially the water storage bit as I would be gasping and hacking after about 20 mins of heavy baby and heavy walking…

Bugaboo Series On Sale @ Kiddicare

by Tamsin Oxford in Deals on 29 May, 2011 at 6:00 pm

Bugaboo Series On Sale @ Kiddicare

The Bugaboo range of pushchairs are, in my opinion, ridiculously overpriced. I am honestly not sure why you would spend upwards of £1000 on a stroller when one for £100 will do. However, there are many Bugaboo fans out there and these discounts should make them quite happy.

The Bugaboo Bee Plus Stroller in dark khaki, yellow, red, blue, black and pink, has had 10% take off by Kiddicare for a time. Down from the region of £450 to £412.39, you are saving some money off these expensive toys. You can also get an extra £10 taken off by using the voucher code on the site.

Just click on the £10 Off button and you’ll get the instructions you need to take the price of the Bugaboo Bee Plus Stroller down to £402.

The Bugaboo apparently answers the call of the modern, mobile parent with a compact and nimble stroller that grows with your children from newborn to toddler. It is slim enough to navigate tight spots and compact folds to fit into taxis or closets with ease.

If you add in the baby cocoon then it can be comfortably used for teeny newborns too. And this deal for the Bugaboo cameleon package is really good - you save £200!

Kiddicare Super-Tarmac Car Seat Review

by Luschka van Onselen in Reviews on 9 May, 2011 at 5:00 pm

Kiddicare Super-Tarmac Car Seat Review

Car seats have been the bane of my existence since my daughter’s birth.  We have used five different seats over the last 19 months and still, every car journey is a nightmare, involving screaming, clawing, begging and sobbing (her) and heartache, frustration and tears (me). That may sound extreme, but when you’re doing 70 miles an hour down the motorway and the child you strapped in as tightly as you could without bruising her pops her head out between the front seats saying ‘mummy!’ and her arms and legs are blood-red from where she’s squirmed, contorted and twisted her way out the car seat, you start dreading driving anywhere.

So, I decided that even though she’s only 19 months, it’s time to move away from the bucket seats and get a ‘proper’ car chair. I spent hours trying to find something suitable and finally ordered an own brand chair from Kiddicare. The Super-Tarmac Car Seat arrived within a couple of days (and I received an email on the day to tell me they’d be with me between 9:02 and 10:02 – they turned up at 9:09) and was carefully packaged, without excess stuffing and everything could be recycled, which I liked.

The chair is magnificent. It was really easy to install, with easy to follow picture instructions and labels on the chair itself.  It is high enough that my daughter can see out the window, which has made a remarkable difference to our driving journey as she can be entertained with a baby version of “I spy with my little eye, something…. “.

The Super-Tarmac car seat is suitable for little ones from 9kg to 36kg, or 9 months to 11 years, making it a group 1, 2 and 3 car seat.  It is forward facing using the car’s 3-point seat belt, and comes with its own 5-point safety harness, with chest and crotch pads. There’s a height-adjustable head-rest, and padded arm rests. Considering its size, it is surprisingly light and should fit most vehicles.  And since it’ll be with you for a while, it’s good to know it also has a washable seat cover.

And, the best part? We did a 4-hour round trip the day after the Super-Tarmac Car Seat arrived, and despite a little squirming, a lot of straining against the straps and a bit of a tantrum, she could not get out of it. Despite feeling gutted that she’s so miserable being restrained in a car seat (which is understandable – I hate even the seatbelt), I was inwardly jubilant that she was safe and secure. In fact, in 19 months of driving with her, it’s the first time I’ve actually felt totally confident in her safety.

Cow & Gate Baby Food 29p @ Kiddicare

Kiddicare is selling Cow & Gate baby food starting from as little as 29p a jar. The Stage 1 series of Cow & Gate baby food is the cheapest and if you buy three or more you can also use the discount code below to snatch an extra 5% off the final price.

The Cow & Gate baby balance series is included in the sale with recipes such as Creamy Chicken and Carrot, Potato and Leek all being as little as 29p a bottle. Super-Tarmac Car Seat £29.97 @ Kiddicare

by Luschka van Onselen in Deals on 29 April, 2011 at 9:00 pm

Super-Tarmac Car Seat £29.97 @ Kiddicare

The Super-Tarmac car seat is just over half-price at Kiddicare, selling at £29.97 instead of £60 and for the duration of the weekend – when the offer ends too – delivery is free.

We’ve been scouring the web for a new car seat as our little girl has grown taller than her chair and pretty much hates the bucket seat. This Super-Tarmac seat from Kiddicare is suitable for children 9 months to 11 years, or 9 – 36 kg.

The Super-Tarmac seat fixes into the vehicle forward facing with the cars 3-point seat belt. The car seat comes complete with a 5-point safety harness and chest and crotch pads, it has a height adjustable head-rest so it will grow with your child and padded arm rests for your child's comfort whilst travelling. The seat is lightweight and will fit most vehicles.

It also has a washable cover. As it’s our first ever child-seat purchase, I’m rather influenced by the views of others on it, and with 81 reviewers giving this seat 4.5 out of 5 stars, it seems a really good deal.

The offer ends on May 2nd and, as I said, delivery is free for the weekend.

Chicco 360 Table Seat £29.97 @ Kiddicare

by Luschka van Onselen in Deals on 13 March, 2011 at 6:00 pm

Chicco 360 Table Seat £29.97 @ Kiddicare

The Chicco 360 Table Seat is the perfect high chair alternative and it's currently £29.97 at Kiddicare – that's £30.02 less. Annoyingly, that .02p means you're going to have to either buy something else to push you over the £29.99 threshold for free postage, or pay £4.95 for postage.

The Chicco 360 is the only table seat that can rotate through 360° in 6 different positions. It has a hook-on system which easily adapts to fit all types of table, which makes it ideal if you have a small house or kitchen as there's no chunky high chair to trip over.

The Chicco 360 has a hook-on system which easily adapts to all types of tables as it is fitted with a dual adjuster system. That, and the fact that this is a very compact seat when closed makes it ideal for travel.

Babies are messy eaters so, usefully, the seat lining can be completely removed and the fabric part is machine washable.

The table seat is suitable from six months and one of the reviewers still uses it for her 4 year old.

Britax Adventure High Back Booster Seat £29.97 @ Kiddicare

by Tamsin Oxford in Deals on 11 March, 2011 at 3:00 pm

Britax Adventure High Back Booster Seat £29.97 @ Kiddicare

The Britax Adventure high back booster chair is on sale at Kiddicare for £29.97. This is a nice saving off the usual RRP of £59.99 for a high quality booster seat with sturdy sides and impact protection.

The price of the Britax Adventure high back booster seat includes delivery, and if you order in the next few hours you can have it arrive on Monday. If you wish. If your need is pressing and urgent.

The Britax Adventure seat has a name, Billy, and it is lightweight with side-impact protection and is ergonomically designed for older children. The headrest is adjustable to multiple positions and can be adjusted as your child grows.

You’ll also find that the Britax Adventure has an adjustable back rest, pull out drink holders, a snack tray, 3-point seat belt installation, and weighs in at 3.9kgs. The Britax range is quite good, I think, and comes with great reviews and safety reputation.

Sleep Tight Travel Cot £29.97 @ Kiddicare

by Sarah Macdonald in Deals on 28 February, 2011 at 12:00 pm

Sleep Tight Travel Cot £29.97 @ KiddicareKiddicare are selling this PINKBLUE or BLACK Sleep Tight Travel Cot for £29.97; the full rrp is £59.99.

Travel Cots are the most genius invention and one of the things I’d put on my ‘must have’ baby items list if I were ever asked to write one!

They can be a little bit pricey and it’s easy to get sucked into the little extra bits and pieces that manufacturers will have you believe are essential; but you don’t NEED the hanging toys, the bit that plays 10 of the most popular nursery rhymes or flashing lights; honestly, you don’t.

This Sleep Tight Travel Cot is nice and simple, does what it needs to do and as a result the sale price of £29.97 is pretty spot on (the rrp is a bit OTT in my opinion), it's suitable from birth to approximately 15 kgs.

It's got padded rails, comes with a padded foam base - this is NOT a mattress, you can buy one of those if you wish but in my experience a few extra blankets suffice.

The Sleep Tight Travel Cot folds up into it's own carry bag, has see-through mesh panel sides and weighs a mere 9kgs.

Now, the Sleep Tight Travel Cot comes in BLACK, PINK and BLUE and is so popular that it's currently on pre-order - the shipping date is 9 March 2011, just 10 days away (how can it be March already, we'll soon be writing Christmas deals again; crazy!).

Happy Travelling.

Have IPhone? Have Kiddicare Price Comparison!*If you're anti-Apple then I'd go away for an hour and come back when this post has 'moved on'*

I L O V E my iPhone. It's white (which are far better than black ones - yes, they are!) and it is jam packed with lots of useful apps...and both versions of Angry Birds.

One of the most useful apps, which I discovered a fair while ago, is one which scans bar codes and tells you whether any shops in the local vicinity are selling it cheaper than the store you're in.

BUT, it doesn't give you any online comparisons.

Kiddicare - they're smart y'know - have just launched their own iPhone app that does the same thing, but tells you whether THEY have it in stock and if it's cheaper; from my experience with Kiddicare, they are rarely beaten on price!

Have IPhone? Have Kiddicare Price Comparison!

I love this idea!  It appeals to my bargain hunter side AND my iPhone loving side.

If you've got an iPhone , an iPod Touch or an iPad then you can download the Kiddicare Price Comparison app HERE from iTunes, and just to make it even more appealing...it's FREE!

Travel Cot Deals (£40 Off) @ Kiddicare

by Sarah Macdonald in Deals on 27 November, 2010 at 12:00 pm

Travel Cot Deals (£40 Off) @ KiddicareIf 'have baby - will travel!' is your mantra, rather than 'have baby - will become a hermit and never stay away from home overnight until they are at least 18!', then you'll need a Travel Cot!

Travel cots are are a most genius invention and one of the things I'd put on my 'must have' baby items list, if I were ever asked to write one!

They can be a little bit pricey and it's easy to get sucked into the little extra bits and pieces that manufacturers will have you believe are essential.

You don't NEED the hanging toys, the bit that plays 10 of the most popular nursery rhymes or flashing lights; honestly, you don't!

Kiddicare have three travel cots currently on offer:

All of them fold down and pack away into their own carry bags, the sides are mesh so you can see through to the inside and your baby can see through to the outside.

They all have a foam base, but if you want something a little MORE on the bottom, then you can buy a mattress to go with your chosen travel cot.

At this price, I'd be tempted to buy two and keep one at home (you can use them as playpens too by the way) and keep one at the grandparents' house...ready for those impromptu baby sitting offers *wink*

Before I go - if you don't buy two then you're going to j u s t be under the limit for free postage - so add a set of socks (or something similar that you'll use) to your order to j u s t take it over, otherwise you'll be paying £4.95 when you don't have to.
