Baby Weavers Brunch Highchair £15 @ Kiddicare

by Lynley Oram in Deals on 18 May, 2013 at 6:00 pm

Baby Weavers Brunch Highchair £15 @ KiddicareIf you like the look of this one then be quick, I can't imagine it will last long. Not with Kiddicare selling the Baby Weavers Brunch Highchair - Lime Zest for £15 instead of the RRP of £60. That's a saving of 70%.

Suitable for babies from six months onwards, the Baby Weavers Brunch Highchair works as a standard high chair complete with a tray.

The robust plastic and aluminium frame is lightweight and the Highchair can be used up to toddlers of 3 years. The spacious seat is wipe clean and has a 5 point harness.

Features:

  • Suitable from 6 Months+
  • 5 Point harness
  • Wipe Clean

All the reviews on the website are positive. This is typical of what customers had to say: "A lovely stylish neat high hair easy to assemble and easy to clean. If I had to pick a complaint that I could change it would be that it doesn't fold up. This was bought for our fourth child and in the past we've bought booster chairs that attach to normal chairs, but thought this time would be easier for our son to have his own high chair that could be stored away. However, as it doesn't fold up has to be left out....... but that's the only thing we would change."

Compact Wooden Cot With Funky Friends Bedding £63 @ Kiddicare

by Sarah Macdonald in Deals on 29 April, 2013 at 11:00 am

Compact Wooden Cot With Funky Friends Bedding £63 @ KiddicareYou can pick up a compact wooden cot from Kiddicare for £63 (using checkout code AHD73NV9C) at the moment, rather than its recommended retail price of £214.97.

Now I'm a fan of big cot beds, but they're quite big and I've always been lucky enough to have the space for them; where space is more of a challenge a compact cot is just what you need.

Suitable from birth up to around 18 months, it's made from pine and has a two base positions; both sides and ends are slatted too so you can see in and your baby can see out from all angles.

It comes complete with the correct sized mattress, and a Funky Friends bedding set - which consists of a quilt and bumper - and is ideal for smaller nurseries or as a secondary cot that lives at a grandparent's house.

Delivery is free, because you've spent over £29.99, and you can even chose a delivery time slot too.

IDon't forget to add the HD73NV9C discount code at the checkout!

Buzzing Brains Jr Mechanic Trolley £12.50 @ Kiddicare

by Lynley Oram in Deals on 28 April, 2013 at 2:00 pm

Buzzing Brains Jr Mechanic Trolley £12.50 @ KiddicareIf there's anything that little ones love playing with as they start to gain control over their hands and fingers, it is little toy tools. Kiddicare has reduced the price of the Buzzing Brains Jr Mechanic Trolley from £49 to £12.50.

Your little one will have hours of fun with the Jr Mechanic Trolley. It is packed with everything a mechanic in training needs to treat their cars. The Jr Mechanic Trolley contains 9 accessories that are the perfect size for small hands.

Now the manufacturer can't promise their exclusive range of Buzzing Brains toys will make your child a genius, but they like toys do, they will stimulate their senses and develop their skills. Plus give them hours of FUN! From high contrast, multi-sensory toys for newborns to role play games for pre-schoolers, each Buzzing Brains toy comes with an age recommendation for developmental appropriateness. Trust us, your little one's going to love them.

Most of the customer reviews are pretty positive. This is typical "My sons simply love this. I bought it for my eldest who is nearly 3 and both him and his younger 19 month old brother simply adore it. You do have to keep an eye on where the bits get left but then again this is designed for children 3+".

Bumblebee Rocking Animal Chair £29.99 @ Kiddicare

by Sarah Macdonald in Deals on 6 April, 2013 at 12:00 pm

Bumblebee Rocking Animal Chair £29.99 @ KiddicareOhhhh, I love the look of this Bumblebee Rocking Animal Chair!  Kiddicare are selling them for £29.99 instead of their full £90.

Tell me this little chap is not CUTE (he looks like a chap don't you think?).  He's brightly coloured, has a friendly little face and looks seriously comfy - if they had a bigger version for grown-ups you can guarantee they'd have them in the funky 'staff play spaces' at Google and Facebook!

The seat offers a lot of support for younger riders - the minimum age is 9 months and that's with adult supervision - and I can imagine they'd want to spend more than plenty of hours rocking away with their bumblebee friend.

The frame is made from wood and is good and sturdy.  I just think this Bumblebee Rocking Animal Chair is super, slightly quirky and makes a nice change from the usual rocking toys that are on the market; I'm almost disappointed I don't have anyone to buy him for.

Delivery is free and you can even choose the hour of the day you'd like your Bumblebee Rocking Animal Chair delivered on; awesome.

Baby Weavers Travel Cot £29.99 @ Kiddicare

by Sarah Macdonald in Deals on 27 March, 2013 at 10:00 am

Baby Weavers Travel Cot £29.99 @ KiddicareKiddicare are selling this Baby Weavers travel cot in 'Nelly Blue' for £29.99, rather than £69.99.

This Baby Weavers travel cot is suitable from birth to approximately 15kgs or until your little one can stand up. It's quick and easy to assemble which makes it ideal for taking away on holidays or with you when you're visiting relatives.

It comes complete with a padded base and a storage pocket for keeping babies toys.   It's easy to keep clean and store when you're not using it as it comes with its own travel bag.

Now, about that padded base: I've had more than a few dealings with travel cots during my parenting days and whilst they are padded, they're not necessarily the most soft and comfy things in the world, so you'll be well-advised to put a few blankets on top of it.

Kiddicare say they'll provide free deliver on orders over £29.99 - I'm pretty sure that includes orders which ARE £29.99 too - if it doesn't, I'll be extremely disappointed in them and may even consider composing a strongly worded email to their customer care team.

Buzzing Brains Fun Bricks £3.99 @ Kiddicare.com

by Luschka van Onselen in Deals on 9 March, 2013 at 11:00 am

Buzzing Brains Fun Bricks £3.99 @ Kiddicare.comKiddicare has a sale on The Buzzing Brains Fun Bricks, which is reduced from £14.99 to £3.99.

The Buzzing Brains Fun Bricks look quite similar in concept to LEGO, but with 54 colourful building Bricks at £3.99, they are considerably cheaper. The bricks are larger though, making them the perfect toy for your little one who is just learning how to create with their own two hands. Brick play is great for children, giving them the opportunity to stimulate their imagination and learning skills while encouraging discovery, fine motor skills and open-ended play.

We have a rather huge LEGO collection, but we also have non-LEGO bricks, which for us are perfect for going on holiday with, or using when we're out and about. They keep little people entertained, without the risk of getting lost, which suits me.

These are suited for children over 3 years of age.

Rocking Horses From £21.99 @ Kiddicare

by Sarah Macdonald in Deals on 8 March, 2013 at 9:00 am

Rocking Horses From £21.99 @ KiddicareIf you're in the market for a rocking horse then you need to gallop over to Kiddicare  (sorry, I'm in cheesy pun mode today!) and take a look at the rocking horses they've got on special offer.

Rocking horses are flippin' expensive you know! Even the cheapest of the cheap ones stray close to the £100 mark, let alone the insanely priced ones that sell for thousands of pounds - they have to be collectors items surely..?  I'd be rather reluctant to let the kids play on it for that sort of money!

I love anything to do with horses (they are my sanctuary) and have very fond memories of the two HUGE (in my memory at least) rocking horses that I used to ride when I went to nursery. I never had one at home though, as they were expensive creatures even back then in the 'old days'.

REJOICE, then, at the fab price of these rocking horses over at Kiddicare: their original prices were £89.99, but now they're either £21.99 or £25.99 - it all depends on which colour and 'breed' you buy.  You can go for the traditional look, or choose a more modern type, or even 'Daniel the Donkey' - who I think is rather cute!

Neither of them fall into the free delivery on all orders over £29.99 category - if there's something else you need then you could always tip your order over that amount, otherwise you'll need to pay for delivery.

Buzzing Brains Wooden Baby Walker With Blocks £11 @ Kiddicare

by Luschka van Onselen in Deals on 14 February, 2013 at 7:00 pm

Buzzing Brains Wooden Baby Walker With Blocks £11 @ KiddicareKiddicare has 50% off the Buzzing Brains Wooden Baby Walker, filled with blocks. It's normally £22, but is now selling for £11, which is a great, great price for a wooden trolley walker, and more so for one with blocks!

This Buzzing Brains walker is kind of like a two in one toy as it's both a walker and a set of wooden blocks. It's very colourful which should appeal to little ones, and reaches 34 cm high. They say it's suitable from 12 months up, but I wonder if that applies if you have an early walker.  Mine were 8 months and 10 months when they started walking and I was on the lookout for one of these, but found them all very expensive! I'm quite sad I didn't find this offer then!

While most of the reviews on it are pretty great - mentioning that it's colourful and good construction - there are some that complain that it's too low, making toddlers lean over it and tip it up, falling and knocking their heads. It's perhaps worth either putting something heavier in the cart while they're learning to walk, or worth waiting till they are stable on their feet and can just use it as a trolley.

Red Kite Little Bugs Bouncy Cradle £13.99 @ Kiddicare

by Luschka van Onselen in Deals on 8 February, 2013 at 7:00 pm

Red Kite Little Bugs Bouncy Cradle £13.99 @ Kiddicare

Kiddicare is selling a Red Kite Little Bugs Bouncy Cradle for £13.99 instead of  £40. Ordinarily there'd be free delivery on this as it's over £29.99, but with the discounted rate it isn't, so you have to add £4.95 for delivery, or buy for an additional £16 to get the free delivery.

The Red Kite Little Bugs Bouncy Chair is really sweet, actually. It's bright and colourful, but lightweight and not terribly bulky looking. It has very cute ladybug and snail soft toys dangling from the removable toy bar at the top, and a very playful pattern.

The bouncer itself weighs 2.4kg and is suitable for use from birth to around 9kg.

The seat is padded for comfort, as is the crotch pad, which also has a 3-point harness. The feet are non slip, so when it vibrates it shouldn't move around the room, but should soothe and calm your baby.

The Red Kite Little Bugs Bouncy Cradle is part of a discontinued line, which is unfortunate, since it's so cute!

Baby Weavers Wooden Combination Highchair £49.99 @ Kiddicare

by Luschka van Onselen in Deals on 29 January, 2013 at 7:00 pm

Baby Weavers Wooden Combination Highchair £49.99 @ Kiddicare

Kiddicare have the Baby Weavers Wooden Combination Highchair on offer for £49.99 instead of £90. There's free delivery for items over £29.99, so this will certainly qualify.

There are 95 reviews for the Baby Weavers Wooden Combination Highchair, with a 4.5 star rating, with the main points being lost for it being a bulky and heavy - and I suppose sturdy - highchair.

The chair is suitable for children from 6 months and it converts from a highchair to a chair with a play table. It also comes with a detachable tray that can be used in three positions, providing further flexibility.

For your baby's safety there's a full set of safety harnesses, so they won't fall out, and it complies with BSEN14988 for safety standards. The chair is made of solid rubber wood and has a natural finish.

Kiddicare.com Stride n Ride For £29.99 @ Kiddicare.com

Save a very nice 50% on the Kiddicare.com Stride n Ride from Kiddicare.com. This neat little gadget allows a second child to stand at the back of the pushchair when they get tired, great for families with more than one young child. It has been reduced from £59.99 to £29.99.

This great new product to kiddicare.com, the Stride n Ride is designed for children from two to six years and can take up to a maximum of 20kg. The Stride n Ride is a strong, practical and playful solution for you when a double pushchair is not convenient and enables your second child to stand at the back of your pushchair when their little legs are tired. The Stride n Ride easily attaches to the rear of most umbrella folding pushchairs and can be lifted up when not in use with the strap attached.

This is a great idea, none of us can push two pushchairs around at the same time while shopping and there’s nothing worse than tired, moaning children while trying to get the grocery shopping done. The Stride n Ride comes in black and just makes life a little easier.

January Sales Bargains!

by Lynley Oram in Features on 14 January, 2013 at 1:00 pm

January Sales Bargains! It is January. You probably already noticed that. Hard to miss it when all the telltale signs are there. Grey skies, dark afternoons and empty bank accounts. Another clue is all the signs up announcing January sales. Although that's not quite as much an indicator as it used to be. Nowadays, the January sales seem to start in December.

However, for many of us snapping up sale bargains is hard as everything goes on Christmas and we're left staring at brass tacks until payday comes around again.

There is still hope though. As we come to the end of the sales anything that is left may be going in the super clearance bargain basement! Also, there are stores that refresh stock in the sale section each week, and others that don't start their sales until further into January.  Here's a roundup of the big retailers of baby stuff who are still running sales.
