Fab Felt Jewellery Maker £10 @ The Entertainer

The Fab Felt Jewellery Maker from The Entertainer, while listed as 50% off, is actually reduced from £25 to £10, making it 60% off. Standard UK delivery is another £2.99 but you can also use the free click and collect service with as little as 30 minutes notice.

There are no reviews on The Entertainer for this product, so I can't tell you how well this concept translates into reality, but according to the blurb that goes with it, budding fashion designers will go crazy for this simple to use textiles kit.

The pink gadget transforms wool into felt patches from which you can make one-of-a-kind pieces of jewellery. You can create bangles, felt balls for necklaces and turn felt hearts and flowers into pretty brooches to wear on coats, tops and school bags, they say.

Suitable for children aged six and up, the set includes the jewellery maker, eight brightly coloured wool tops, beads, jewels, clasps and various design tools.  All you need to add is a bit of patience and some imagination. Sounds Fab to me!

John Adams Magic Gift Wrapper £5.97 @ Amazon

John Adams Magic Gift Wrapper £5.97 @ Amazon

Amazon have a huge 70% off the John Adams Magic Gift Wrapper, reducing it from £19.99 to £5.97. Normally when Amazon offers such large reductions, it's because what they're selling is rubbish and they basically can't give it away fast enough, but what struck me with this particular offer is that one of the reviewers says if you can get it discounted, it's pretty good - and this is a pretty good discount!

This fab set with its workstation is designed to guide you through every step of the way for designing, creating and wrapping wonderful and unique presents. Follow the step by step instructions or use your imagination to make exciting gifts for every occasion.

Firstly you design an egg using acetate shapes, photographs angel hair, tiny gems or silver stars and more. When the egg is finished and put together, you can decorate the outside of it and then you wrap your unique gift, popping the egg into the clip and nestling the top of the egg into the base of the plunger. Wrap the egg, make it pretty with with a length of ribbon or silver string, add a gift tag and decorate with stickers,  jewels and a personalised message.

Children aged 7 -10 can design six gifts using this set. For the price it seems like a great stocking filler to me!

My First Craft Animated Animals £2.69 @ Amazon

My First Craft Animated Animals £2.69 @ Amazon

My First Craft Animated Animals are reduced from £8.99 to £2.69 at Amazon. That’s a 70% discount and saves you £6.30.

Normally when Amazon has whopping big discounts on things, it tends to be accompanied by negative reviews. That’s not the case this time though. In fact, there are no reviews on these John Adams crafty kits, so it’s a bit of a gamble.

The First Crafts encourage creativity, interaction, co-ordination and fine motor skills. These African animals have articulated bodies where the limbs move if put together properly. There’s also a free standing tree that can be decorated with foam leaves.

The bits come ready made, with already cut cardboard characters which clip together with safe plastic poppers. As such it’s not going to take terribly long to complete.

Adult supervision is probably required due to the small parts, and three year olds will be able to create and decorate five sturdy, friendly animals with moveable limbs and wobbly eyes.
